Before we embark on this journey,
Let's take a few moments to become still and quiet and settle into your space.
Bringing your attention to your breath.
Taking in a few long,
Slow,
Deep breaths.
Noticing all the tiny sensations the breath brings to your body.
Feeling the cool air entering your nostrils.
Feeling the rise and fall of your stomach and your chest.
And connecting with the expansion on the in-breath and the release on the out-breath.
And notice your mind becoming quiet.
Your body slightly softening and settling deeper into the chair.
Feel your connection with Mother Earth,
Either through the soles of your feet or down through your root chakra.
You slowly slip yourself into the pool,
As if layers of the past are being washed away.
Notice what comes up for you as these layers begin to surface.
Allow the emotions to flow.
Give yourself permission to sit with them.
You may want to take out your journal and read it.
