Throat chakra healing meditation.
Begin by taking a comfortable seated position with your back supported,
Your head is free.
Align your head,
Neck and spine in a relaxed but upright position.
Your feet can be planted on the ground or crossed.
Roll your shoulders up,
Back and down a few times.
It may also feel good to try a few head and neck rolls.
Often when our throat chakra is blocked,
We also experience tension and tightness in our neck and shoulders.
After a few rolls,
Allow your shoulders to lower,
Resting away from your ears.
Gently close your eyes.
Feel yourself being supported by the chair beneath you.
Let's take a few deep cleansing breaths to release out the stale air and energy from our bodies.
On your next inhale,
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Release it out through your mouth.
Again,
Inhale deeply through your nose,
Exhale fully out of your mouth.
Once more,
Deep breath in and sigh it out.
Good.
We will awaken and warm up our throat chakra with some Ujjayi or ocean breaths,
Feeling the warmth and the tactile sensation on our throats as we breathe in and audibly create a sound like the ocean in our throats.
So breathing in and out,
Feeling and hearing the ocean wave.
Again,
Breathing in,
Hearing and feeling the sound as you breathe out.
Keep going with this Ujjayi breath.
Again,
It's this audible sound we are creating on the back of our throats,
Feeling the constriction on the back,
Hearing the sound as the wave of air moves across our throat.
Breathing in and out.
Once more.
Good.
You can release this breath and simply allow your breath to return to its natural sound,
Natural rhythm.
And now,
Release your breath and continue to focus our attention on the area of our throat.
As you naturally breathe in and out,
You may begin to visualize the color blue beginning to illuminate this area.
The throat chakra is associated with the blue color of sky and water.
The throat chakra is associated with the blue color of sky and water.
You may see this blue colored light growing brighter with each breath in and out.
You may simply begin to feel a calming energy of peace and tranquility.
The throat chakra is also associated with transformation,
Change,
Creativity,
Communication and self-expression.
We don't have to know how to make this transformation.
We only have to be willing.
Here in this moment,
We can affirm to ourselves the following statements.
I am willing just to be willing.
I am willing to allow more balance and alignment in my throat and in my entire body.
I am willing to freely express myself.
I am willing to listen and allow more balanced communication.
I am willing to allow transformation for my highest good.
I am willing to allow clearer connection between my physical experience and my higher spiritual wisdom.
I am willing to speak and live my truth from a place of love.
I am willing to forgive myself and others.
I am willing to openly express,
Give and receive love.
I am willing just to be willing.
Take a few deep breaths in and out and feel those words and intentions of each breath and feel those words and intentions of each of these statements resonating throughout your body.
The throat chakra is associated with the sound hum.
Hum,
So here we will introduce this mantra,
Which you may use for the remainder of your meditation.
You may want to chant this aloud,
Feeling into the vibration of the sound in your throat area.
Taking a deep breath in,
It may sound like this.
Hum.
Hum.
Hum.
Hum.
You may also choose to express this inwardly.
Simply allow the mantra to carry you and support you for the remainder of our meditation,
As much or as little as you prefer.
You can also simply enjoy the music or return to your breath whenever you need it as a place to recenter.
In a few minutes,
I will guide you out with the sound of my bell and my voice.
Hum.
Hum.
Hum.
Hum.
Hum.
Hum.
Hum.
