This meditation is intended to help you find stability, grounding, and inner peace in times when you feel bombarded or overwhelmed by the negative energy and chaos around you. Here, I will guide you through a combination of visualization, “I am” mantras as positive affirmations, and breathwork in order to create a renewed sense of clarity and empowerment in your life.

Meditation for Inner Peace and Grounding In times when we find ourselves surrounded by chaos,

It is natural for us to lose our sense of balance and security.

It's inevitable that we would sometimes be left feeling vulnerable,

Scattered,

Or confused.

Like a current,

We can easily become swept up in the negative energy surrounding us.

You can't offer comfort from a place of worry,

Or teach from a place of confusion.

You may not be able to control the actions or experiences of other people around you,

But you can absolutely control you and how you respond to whatever the world brings.

You have the power to become a light that leads the way through your own positive example on a path of compassion,

Calm,

And love amidst the chaos.

There is a quote by Abraham Hicks that states,

One person who is aligned with the universe is more powerful than a million who are not.

In today's meditation,

We will set an intention to realign and connect ourselves to our own inner peace,

Purposefully and mindfully creating a grounded space for yourself and the world around you.

Let's begin.

Allow yourself to find a comfortable and upright seated position.

Your back is supported,

Head and neck are free,

And if it feels good,

You may slowly roll your neck from one side to the other.

Roll your shoulders up,

Back,

And down.

Then plant both of your feet evenly on the ground.

Allow your hands to rest comfortably on your lap.

Now gently close your eyes.

Let's start with a few cleansing breaths.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and breathe out through your mouth.

Again long inhale through the nose,

Long exhale through the mouth.

Once more,

Lengthen the inhale,

Extend the exhale.

Allow your body to relax a little more with each new breath in and out.

Feel yourself supported by the seat beneath you.

Your feet are stable on the ground below.

Your body is relaxed.

Your mind is becoming more centered with each breath.

Here we will create a safe and grounded space with a white light visualization to ignite a sense of empowerment and renewed energy within you.

Start by imagining a ball of warm golden light shining brightly above you.

It is as bright and warm as the sun.

Observe as this light transforms from a golden color into a pure white light,

Both powerful and bright.

Now begin to turn your focus inward as the light begins to move from the outer world into your physical body.

As the light begins to enter the crown of your head,

Feel the protective and loving nature of this energy.

Notice and feel this light slowly moving down your forehead to the space that sits just between your eyebrows.

Here you are illuminating the home of your intuition and imagination.

Take a deep breath in and out.

Let go of any old thoughts that no longer serve you.

Now begin to allow that light to move down towards your throat and continuing to travel even further down into your chest,

Filling your heart up with this beautiful white glowing light.

Pause for a moment here and feel this loving energy flowing to you.

Take a long breath in and release it out.

Now picture the light moving on to your abdomen,

Your solar plexus,

Your body's emotional center.

Here you can see and feel the white light growing brighter.

On your next deep breath in and out,

Feel the soothing energy of peace and calm flowing to you and through you.

Deep breath in and out.

Visualize this light now expanding and radiating further,

Stretching down through your hips,

Into your legs,

Down to your feet.

This light continues downward,

Settling and rooting you into the ground beneath you,

Supporting you,

Giving you a sense of security,

Balance and stability.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

Like a tree rooted into the ground,

You are stable and strong.

You can easily withstand the elements.

Feelings and thoughts come and go like the wind,

But you remain anchored by this inner light and energy.

To take us even deeper into our meditation,

We will now sink our in and out breaths with the following I am statements to affirm our connection with our own inner wisdom.

Each time as we breathe in,

We will say the words,

I am.

As we breathe out,

We will say and exude positive feelings.

On your next inhale,

Say to yourself in your own mind,

I am.

As you exhale,

Safe.

Breathe in,

I am.

As you breathe out,

Love.

Breathe in,

I am.

Breathe out,

Light.

Continue to sink your in breaths with the following words.

Breathing in,

I am.

Breathe out,

Clarity.

Breathe in,

I am.

Breathe out,

Balanced.

Breathe in,

I am.

Breathe out,

Guided.

Breathe in,

I am.

Breathe out,

Knowing.

Breathe in,

I am.

Breathe out,

Peace.

Continue this cycle of breaths and affirmations on your own using any one or more of these words that resonate with you today.

Or if it feels good,

You can return to the visualization of white light emanating from you and simply experience any feelings that come up for you.

Your experiences and perspectives are uniquely yours.

It's okay to feel whatever it is you're feeling right now.

This is a part of the process,

Another step down the path.

Breathe in,

I am.

Breathe out,

Clarity.

No matter what emotions come up for you,

Know that it's your nature to ebb and flow.

Your natural state is one of stability and balance.

Breathe in,

I am.

Breathe out,

Guided.

Breathe in,

I am.

Your happiness and inner peace is sacred and is dominant.

Your happiness is not dependent on anyone else.

Everything you could ever need lies right here within you.

Breathe in,

I am.

Breathe out,

Balance.

Remember that you don't have to figure it all out at once.

You don't have to figure anything out at all.

You can just simply feel better one step at a time.

Just feel a little more ease right now with this next breath in and out.

Breathe in,

I am.

Breathe out,

Balance.

Keeping your eyes closed,

We will take a few deep cleansing breaths together.

Take a slow deep breath in and release it out.

Again,

Deep breath in and let it all out.

One more time.

Breathe in and let it go.

Good.

Still keeping the eyes closed,

We will end today's practice with words of loving kindness for ourselves and for the greater world.

We always start by practicing this compassion towards ourselves first.

So repeat the following words after me,

Either aloud or softly whisper these in your own mind.

May I be happy.

May I be well.

May I be safe.

May I be peaceful and at ease.

Good.

Now we will extend these heartfelt wishes out to our loved ones,

Friends,

Community and the world around us.

Repeat after me.

May you be happy.

May you be well.

May you be safe.

May you be peaceful and at ease.

As you are ready,

You may very gently and in your own time,

Blink your eyes open.

Taking this energy that we've created with you out into the world,

Remember that no one has the ability to make you feel one way or another unless you give them that power.

Your inner light is your compass.

It is always there for you leading the way.

So trust your own pure heart and intuition to guide you.

You always have access to the sacred space of inner peace.

Tap into this wisdom and powerful energy that comes from within you.

And remember the greatest gift you can give another person is your own happiness.

You are balanced.

You are peaceful.

You are powerful.

And you're so loved and appreciated.
