Morning mantra meditation.
A meditation first thing in your morning is a wonderful way to welcome a new day.
There is a Buddhist quote that says,
Each morning we are born again.
In today's meditation,
I will introduce a mantra which will serve as a vehicle that will help to transport your mind inward.
We will focus on this idea of rebirth and a fresh start for ourselves.
In sleep,
We essentially hit the pause button on the momentum of our lives.
But as soon as we wake up,
We may pick up right where we last left the state of things.
This is why meditation is the most beneficial thing you can do when you first awaken.
With meditation,
We push the reset button,
Refreshing our minds and allowing a new launching point from which the rest of our day can unfold.
Let's get started.
Begin by finding a seated position you can comfortably maintain for the next 10 to 15 minutes.
Your legs may be crossed or feet can be planted on the ground.
Your back is supported.
Your head and neck are free.
Sit up tall,
Feeling your spine stretch and lengthen.
It may feel good to stretch your arms all the way up,
Feeling your body fully lengthen.
Release your arms down and relax back into your seat.
Feel the alignment in your head,
Neck and spine.
Allow your hands to rest comfortably in your lap.
Release any tightness in your jaw.
Let your tongue fall from the roof of your mouth.
Relax your forehead and face.
And if you haven't already done so,
Gently close your eyes now.
Let's welcome in this new day with a few deep cleansing breaths.
Inhale deeply through your nose.
Exhale fully through your mouth.
Again,
Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Continue to lengthen the inhale and extend the exhale.
On your next inhale,
Breathe in for three and slowly out for five.
Let's do that two more times at that same pace.
In for three and out for five.
Good.
Now close your mouth.
And on your next inhale,
Breathe in and out through your nose.
Exhaling for three,
Exhaling for five.
Continue this cycle of breath on your own.
For the next 10 minutes,
Know that there is nothing you need to do,
Nothing you need to accomplish.
This is your time to reset your body,
Your mind,
And your spirit.
Reconnect to your breath.
Feel the rise of your belly to your ribs,
Then your chest.
Then feel the fall of the chest to the ribs to the belly.
We will now introduce a morning mantra to guide us deeper into our meditation.
Softly repeat this mantra in your mind.
Today is a new day and a new beginning.
There are limitless opportunities to start anew.
Right now,
In this moment,
I can choose to begin again.
Now allow this mantra to rest in your mind.
Notice how your breath is moving.
Now in this moment,
I can choose to begin again.
Today is a new day and a new beginning.
There are limitless opportunities to start anew.
Right now,
In this moment,
I can choose to begin again.
There is no need to force or repeat this mantra the entire time.
Simply return to the mantra as often as you wish,
Softly pulling you back to your center.
This is where your wisdom sits,
Where you find your inner strength and power.
Today is a new day and a new beginning.
There are limitless opportunities to start anew.
Right now,
In this moment,
I can choose to begin again.
Continue with this mantra on your own as you like for the next several minutes.
This mantra is your reminder,
Bringing you back to your center,
A point of focus you can gently return to any time you want.
This is where your wisdom sits,
Where you find your inner strength and power.
This is where your wisdom sits,
Where you find your inner strength and power.
This is your time to let go and just be here in this quiet moment.
No agenda,
Not needing to make anything happen,
Reconnecting to your breath,
Allowing the gentle reminder of your mantra.
Today is a new day and a new beginning.
There are limitless opportunities to start anew.
Right now,
In this moment,
I can choose to begin again.
This is where your wisdom sits,
Where you find your inner strength and power.
This is where your wisdom sits,
Where you find your inner strength and power.
This is where your wisdom sits,
Where you find your inner strength and power.
Keeping your eyes closed.
We will reconnect to our breath once more as we prepare to close out our practice.
Take a deep breath into your belly,
Up through your ribs and chest,
And exhale,
Letting it all go.
Once more,
Deep inhale and let it out.
Remember that today is a new day,
A launching point for new ideas and experiences.
You can consciously choose to let go of the past and instead remember that each new moment offers endless opportunities to start again.
You are creating a new path today,
A new reality that is unfolding for you right here and now.
So let's be open to all possibilities and excited for what's coming next.
When you're ready,
Blink your eyes open.
I invite you to take a moment to set an intention for your day.
What would your ideal day look like for you?
What feeling would you enjoy the most from your experiences today?
If you have a journal,
I would encourage you to put this on paper as well as anything else that came up during your meditation sitting.
It's inevitable that we will experience all kinds of feelings and interactions today.
But rather than trying to hold rigidly to any one moment or expect yourself to maintain this feeling throughout your day,
Know that you can always pause and reconnect your breath to this inner peace and guidance and simply begin again.
Thank you for deliberately choosing to take this time to realign yourself and allow in this renewed energy for your day.
And thank you so much for allowing me to guide you this morning.
Much love from my heart to yours.
Namaste.
