It's time to take care of the vessel that carries you.
This guided meditation helps you understand the mind and the thoughts that we continuously have while allowing you to relax and let go just a little bit more.
Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down and we'll start with three deep breaths.
In through your nose,
Open your mouth,
Let it go,
Full inhale through the nose and as you breathe out let your shoulders drop a little bit more.
Take another breath in and when you reach the top hold.
Hold it for ten,
Nine,
Eight,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One and release with a sigh.
Now turning on that imagination,
As your eyes are closed you see a big,
Vast,
Blue sky.
You may hear birds chirping,
You may feel a slight breeze upon your face.
Notice how blue the sky is.
Now as you visualize this blue,
Vast sky,
Noticing your thoughts.
Notice how they come and they go,
How the mind continuously is at play.
Now imagine in this vast,
Blue sky a cloud.
It might be light and fluffy,
It might be wispy and long,
It might be heavy and full of rain,
It might be even a little stormy.
Your thoughts are like these clouds.
The sky is always blue and vast and peaceful,
However clouds come and go just as our thoughts come and go.
The quality of our thoughts may vary,
Light,
Fluffy,
Or maybe an angry storm,
But the sky,
The blue sky is always there,
Ever present,
Always there underneath,
Spacious,
Clear,
Infinite and free.
As you continue to breathe in and out,
Just noticing your thoughts,
And as you notice them come into your awareness,
If we allow them just to be there and we don't stir or ruminate,
They will go,
They'll float away.
You are not your clouds,
You're not the weather,
Not the storms or the rain.
You are the witness,
The observer,
The container for your clouds to pass by.
You are the sky,
You are at peace,
You are at ease,
And you are free.
Taking one more full deep breath in,
And as you release,
If you have any leftover thoughts that you want to blow away,
Simply blow.
Take another breath in,
Gently open your eyes,
And have a wonderful rest of your day.
