
Waiting vs A-waiting: From Lack to Abundance
Eagerly anticipating something beyond your control? Let's discuss the feeling of wanting to make something happen and waiting for it to occur, vs trusting it to unfold. Tune in for a key distinction between waiting (impatiently!) and "awaiting" (a different approach, with more grace laced in!)

My friend made this beautiful distinction once.
It was like over 10 years ago and it has stuck with me ever since.
And it's the distinction between waiting and awaiting.
Waiting.
Tapping your toes.
You know thinking with anticipation about what might be impatient usually in the waiting game uh there's a beautiful whole poem in oh the places you'll go from dr seuss about the waiting place and it's a place where the pots never boil and the doors never open when you're knocking and it's just Not a place you want to hang out.
So where are you?
Waiting,
Waiting for permission,
Waiting for the right timing,
Waiting for the this.
Now that doesn't mean just Nike commercial style,
Just do it,
Right?
It doesn't mean that the opposite of waiting is just leap and the net will appear,
Right?
There's a different way to approach it,
Which is awaiting.
Which is that you take action when you're aligned,
When it's inspired,
And when you can't force something,
When you can't make it happen.
You relate to it in this beautiful,
Receptive state of awaiting where you trust that it's on its way.
This or something better is on its way.
That you have a joyful eagerness to meet that thing.
That you prepare your heart while you're preparing the outside situation and hoping that it comes to pass.
Whether this is getting a new job,
Finding the love of your life,
Or letting them find you,
Etc.
