Welcome.
Take this time for yourself,
For your soul.
For connecting with who you are,
How you are,
As you are.
To be able to let that be enough,
To let it be everything.
Make yourself more comfortable Make yourself at home in your skin in this moment Adjust your posture,
Open your mind and your heart.
And just sink in,
Drop down from your mind.
From the worries of the day.
From the activity of this time.
Into stillness.
There's a quote I adore that I'd love to share with you.
It's attributed to Saint Teresa of Lisieux,
And she says,
May today there be peace within.
May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others.
May you use the gifts that you have received.
And pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content with yourself just the way you are.
Let this knowledge settle into your bones and allow your soul the freedom to sing,
Dance,
Praise,
And love.
It is there for each and every one of us.
It is there for each and every one of us.
It is there for you.
It is here for you now.
This capacity to love,
To give and to receive.
Will you choose joy?
Because you can experience it and share it and make it contagious.
Even though it feels oftentimes like there's no place for joy that it's rude or offensive or ignorant or out of place.
And yet,
Is there no better place than right now?
To feel the joy of this existence of your breath.
For what is joy other than recognition of the preciousness of what is,
Of the miracle of being able to be here?
To experience life,
To be life living itself through you.
And joy is not necessarily happiness or ecstasy or pleasure.
It's a reverence.
It's an honoring.
It arises if you allow it.
You can be joyful even through tears.
You can feel whole.
By trusting that you are being yourself and showing up for and meeting all parts of yourself and of life.
And when there's not joy There may be its companion,
Sorrow,
But sorrow is beautiful too and it moves you and it moves through you with the same reverence of what is precious,
Just in relation to what is lost instead of being found.
Sorrow sings for what is gone,
For what mattered so much that's missing now.
And missed.
Just like joy celebrates that things are here,
That opportunities are here,
That people are here,
That you are here.
So can you let your joy and your sorrow dance?
Can you let them mix up with each other?
Sometimes in the same moment,
Sometimes back to back,
Sometimes in seasons.
There is nothing wrong with either of them.
You are not wrong or broken for feeling sorrow and you are not.
Ashamed or unworthy to feel your own joy.
These two arrive,
Sorrow and joy,
When you are connected.
So take this moment to return to your breath.
Feel connected to your body in space,
In time.
Feel connected to the place you're in,
The space you inhabit,
And the web of what links you to others,
And to possibilities,
And to actions,
And to rest.
The peace within.
Is a stance,
Is a choice,
Is a conclusion or symptom or natural unfolding of being at ease with what is That doesn't mean it's not tumultuous to get there sometimes.
It doesn't mean there's not every emotion along the way and in the same breath.
But there's a steadiness underneath,
A knowing.
That you're fundamentally okay because you're always here,
You have got your own back.
You will not abandon yourself.
Because of any situation,
Any belief.
You will stay.
Do you choose to stay?
When your yes resounds.
When it oozes out of your cells,
Your pores,
Your soul.
Then you will have a love that's not just up and vertical,
But that's horizontal and stretches like a horizon in each direction.
A love that is centered and expansive.
That is grounded and soaring.
Can you fall in love with life again?
Where did you forget?
When?
Why?
Does it even matter?
Can you fall in love with your life again?
What would it mean to do so?
What would it take to do so?
Not effort,
Not trying harder,
Not strife.
Just allow.
Allow what your life is leading you toward to be the fullness of what is here as you meet it with the fullness of who you are.
Letting the universe exist in your breath.
In this breath.
In this space.
When you're ready.
Bring yourself and all this goodness back into the room with you.
Let there not be a strong demarcation or compartmentalization between your meditation and life.
May you move as a walking meditation.
May you eat with mindfulness for what is nourishing you.
May you hug another with the love that you have reconnected with here now within you.
You've taken this time to shift your state,
To remember your truth.
So now you get to embody it.
May you enjoy that process and the process of progress and evolution.
That emerges through you in every moment of your day.
Namaste.
