I have a secret for you.
You can melt the hands off the clock,
Thus letting go of the pressures of time.
Shall we try together?
Visualize in your mind the clock with all of its annoying features.
Its incessant ticking.
Its constantly moving arms.
Its numbers so literal,
So factual,
Pressuring you constantly to move,
To move and move,
And to always be somewhere else.
And now visualize that you are somehow able to reach out and pluck a number off the clock.
Well that was easy.
And what will happen when the hand reaches that number?
It simply stopped.
Stopped.
Hmm,
This is interesting.
Try another number.
Go ahead,
Pluck it from the surface like you're plucking a dandelion right out of the ground.
And now watch the other hand approach that number.
And the number is no longer there.
So it simply stops.
No number,
No reason for the hand of the clock to record that number.
And what might you do next with this secret skill of yours?
Might you now begin to move all the letters off the clock,
Robbing it of its time,
Robbing it of its ability to pressure you out of this moment.
Go ahead,
Reach up again to the clock.
This time let your hands be still and only reach with your mind.
See yourself manipulating the clock like a little payback for each and every time it was your taskmaster.
Let a smile gently play on your lips.
Let your creativity flow.
Perhaps you want to visualize that when you stare at a number it melts and drips down the face of the clock.
And wouldn't it be lovely if you could melt the remaining hand of the clock right off its surface so that the second,
The minute,
And the hour timekeepers were just bending to you and becoming no more.
For if there are no more hands on this clock and if the numbers begin to melt,
Then the clock has no more say and time becomes still.
And if time stands still,
This moment can endure as long as you need.
Playfully playfully look at what remains on this timepiece in front of you and with a gentle smile and a refreshing breath set your gaze on another number.
Loosen it with your eyes and watch it pop off and fall.
Gaze around the clock,
Letting each number bend to your will in the most creative fashion you wish to imagine until all the numbers and all of the hands have simply melted right off of the clock.
And at that point in time you reach out your arm towards the clock,
Grab it,
Crumple it into a little ball and toss it behind your shoulder.
Lean back now,
Enjoy this moment in time.
Well done my friend,
Well done.
