So tonight what I want to do is guide you into deep peace for deep sleep.
I know for me that has been such an elusive search piece.
Piece looks conditional it looks like it belongs in a series of conditions in the outside but I'm still in the process as well of seeing that it's unconditional.
It's who we are.
It's a state of being.
And when we close our eyes,
Which we're gonna do tonight.
And slow down and tune in.
Sometimes we get this incredible glimpse of peace regardless of circumstances,
Regardless of life.
There's many fears that can come up for us around being at peace and it would be a wonderful thing if you would want to reflect on that perhaps tomorrow or perhaps before you.
Do this meditation.
Why am I afraid?
To be at peace.
Do I feel like I'd be lazy and capable?
Stupid.
Naive,
Immature.
Things wouldn't work out in my favor.
We have all these reasons why a settled mind,
A safe settled mind,
Isn't okay.
And so if we can look at those reasons in the face and start to observe them as old thinking that got passed down to us.
Surrender up a healing prayer.
What do I need to do to heal my fears between me and peace?
Then we can start to connect deeper with this.
Healing,
Loving state of being that is peace.
So let's see if we can tune you into that space tonight before you drift off to sleep.
So go ahead and take this time to get comfortable in your space.
Do a little wiggle of the toes and the fingers.
Get cozy.
Straighten your pillow,
Let your neck have some relaxation and start to take a couple deep breaths.
Inhale and exhale.
As best as you can let the day go.
And my goodness,
Know that you are human.
That every single one of us,
Even the great spiritual teachers,
Are human.
It's part of what we sign up for and we can't really get away from it.
So know that you've been doing the best that you can given what you have.
You're also moving through so much collectively.
Near that flower moving through the sidewalks.
And sometimes it seems like,
Gosh,
Will I ever see the light?
But you're doing an amazing job.
And so.
.
.
You begin to consciously slow down.
For a long time I didn't realize that fear,
Scatteredness,
Pain is a choice.
And I don't mean that the innocent handing down of it is the choice.
When we're an adult and we realize we have these patterns,
These programs,
We can start to become the aware observer of them.
They feel like they have us,
But we are more powerful than the habits in our mind.
And when we begin to hear that and know that,
It brings us peace.
Wow,
I'm the one in here.
When the scattered thoughts come that can say no thanks.
I've heard this one before and I'd like to open my mind to something new.
So as the old thinking comes tonight,
The stuff you've heard a million times,
I invite you to be brave.
Curious and open.
See if you can just say no thanks.
No thanks.
I'm just gonna see what else is in here for me tonight.
Just gonna hang out with Jamie and settle into the peace that is me.
So no thanks.
I'll come back to you another time.
Deep inhale and exhale in and out of the body as you really start to feel that physical connection with your body.
And the surface underneath the view.
Noticing all of those tiny points of contact and with this next exhale you let your body be held by the earth underneath of you.
I'm tired of running so fast and trying so hard to hold it all together and my god,
I'm just gonna let that go and surrender right now.
I am enough.
I am love,
I am peace,
I am that which I see.
I am unconditional and my brain is made to look for conditions.
And they choose to step outside of that and observe it right in front of them.
Look at that brain,
Trying so hard to keep me safe.
While I choose to rest underneath a bit.
In the peace that I am.
And so my physical body starts to relax,
My eyes,
My nose,
My face.
My chest,
My shoulders,
My belly.
I take breath into my hands and my feet.
And every exhale lets me sink a little bit deeper into this meditation.
I am fully present here by choice and anything that pulls me from it.
I gently and compassionately say no thanks.
Hey,
Thanks for coming!
Thanks for doing what you do to keep me safe,
Pet.
I'm learning about another experience right now.
Peace.
And so you allow yourself to settle a little bit deeper within.
The body is soft.
The mind is taking a back seat,
Nothing to suppress or control,
Just no thanks.
Not trying so hard,
Not needing to get anywhere,
Be anyone.
You're here with me and you are safe.
You are undetected.
And you open your intention.
As I journey into this meditation and drift to sleep tonight.
I wish to settle into the peace that I am.
Into the birthright,
Into the unconditional space of my true nature.
And so I simply become the aware observer of my experience.
I notice the sensation,
The thoughts.
The pattern.
I am not the thoughts if I can notice them.
And so I settle back into this space of relief.
Peace.
A quiet nothingness so simple and profound.
I choose this more than the other.
My choice to have peace.
I am that powerful.
I settle into the being that is stable within me.
The being,
The peaceful nature that doesn't change regardless of my age.
Regardless of my occupation or how much money I have or what I like to do or don't.
There is a part of my divinity.
Where I can stay.
I'm leaning into it.
No age,
No name.
Or gender.
Settling a little bit deeper into the observer the love.
The wordless ascent.
This is already a space so it's nothing you need to get.
Do.
It's a leaning into that which is already here when we let go of everything we think we know.
Let yourself settle a little bit deeper into your bed as you let go of your labels.
Concepts,
Your ideas,
Your judgment.
Purposely for just one night.
Becoming blank in the mind.
So as to rest in the soul.
So as to be held by the Light within you.
Gently breathing in and out as you settle a little bit deeper into this aware,
Conscious,
Seeing,
Observer space that you are.
Allowing it to dawn on you and take over.
Not to be known by your brain but felt.
Easy drifting and easy hanging out here.
No thanks to the part that wants to make sense.
That's not where we're hanging out right now.
For doing this for the sheer pleasure of doing it.
Because we're curious,
Because we can,
Because it's who we are.
Everything is easy.
Quiet.
Still.
And you are watching me or noticing.
The unfolding of energy.
Before the peaceful present that is you.
As you exist in this space.
Allowing yourself to let go and surrender into the safety of your being,
Residing within you all along.
One layer deeper.
Yet right here,
With you,
In you,
As you.
Part that is unchanging and whole and connected and loving.
Not needing to make sense of,
But simply being.
Resting in this space as long as you like.
As the peaceful awareness of your soul drifts you off to sleep.
