Welcome.
And a reminder that you don't have to bloom all the time.
This is a Yoga Nidra practice for rest and self-trust.
Can you settle in now to your yoga nidra nest?
Taking lots of time to help the body feel fully supported.
Gathering props,
Maybe a bolster or pillow beneath your knees.
Maybe a blanket covering the body.
Giving yourself full permission to be this comfortable.
All the way comfortable.
We're gathering here to realign with our natural pace.
Life naturally unfolds in cycles of action,
Rest,
Growth and release.
The earth is awake to these rhythms around us.
Trees stretching.
Water moving,
Seasons turning.
Life perpetually remembering itself.
You are part of that cycle.
Not separate from it.
Never separate from it.
We move through so much of life disconnected from our own rhythm.
Pushing through exhaustion.
Rushing,
Are unfolding.
Forgetting that the body moves in cycles just like the earth does.
Today.
Now.
You remember.
You remember your connection to nature.
Your own inner wisdom.
You remember that rest is not a break from your power.
Rest is your power.
To grow,
We must also soften.
To expand,
We must also surrender.
You do not bloom all the time.
And that was never the deal.
Even flowers close at night.
Even trees go quiet in the winter before they grow again.
Feel the Earth rise to meet you now,
Holding you completely.
There's nowhere else you need to be,
Nothing you need to fix.
Nothing you need to become.
You're already whole.
Settling into stillness now.
Feeling the weight of the heels.
The calves.
Backs of the thighs.
The hips,
The spine.
The shoulders.
Back of the head.
Let gravity hold you.
It's got you.
And can you notice where you're still gripping?
Maybe in the jaw.
The belly.
The hands.
The space between the eyebrows.
You don't have to force it open.
Just invite softness in and let it do the work.
A warm,
Soft light begins to wash slowly over your body now.
Gentle… Luminous… bathing the forehead.
The throat.
The chest.
The belly.
The legs and feet.
This light carries calm.
Quiet stillness.
You're resting between the grounding earth beneath you.
And the open space above.
Held by both.
At once.
Notice your breath.
Natural,
Unforced,
Steady.
You have arrived.
Bring your attention now to the center of your chest.
Your heart space.
There's a light here,
Warm,
Glowing.
Soft but steady.
Ancient.
Healing isn't about becoming someone new.
It's about remembering what has always been there.
Can you allow this light in your heart center,
This inner light to become your inner refuge.
A place inside you that stays steady beneath every season.
Untouched by performance.
Untouched by pressure.
Untouched by anyone's expectations but your own.
Rest here.
And as you do,
Can you let an intention rise?
Not from your mind.
But from somewhere deeper.
Let your body offer it up.
It could be something about trusting your timing.
About reclaiming rest.
Remembering your were.
Blooming exactly your way on exactly your time.
If you need words,
You could try,
I trust the wisdom within me.
I allow rest to nourish me.
I bloom in my own timing.
Or something else entirely.
Allowing it to rise from your body and as it does,
Repeat your intention silently three times.
Planting it in fertile ground.
And now we'll move our attention through the body.
As I name each part.
Can you imagine a gentle light landing there?
Beginning with your right hand thumb.
Index finger.
Middle finger.
Ring finger.
Little finger.
Right palm,
Back of the hand.
Rest.
Forearm.
Elbow.
Upper arm.
Shoulder.
Attention moving down to your right waist.
Thigh.
Knee.
Half.
Ankle.
Right heel.
Sole of the right foot.
Top of the foot.
Big toe.
Second toe.
Third.
24th.
And fifth Attention moving to the crown of the head.
The space between the eyebrows.
The space behind the eyes.
The right temple.
The left temple.
The nose.
The right ear.
Left ear.
.
.
Tongue.
Upper jaw.
Lower jaw.
Lips,
Chin.
Front of the throat.
Heart center.
Attention traveling down to the left thumb.
Index finger.
Middle finger.
Ring finger.
And little finger.
Left palm.
.
.
Back of the hand.
Rest.
Forearm.
Elbow.
Upper arm.
Shoulder.
Left waist.
Thigh.
Knee.
Half.
Ankle.
Heal.
Sole of the left foot.
Top of the foot.
Big toe.
Second toe.
Third.
.
.
Fourth.
Attention wandering through the back of the body.
Heels,
Calves,
Back of the thighs,
Hips.
Lower back.
Middle back.
Upper back.
Shoulder blades.
Back of the throat.
Back of the head.
Top of the head.
Front of the body.
Forehead.
Eyebrows Cheeks.
Heart center.
Upper abdomen.
Navel,
Lower abdomen.
Pelvic bowl.
Whole right leg.
Whole left leg.
Both legs together.
Whole right arm.
Whole left arm.
Both arms together.
Entire back body.
Entire front body.
Whole body awareness.
Resting in complete stillness.
Bring your attention to your natural breathing rhythm.
The inhale entering through the nostrils,
Cool,
Clean.
The exhale leaving the body warm.
Full release.
Your breath moves like a calm river through the body.
Slow streams of golden light.
With every inhale,
You receive nourishment.
With every exhale,
You release what's complete.
There's something you're ready to loosen your grip on.
A belief.
Pressure.
An expectation.
A version of yourself that you've outgrown.
Whatever it is,
Letting it go.
You don't need to force this.
Release is natural.
The trees do it every fall.
The Earth rests before every renewal.
You're allowed to do the same.
Feeling heaviness in the body now.
Dense,
Grounded.
Waded toward the earth.
Now feel lightness.
Spaciousness buoyancy.
Heavy.
.
.
And light.
Effort,
And ease.
Blooming and resting.
Life holds both.
Nature holds both.
You get to hold both too.
That's not a contradiction.
That's wholeness.
Let's imagine that you're walking through a peaceful,
Sunny Meadow.
The air is soft and cool.
The rich scent of damp earth and greenery are all around you.
A breeze moves gently through tall grass.
Above you,
The vast sky.
Open,
Clear,
Welcoming.
Flowers surround you as you walk.
Wildflowers blooming in every direction.
Not one identical to another.
Different colors.
Different shapes.
Different timing.
Every single one belongs exactly as it is.
None comparing.
None rushing.
None apologizing for how they bloom.
Take that in.
Let it land.
As you wander through the meadow,
You reach a still pool of clear water.
The sky reflected perfectly on its surface.
You sit beside it.
Quiet.
Still.
Listening.
Nature has a message for you today.
Your own inner wisdom has been waiting for enough quiet to finally be heard.
Listen.
Now a brilliant warm light pours into the crown of your head.
Gentle light flowing down.
Through the forehead.
Throat.
Heart.
Belly.
Pelvis.
Both legs,
Both feet.
Filling every part of you with calm,
Revitalizing energy.
You are not separate from nature.
You are nature.
Cyclical,
Changing.
Sacred.
Of all.
Releasing the images now.
Release the meadow.
Release the flowers.
Release the breath.
And rest here in awareness itself.
With nothing to do.
Nothing to fix.
Nothing to become.
Simply resting in being.
Both awake and deeply at rest.
Letting your awareness move through you like quiet water.
No need to follow it.
No need to interpret it.
Just receive it.
Staying here in stillness.
Spacious awareness.
Can you allow your intention to gently resurface?
And if it does,
Repeating it inwardly three times.
Planting it even deeper into the fertile soil of your subconscious.
Trust it's unfolding.
Trust your own timing.
Begin to deepen your breath now.
Noticing your body resting here.
The support beneath and around you.
The air on your skin.
The sounds in the room.
Ever so slowly bringing movement back into the fingers and toes.
You might circle your wrists,
Your ankles.
Stretch if that's what your body's asking for.
Returning in your own time.
When you feel ready,
Roll onto one side.
And pause here.
Notice what remains.
More spaciousness.
More softness.
Or maybe just the reminder,
Rest is sacred.
When you're ready,
Rising to a comfortable seat.
Perhaps placing one hand on your heart and one on your belly.
In a gesture of honor and gratitude.
Thanking yourself for showing up today.
Or honoring your body.
For honoring your cycles.
For remembering that you already carry the medicine.
May you move through your day with gentleness,
With trust,
And with the full knowing blooming was never meant to be rushed.
