Hi,
I'm Jackie Buckley and welcome to my womb meditation.
Begin by sitting comfortably with your cushions and blankets,
Put on your cosy socks,
Be warm and create an enveloping space for you to rest.
And wriggle and move and do what you need to create a comfortable position for yourself.
Once you find stillness,
Slowly nod the head,
Take your chin to chest and then tilt the head back,
Stretching out the neck.
Do this a few times,
You may hear a few clicks and crunches,
Which is perfectly normal,
We hold a lot of tension in our necks.
And now take the head slowly from side to side,
Shoulders are relaxed down,
Move with ease,
Bringing the head to neutral and take a long deep inhale,
Then exhale slowly and repeat and as you feel the breath filling the lungs,
Feel the mind clearing.
Continue slowly inhaling and slowly exhaling.
Now,
Let the breath find its natural rhythm.
Take your focus to the top of the head as we start a full body scan.
Beginning with the top of the head,
The forehead,
The brows,
The eyes,
The cheeks,
The nose,
The mouth,
The chin,
The jaw,
The neck,
The throat,
The collarbone,
The left shoulder,
Left elbow,
Left wrist,
Left hand,
The right shoulder,
The right elbow,
Right wrist,
Right hand,
Up to the chest,
The upper abdomen,
The navel,
Lower abdomen,
Pelvis,
The left hip,
The left knee,
The left ankle,
The left foot,
The right hip,
The right knee,
The right ankle,
The right foot.
And take your focus now to the breath and your abdomen rising and falling with each inhalation and exhalation.
And we bring our attention solely to the womb.
You can place your hands on your belly to solidify your connection.
Imagine being in the loving warmth of your womb.
Imagine the cocooning embrace,
The envelopment,
The stillness.
Your womb is a space of pure love and life.
All life comes from a mother's womb.
Feel the vast connection of yourself to all life.
You can visit this place anytime.
All you have to do is close your eyes and feel that warmth and love.
It is within you.
It is within us all.
This is where your power resides.
Stay here for the next few moments in this space,
In this warmth,
And I will guide you back out soon.
Listen to the sound of my voice.
Let it bring you back gently to the here and now.
Keeping your eyes closed,
Take a deep inhale and a slow exhale.
Do this two more times.
Notice the sounds around you.
Turn the head from side to side.
Begin to move your body with an easeful intention.
When you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes.
