Welcome to this grounding practice to connect with nature and ground your energy.
Settle into a comfortable,
Relaxed position.
Have one final wriggle of your shoulders,
Hips and feet.
Take a deep breath in and exhale,
Closing your eyes or keeping them open,
Gazing softly.
Allow your body to release any tension.
Relaxing the brow,
Releasing the jaw and tongue.
Spine tall and free,
Bring your awareness from your head down into your body and focusing on your heart space.
Let's start with a grounding heart breath.
Take a slow,
Gentle breath from the earth,
Drawing its energy up through your body into your heart and exhale back down through your heart into the body and out of the soles of your feet to the ground.
Take a moment to feel your own energy flowing through your body.
Notice the quality of this energy.
How it moves,
Its texture,
Its temperature.
Explore where you feel it's the strongest.
Visualise a small glowing light there,
Intuitively connecting with a colour.
This is your energy centre.
Now visualise a tendril of this colourful energy gently extending from your centre down towards the earth.
Let it reach down past your feet and see it growing into the earth itself,
Spreading into roots,
Twisting through the soil.
Take a moment to feel how solid and stable your root is in the earth.
Once you have formed a connection with the earth,
You can either allow your excess energy to flow and mingle with the earth's energy,
Dissipating,
Or you can call up some of the earth's energy to replace the energy you are missing,
Feeling it replenish you.
Know that you are connected,
Supported and at peace.
As you breathe,
Bring awareness to the elements of nature around you.
Feel the earth beneath you,
Gentle breeze brushing your skin,
The warmth of the sun above,
The cool moisture of the stream flowing next to you,
The solid trees around you.
Allow the harmony of these elements fill your being,
Reminding you that you are part of this interconnected,
Living,
Breathing world.
This meditation is now complete.
With a deep breath in,
Exhale and open your eyes.
Farewell and until next time.
