Lisa Goddard began practicing meditation in 1998 and founded the Roaring Fork Insight community in 2016. Inspired by the teachings of Zen master Suzuki Roshi and Thai forest monk Ajahn Chah, her guiding teacher is Gil Fronsdal of Insight Meditation Center in Redwood City, California. Lisa is a Certified Mindfulness Facilitator through UCLA's Semel Institute for Neuroscience & Human Behavior, and the International Mindfulness Teachers Association. She has trained at Spirit Rock Meditation Center with Jack Kornfield and other senior dharma teachers and continues her education through the Sati Center for Buddhist Studies. Lisa has served as a volunteer caregiver at Zen Hospice Project and completed Eco-Chaplaincy training. Currently, Lisa is in a two year dharma leadership training with her teacher, Gil Fronsdal. She is a farmer, mother, mountain dweller and wife.
