Cosa imparerai
Practicing gratitude everyday is essential to boost your mental well-being as it can provide you with a sense of instant happiness and optimism which can lead to increased resilience, ultimately leading to a more fulfilling and happier life. The aim of the course is to build a habit of practicing gratitude, everyday. The objective of this course is to offer you a variety of topics in which you can focus on the things that you are grateful for and in this way realise that there are more things to be grateful for than there are to complain about or be negative about. Each day of the course offers a gentle short meditation in which you can practice gratitude. You can repeat the days or the whole course and think of new elements in each topic, thus expanding the things you are grateful for and finding more things to be grateful for even when you think everything sucks and you have nothing to be grateful for, or on the days you want to deepen your gratitude. I hope this course bring you smiles and great joy. Gratitude is a feeling, a state of being and an attitude. Neuroscience research shows that practicing gratitude activates brain regions associated with positive emotions, reducing stress, and strengthening social connections, ultimately promoting well-being.
Alta, like everyone else, confronted with this merry-go-round of a life that goes up and down and sometimes throws you off, is often reminded that in order to begin again, or to accept where we are or to hold on and stay on the ride, practicing gratitude is the one place to begin. It is a step towards finding and growing acceptance of where we are...

Lezione 1
Grateful For My Bed
In this session we start with a little wisdom from neuroscience and what it says about gratitude. We settle in to start a meditation followed by the gratitude topic of the day being your bed or bedroom. We generally take our place of sleep for granted and sometimes get reminded to be grateful that we even have a bed. In this session, we can go into more detail about what we are grateful for, like our pillow/s, our sheets, the texture of the covers, the mattress, the location of the bed. In this session, you can explore what you are grateful for related to your bed or bedroom, the place where you get to sleep and recharge. And maybe tonight, you will sleep even better as your experience of it becomes deeper and stronger. Music by Goldmund
Lezione 2
Grateful For My Food
In this session we focus on the food that nourishes us and which we are grateful for. The session starts with a nugget of neuroscience wisdom followed by a short meditation. You are encouraged to think of 3 things you are grateful for regarding your food or kitchen. It could be 3 things about one piece of food, items in your fridge or kitchen that help you make amazing food that nourishes and sustains you, or it could be the farmers or restaurant or chefs you pay tribute to. Music by Cheryl B. Engelhardt
