Lezione 1
Mind, Body, Spirit, Words
In this session you will understand more about how language, neurology physiology and attitude connect through an integrated circuitry. Together they are the cocktail mix that create our mood, our sense of well -being, and our levels of success.
Through mindful attention to language patterns, you can be pleasantly surprised by how easily and quickly you can create a more positive and effective outlook and learn to stay more comfortably in the moment.
This introduction is a short input finishing with a mindful affirmations practice.
Lezione 2
Don't Think of Chocolate
The unconscious mind takes instruction from our conscious self. It cannot process a negative command without first finding a representation of the very thing we are telling ourselves not to think about. In this session, you will explore more deeply the relationship between conscious and subliminal, as a dynamic process, and you will learn how to be more clear with yourself and others to be, and achieve, as you wish.
The session is a short input, completed by a soothing meditation.
Lezione 3
Filtering our Everyday Experiences
Every day, every moment, we filter our experience at two levels. In this interactive session, you will explore the ‘how’ of your filtering practice and understand the processes that you use. You will also look at the notion of using filtering as a deliberate process to create more peace in your life.
Mindful input with participative meditation.
Lezione 4
Down to the Ground
In our previous session, we identified how we filter our experience. We delete it, by rubbing it out or burying it: we distort it, using selective memory or introducing false facts: or we generalise from it, making sweeping statements about people or activities on the back of one experience. As time passes, we sometimes discover that the way we have used our filters can lead to limitations, so it can be useful to unblock or redirect them in some way. We need to dig down, into the ground.
In this lesson, you learn how to gently shift the quality of lived experience by spotting and challenging generalisations and assumptions which may not be true. This is a spoken input with interactive exercises for you to apply the learnings to yourself.
Lezione 5
And Into the Roots
As life proceeds, we sometimes want to re- understand our past or change some of the practices and habits of our present. We might have mislaid pieces of information which could widen our choices, or we might be limiting our ways of interacting, hanging on to habits such as ‘I’ve always done it like that’.
In today’s session, you will discover how to use certain questions and probes which look at mind reading, cause and effect, and the little yet powerful word 'too'. You will explore more ways to dig down into the deep structure of thought and discover the freedom of taking more responsibility for your actions, and create flexibility in your responses to what is happening around you.
Lezione 6
The Language of Crisis, the Language of Calm
It has become common place to frequently use words that suggest extremes of response – something good is awesome, something bad is devastating. We can infect ourselves with well-being, equally through using certain words we can re-infect ourselves with drama and despair.
In this session, you will heighten your awareness of how your language impacts your state of being and learn linguistic shifts to ensure that your verbal responses give your mind and soul the best experience.
Input followed with 10 calming affirmations.
Lezione 7
Rules of the Game of Life
Somewhere in our mindset we develop a set of rules to live by. At best, these rules align to the values that are important to us and guide us to create a strong sense of our inner self and well- being.
Yet what if you experience those moments where you feel disempowered, as if you are living by someone else’s rule, not quite daring to go in the direction you want, or maybe tied down by the expectations and demands of others.
In this session, you will explore quick and powerful verbal tricks which will increase your ability to feel as if you are in your own driving seat. Interactive session.
Lezione 8
Maybe you Do, or Maybe you Don’t: Maybe you Will, or Maybe you Won’t?
Making decisions is a form of problem solving, and a way to develop new opportunities. They can have a lot riding on them.
In this session, you will consider how you choose your options when making important or difficult decisions. Sometimes an inability to make decisions can lead to or increase depression, while the ability to think wider and more creatively can make you feel much freer and lead to better results. Here we will explore how important it can be to fully consider what you want before you jump to action, using specific questions and considerations.
Short input and active meditation.
Lezione 9
If Not Now, When
You may be surprised at the impact of how we use the language of time to embed unhelpful beliefs and states into our being and hamper ourselves from moving smoothly into the future. Here you can learn how shifts in language patterns can help you to loosen the pathways of the mind, place what you want into the future, bring the future into your present, and untie some of the constraints from our pasts. Sounds interesting?
This is an interactive input with some immediate takeaways to try out for yourself.
Lezione 10
