Wise men and sages used to spend their time in the forests.
In India we call them Asha.
Which are centers of learning.
And study where they studied all forms of the arts.
Medicine and the Sciences.
They came up with seven musical sounds.
That the birds and animals made.
From which came the musical scale.
So we're going to use the scale as we use it in indie music.
So quite a sweet sound.
If you try to sing this in the English.
As in CDEF.
It's not a musical sound.
But you'll find when you hear these sounds.
Sung in the Indian musical language.
It's very musical.
So we'll do that exercise together.
We'll get Vicky first to sing the notes.
Each other's nodes have a relationship to the body's chakra system.
The frequency of those notes match the frequency of the chakra.
We can bring them into balance because everything that goes on in the body and mind is a consequence of what goes on in the chakras.
So we call this a sound meditation.
For Sound Yoga.
So we're going to demonstrate that to you.
But first we've got Vicky to sing it.
And then we'll do it together.
Starting with Sa,
Which is the bass first note.
Relates to the base chakra and I'll explain that as we go along.
Yeah.
So the notes in the Indian scale are Sa.
So if you can say it after me.
Ma.
Pa.
Da Ni Sa.
Okay so we're just going to sing up the scale um and Ron will talk us through it.
While we're just doing this as an exercise,
Practice,
Be conscious of the movement of the energy.
Of these notes as you move up the journey.
You'll feel it as you move up.
The first node relates to the base chakra.
As we're sitting here,
And I'm sitting here on the floor,
I'm actually sitting on the base.
The base chakra gives us our foundation,
Stability.
Strength.
Innocence,
Creativity,
All that comes from that.
The functioning of that base chakra.
Optimum functioning.
So let's start with that and we work our way to the top.
So we're going to sing each note three times.
Okay so just make sure you're comfortable.
And,
Uh,
And this note,
First note,
Has a joy-giving quality.
So as you're seeing that,
Just be conscious of that.
Quality of joy and happiness.
As you focus on the base.
And sing them out.
Either with us or quietly to yourself.
It's fine.
You Just be conscious of moving your energy slightly up to the second chakra between the solar plexus and the base.
Lies the second chakra.
Sanskrit name is Swadhistham.
So focus on that area.
Positive aspects of the chakra are the love of beauty and aesthetics.
If it's functioning properly,
You feel that.
The musical note is re.
This note.
Has the power of preventing thoughts too many thoughts.
Ray.
So we sing Ray together.
Buoy attention slightly up to the solar plexus area.
Called this chakra,
The Nabi chakra.
Manipur or Navi.
The musical note here is God.
God gives satisfaction.
The positive aspects of the chakra are satisfaction.
Being a satisfied person.
Responsibility.
Good family life.
These are the positive qualities of the chakra.
Mind you,
As I said,
The chakras are also.
.
.
Spinning Riesel Engine.
These musical notes also have a frequency.
But I don't want to get too technical,
But when you started at 240 cycles per second,
Which was the North Sea.
Now moved up to God.
As in Indian music.
There is a frequency that matches the chakra.
So what we're doing with this practice.
Is bringing them into balance,
Into alignment.
So let's sing the musical note,
Gah.
Focusing on the solar plexus.
You moving the tension up.
To the heart.
Heart chakra.
The musical note is Ma.
No,
Guess is that's true.
This relates to the mother.
Connection to the mother energy.
Positive qualities of love and courage.
In that chakra.
And protection so focus on the heart chakra and let's sing Ma together.
Field energy as it moves up to the call this the Vishuddhi chakra,
Throat chakra.
So here,
The musical note is PA.
Chakra that develops our personality.
And also diplomacy and discretion.
Is the ability to say the right things at the right time.
Diplomacy.
So in Indian tradition,
We have the god Krishna to be represented in the area.
Krishna was said to be the supreme diplomat.
So we construct those qualities as we sing Pa together.
You spool your head engine up for it.
Agya chakra.
So we're getting close to the top,
To the crown.
Hear the ability or the power to forgive.
Is one of the strong features of this chakra in its positive mode.
So it's the ability to forgive.
Everyone that's ever done us any wrong.
To let go.
The musical note here is the.
.
.
Da prevents.
Negativity.
So let's focus on that,
Keeping the tension on the forehead.
And we'll sing Ba together.
You Oh you moving up to the crown.
The musical note is knee.
So just focus on that area on the crown just a couple of inches above the head.
Musical note is knee and you feel the almost knocking on heaven's door And we'll finish with the octave.
So,
Repeat again.
And the wiki will just take us down down again descending down to the low saw Yeah.
Jesus.
You Amen.
