Gu means "darkness" and Ru "light", Guru is the one who, dissolving the darkness, shows us the way. In this practice, with the help of our imagination, we will create the image of our inner guru (our purest, wisest, and most compassionate being) letting it guide us toward the light. Practice inspired by the teachings of Ram Dass.

I warmly welcome you to this beautiful practice inspired by teachings of Ram Dass I hope you enjoy it So let's begin by finding a comfortable posture and closing your eyes or just relaxing your gaze If you need to do any movement that helps you to find yourself more stable and to be able to stay in this posture for the next few minutes And when you feel ready stop any movement and connect with your breath making some slow deep breaths with each exhalation letting go everything you have done today and also releasing any expectation,

Thoughts or worry about what you have to do after the practice inviting you to land fully in this moment going through your body to see if there is no unnecessary tension that can prevent the friendly development of the practice You can check your shoulders let your hands resting and relax your face If you like you can draw a light smile on your face and so adopting a very kind,

Very warm attitude to this practice letting everything calm down moving from the way of doing to the way of being and we stay here for a few moments simply enjoying the silence resting in our breath and every time your mind is distracted friendly but firmly return to your practice and to your breath and now let your imagination fly Imagine the best version of yourself as a wonderful human being like a compassionate person with a lot of empathy with a great inner strength with a lot of passion a lot of wisdom and also a very intuitive person and like everything in our imagination is possible can you imagine this version of yourself as if it were real in front of you look what is the expression on his or her face like what does he or she looks like can you imagine him or her surrounded by a beautiful light and that this light comes to you bringing you love,

Acceptance this person loves you unconditionally please just allow yourself to receive all this love and as everything is possible in our imagination imagine that he or she is getting smaller and smaller and is coming closer and closer and enters inside you and stays sitting in your heart maybe you forget from time to time that is there but he or she will continue from your heart sending you all his love,

Compassion strength from time to time he or she will grow inside you until occupy all the space and her gaze will be your gaze and his hands will be your hands and his feet will be your feet and in this state of union you are going to become him or her you are going to be like him or her kind and compassionate being and that's how other people are going to see you and that's how you are going to relate to them you and him or her will become one and there will not be a difference between you but for that we need some more practice and time so for the moment we will leave him or her in our heart knowing that in any moment we can communicate with him or her we can connect and from time to time also become her you can call her your heart,

Your soul or maybe your true being in the last minutes of practice just rest feeling him or her in your heart feeling this wonderful being that is inside yourself and to conclude with this practice let's take three breaths together inhale love,

Exhale strength inhale acceptance and peace exhale acceptance and peace and now put together your palms in the center of the chest in a gesture of Namaste remembering the meaning of Namaste from my heart my awake being greets your awake being thank you very much Namaste
