Welcome to today's meditation,

Heart Overhead.

And as always,

Find a comfortable seated position where you can sit comfortably and up straight.

Take a moment to arrive in your seat.

Make any last movements that help you to arrive here.

And whenever you're ready,

Simply close your eyes.

Take a moment to become aware of what you brought into this practice.

Notice how your body feels,

Where your thoughts want to take you.

And before we dive into this meditation,

I want you to take one deep,

Deep,

Deep,

Deep inhale into your belly,

Into your chest and then hold your breath.

And as you're holding your breath,

Make a fist with your hands,

Cringe your face muscles,

Bring as much tension into your body as possible.

Tense your arms,

Your legs,

Your butt,

Your stomach,

Your chest.

And release.

Relax your whole body as you exhale.

And I want you to imagine you're giving the whole weight of your body,

Of your thoughts,

Your worries,

Your doubts,

The future,

The past,

Everything back into the earth.

And you can imagine there's roots growing from your legs,

Your butt into the earth,

Big slimy thick roots growing into the core of Mother Earth.

And every time you inhale,

You're soaking up this nurturing,

Warm energy of Mother Earth into your whole body.

And every time you exhale,

You release any tension,

Any thoughts and worries into the earth.

And we do this together as you inhale,

You soak up the warm,

Nurturing energy into every set of your being.

And as you exhale,

You can open your mouth,

Sigh it out and imagine you're giving the weight of your mind back to the earth.

Deep inhale.

And let it go.

Three more.

Inhale.

And release.

Breathe in.

And just let it go.

One last deep inhale.

And release.

Beautiful.

Allow your breath to return to its natural rhythm,

But keep your belly soft.

Relax your belly,

Release any tension,

Especially in your lower belly.

And as deep as your roots grow into the earth,

Making you feel safe and grounded,

You have the same connection to the universe through the crown of your head.

There's a channel connecting you to the universe where you can receive any guidance,

Any insights.

I want you to imagine a white beam of light through the crown of your head connecting you to the universe.

And I want you to imagine you're breathing in any intuitive guidance from the universe into your body.

And as you exhale,

You release any fear about the future,

Any worries and doubts back to the sky.

We do this five times.

Breathe in.

And let it go.

Breathe in.

And release.

Breathe in.

And let it go.

One last time.

Breathe in.

And release.

And both connections to Mother Earth and Father Sky,

They meet in your heart space.

And I want you to bring your awareness to your heart right now.

Become aware of your own heart energy.

You can envision a green color swirling around your heart space.

The strongest magnetic field that you have.

And simply become aware of how open your heart feels right now.

If it feels safe in your body to stay open in your heart.

Or if you can feel a closure,

A compression in this heart energy field.

Without judging or naming it good or bad,

Just becoming aware of how your heart feels right now.

And I want you to feel the gratitude towards something you can really be grateful for right now.

There are so many things.

Find something that you can feel this warm sensation of gratitude inside of your heart.

Maybe it's the gratitude towards a loved one,

Towards your health,

Towards a person,

Thing,

Memory,

Situation.

And I want you to expand this feeling of gratitude beyond your physical heart,

Beyond your physical body.

Expand the sensation of gratitude wider and wider.

And then I want you to remember a situation where you listened to the wisdom of your heart,

The longing of your heart.

A situation where you chose to trust your heart and not your mind.

Maybe that was a situation where it didn't make sense at all for other people,

For your own mind even,

But you trusted your heart.

You trusted the feeling,

This longing inside your body.

And I want you to become aware of how it feels in your body,

To go back to this moment and to feel the gratitude towards your own trust.

How did it feel to trust your own heart above your head,

Your mind,

Your worries or expectations around you?

Imagine and feel the expansion of this gratitude inside of your heart even more.

It's like a bubble that surrounds your whole body right now,

This warm green feeling of gratitude.

And then I want you to imagine a situation where you had this longing,

You knew what your heart was longing for,

But you chose to trust your mind,

Your worries,

Your fears,

Everything that wants to keep you safe.

Maybe you stayed in a relationship or a friendship longer than your heart told you to.

Maybe you stayed in a job that was draining.

Maybe you said yes to something even though your body,

Your heart needed a break.

A moment where you didn't honor your heart's desires and you chose something or someone else or the thoughts of your fears and doubts are buffeted in a knowing.

And how did it turn out?

How did you feel choosing your mind over your heart?

And how did your heart respond to your decision?

How did it turn out in the end?

Or maybe you're still in it.

And that's the power of your own heart.

Your heart knows the answer,

But it's not what the mind wants to hear.

And I want you to trust your inner knowing,

Your own heart above your own mind and to train that muscle of trust by remembering all the times you already chose and trusted your heart and it turned out more magical than you could have ever imagined.

And I want you to imprint this knowing and trust inside of your body.

That it is safe for you,

That it is necessary for you,

That this is the only way of truth for you to trust your heart's desires.

To not downgrade it,

To take action towards your heart's desires and to trust your heart above anyone else and especially your own mind.

And I want you to take a moment to find gratitude towards your own heart that is always trying to guide you towards your highest expression.

And I want you to make a promise to yourself that you will trust your heart,

No matter what.

I want you to give thanks to your mind that it wants to keep you safe,

But I want you to trust and to promise yourself that your own heart knows all the answers in every single situation.

And I want you to commit to that,

Even if you fall back sometimes,

To always realign with your own heart and the wisdom of your body.

That's the only guru you ever need in your life,

Is your own intuition and heart.

Stay connected to this feeling of trust,

Openness and gratitude while you slowly come back into your body.

Feel your breath.

Bring your hands in front of your heart space in Anjali Mutta.

Take a deep inhale through your nose,

Out through the mouth and simply give thanks to your own heart,

The wisdom it carries,

The compassion,

The kindness,

The openness.

And whenever you're ready,

Stay connected to this feeling inside your heart and gently open your eyes,

Come back into the present moment,

But stay connected to the wisdom of your heart.

And know that you can choose in every single moment and reprogram your mind,

Your body to choose your heart over your head,

Because this is the only way you will live in alignment with your soul.
