Hi,
My name is Bea.
Welcome to your morning gratitude practice.
Waking up in gratitude is one of the best ways to start the day.
Living with a sense of gratitude enriches our lives and helps us to remember to be thankful for everything we have.
We live in a capitalist,
Material-driven society that pushes us to want more and more,
Which keeps us in a never-ending cycle of the pursuit of material In this pursuit to try and constantly accumulate more,
We tend to focus on the things we don't have,
Instead of being grateful for what we do have.
This kind of mindset is rooted in scarcity and lack and is the opposite of an abundance mindset.
So in order to be in alignment with the frequency of abundance,
We need to cultivate an attitude of gratitude by recognizing how abundantly blessed we already are.
So let's do a quick gratitude practice.
I invite you to find a comfortable seat and you can close your eyes if that feels safe.
Now begin to bring your awareness to your breathing.
Dropping into the present moment.
Taking time to be still.
Notice how you feel.
Take a few deep breaths,
Inhaling through the nose.
And exhaling through the nose.
Now ask yourself this question silently to yourself.
What am I grateful for?
What am I grateful for?
Let whatever comes up for you just come up without judgment.
Letting as many things you're grateful for come into your awareness.
Maybe you're grateful for the sun.
Or the blue sky or a loved one.
Or even just being thankful for waking up this morning.
For the next few moments,
Continue to list as many things as you can.
Now bring your awareness back to your breathing.
Take a deep breath in.
And exhale,
Let it go.
Now place one or both hands over your heart.
And begin to cultivate a warm feeling of gratitude.
And let the sensation slowly spread throughout your body,
Filling your entire being.
You Now repeat these affirmations to yourself or out loud.
Gratitude is the order of my day.
I'm so thankful for waking up this morning.
I'm grateful for everything good in my life.
All of my needs are met.
I have more than enough.
I have everything I need.
Everything I want is already mine.
I am so grateful.
I am so thankful.
Now take a slow,
Deep breath in.
And a slow exhale out.
As this meditation comes to an end.
Bring your awareness back into the room.
Maybe wiggle your fingers and toes.
And gently open your eyes.
Thank you so much for practicing with me.
I'm so grateful for you.
Namaste.
