Hello and welcome to this guided meditation with your future self.

My name is Tea Twyford and I am the founder of Hustle and Hush Leadership Coaching.

It's an absolute pleasure to be with you here today.

If you're not already,

Can I invite you to find somewhere incredibly comfortable to spend the next wee while.

In a moment I'm going to ask you to close down your eyes,

To soften your gaze,

But before we do that,

I would love for you to glance around the space that you're in and just confirm that you are somewhere safe.

This is a good idea for you to soften your gaze,

To close your eyes and make yourself that little bit more vulnerable in doing so.

And once you've done that,

Once you know that this is a good place and we're ready to begin,

Close your eyes and soften your gaze,

I'll encourage you now to breathe in,

Really feel the way the air enters your body effortlessly and then breathe out.

Maybe open your lips and allow the air to escape that way,

Releasing any tension.

And with each breath in and each breath out,

You can feel yourself becoming more relaxed and more at ease.

Let each inhale bring with it some calm and allow each exhale to take you deeper into a place of comfort,

Into a place of stillness.

And any sounds that you may hear around you in the outside world,

Just allow them to help you go deeper with inside yourself,

Guiding you to a place of quiet.

Let any distractions remind you of the peace that comes when you step away from the noise and the stress and the busyness of the outside world and move inward.

And as you begin to relax more deeply,

Allow yourself to soften a little bit more.

And as you begin to settle,

To soften,

To relax and to release,

Bring some awareness to the soles of your feet.

If you haven't already,

Move so that both feet are firmly placed on the ground and begin to feel the weight of your body as it gently rests on that surface beneath you.

Notice how your feet make contact with the ground below.

You can imagine that the floor or the surface that you're sitting or standing on is as solid and supportive as it possibly can be.

Really feel in to the sense of stability and calm that it offers you.

And with each breath in,

Allow yourself to sink deeper into the sensation of your feet pressing downwards as though they're being gently pulled into the earth.

And feel the energy of the ground beneath you rising up,

Connecting with the soles of your feet.

Picture this energy as a really warm and soothing current and it's moving up from the earth and entering into your body through the soles of your feet.

And as you breathe,

Allow this energy to travel up through your feet,

Into your legs and all the way up through your body.

You can feel the earth's energy supporting you here,

Steady,

Strong,

Unchanging,

Offering you a deep sense of grounding and presence.

And as you bring your awareness to the earth that's beneath you,

Imagine that you're not just connecting with the ground,

But with the intricate web of life and energy that's pulsing through all of our planet.

As you allow your awareness to travel down through these layers of the earth,

Feel how deeply rooted and interconnected you truly are.

You can feel the weight of the earth as it supports you,

This bedrock of stability and endurance.

And beneath the soil,

These roots,

They stretch deep,

Quietly reaching through the layers of the earth,

Drawing the nutrients and the strength from the ground.

You can imagine that these roots are a living,

Breathing network,

Interconnected with all of the trees and the plants in the world.

And as you connect in with this energy,

Really feel into the support that it offers you,

A steady foundation that's always here,

Always holding you steady.

You can feel the energy of the plants,

They're rooted and grounded,

Yet they're always reaching upward towards the light.

This plant energy is vibrant and alive with the pulse of growth and renewal.

Imagine that the roots of the trees and the plants below are extending to meet you,

Creating a deep and interconnected network of life.

As you breathe in next,

Really feel their energy as it flows through you,

Vibrant and full of vitality,

Helping to refresh and to nourish your spirit.

And then we go deeper now,

Right to the very center of the earth,

Where there's a powerful source of energy,

The molten core.

And you feel the energy of this core of the earth,

And it's raw and primal and deeply nurturing.

And you imagine the energy at the earth's core is this constant and ever-present force that is anchoring you here to the planet.

It's the heartbeat of our earth,

And it's vibrating with warmth and strength.

You can feel the pulsing rhythm beneath your feet,

Like a gentle hum that resonates right throughout your entire body,

Grounding you deeply into the earth.

No matter where your journey takes you here today,

Know that at all times,

This grounding,

Steadying,

Nourishing,

Nurturing energy will always be here,

Flowing upward from the earth beneath your feet,

Keeping you connected and balanced.

And as you explore inwardly,

You can always come back and feel the reassurance of the solid foundation,

The earth beneath you,

And all of its many layers,

Always supporting you,

Always holding you,

And always offering you this place to return to when you need it most.

Breathe in now,

And really let that land.

And breathe out,

And get ready to begin.

I want you to imagine that you are standing in a space of peace and stillness.

Now bring your attention to the spot on your forehead between your eyes,

And imagine that there is a light there.

You need to notice the color of the light.

Now imagine that that light between your eyes becomes a beam,

And it extends up above you,

All the way up into space.

I want you to follow that beam up,

Up,

Up.

And as you rise,

You look down,

And you see the landscape below you,

A really beautiful,

Familiar sight.

And the earth beneath you starts to recede,

And you can start to make out the contours of the land unfolding.

There's fields,

And forests,

And mountains,

And rivers,

Everything that you once knew that becomes smaller and smaller and more distant as you climb.

You might catch glimpses of cities,

And roads,

And houses,

All starting to become more and more tiny,

Almost like a map below you.

There's a real sense of freedom in this as you zoom out,

As if you are shedding the weight of the physical world and rising towards something greater.

The air grows clearer and crisper as you lift higher,

And there's a sensation of being light,

Almost weightless.

Noises of the world below begin to fade,

And it's replaced by this beautiful,

Peaceful silence,

Broken only by the soft pulse of your own heartbeat,

And the hum of the light beam as it lifts you higher.

Looking down,

The world below has become this swirling,

Beautiful mosaic of earth and clouds of oceans,

All blending together.

Those soft,

Puffy clouds float beneath you,

And you can catch a glimpse of the curve of the earth itself,

A beautiful blue marble surrounded by the infinite expanse of space.

And you notice now that there's another beam of light,

Very near to you.

It's a different colour from the one that you followed up here into space.

And you get curious,

And you begin to follow that new beam of light back down into earth.

And this beam is taking you back to earth,

Five years from now,

Five years into the future.

Keep following this beam down,

And notice the curvature of the earth and the geography as it stretches out below you.

And as you come closer to the end of this beam of light,

Keep noticing where you are.

This is where your future self lives,

Five years from now.

And you gently come into contact with the earth,

And you can feel this new ground beneath your feet,

And you start to look around and notice where you are.

In your mind's eye,

I want you to imagine that there's a dwelling or a building in front of you.

This is your future self's home.

It's a place that feels like it's been shaped by time and intention and care,

And it reflects the life that they've built and the person they've become.

Feel the energy of this space.

Take a moment to just observe the house from the outside,

Allowing yourself to take in the structure and surroundings.

What does this place tell you about the life your future self has built?

We're going to walk through some of your senses now to see what comes up.

What can you see?

I want you to really take in your details here in your imagination.

What do you notice first as you look around the space?

What do you see as you're looking at the exterior of the building?

Is it a large,

Sprawling home or a smaller,

Cozy retreat?

Perhaps it's a modern architectural design with clean lines or a charming and rustic cottage with a welcoming porch.

Notice the colors.

Are they light and airy or deep and earthy?

What kind of materials have been used in the construction of it?

Is it made of stone or brick or wood or glass?

Notice what's around it too.

Are there trees or flowers?

What kind?

Really get a sense of this place from the outside.

Listen.

What can you hear?

Is there the sound of seagulls or waves?

Is the wind blowing through the trees?

Is there a soft rustling of the leaves from the nearby trees,

The hum of nature or the distant sound of birds chirping?

Maybe you can hear the hum of city life in the background,

The murmur of people as they walk by,

The distant honk of a car,

Or the soft buzz and hum of a nearby cafe or shop.

Perhaps there's complete silence.

What do you feel?

Stand for a moment and allow the air to touch your skin.

Is it cool and crisp or warm and gentle?

Maybe there's a slight breeze or perhaps it's a calm and still day.

Is there sunshine beaming down or is it cloudy and grey?

Do you feel a sense of peace as if the air here is full of calm energy or is there a sense of vibrancy,

A hum of life as it swirls around you?

What can you smell here?

Breathe in.

Notice what scents fill your nostrils as you do so.

Maybe there's the smell of wood smoke,

The smell of rain if you're outdoors,

The smell of salty air,

Perhaps the scent of fresh flowers that are blooming nearby,

Or the earthy smell of soil and grass beneath your feet.

As you take all of this in,

I want to encourage you now to move towards the building and stand in front of the door.

Know that on the other side of that door is your future self.

They're waiting to greet you five years from now.

As the door opens,

What do you notice first?

Greet your future self and notice the way that they return your greeting,

Welcoming you into this time and place five years in the future.

Take them in,

Your future self.

What do they look like?

What energy do they carry?

How do they stand?

What are they wearing?

Imagine that they are smiling and drawing you in with a warmth and a safe energy.

Notice their expression.

There's wisdom in their eyes and a depth of experience.

And as you continue to look at them,

You feel a deep sense of curiosity and gratitude.

You're here to learn,

To receive guidance and wisdom from the person that you will become.

Now move with your future self to a comfortable place for a conversation.

Perhaps they offer you something to eat or drink.

Really settle in and make yourself comfortable here for a conversation with your future self.

You begin and you get straight to it and ask them some questions.

What is the most important lesson you've learned over the past five years?

Pause and let them answer.

Really allow the response to come clearly from your future self.

Now ask them this question.

What advice would you give me to help me to navigate the challenges I am facing now?

What can I do right now to align more deeply with my purpose and my values?

What do I need to pay attention to most right now in my life?

Really feel the energy of wisdom and calm as it flows between you both.

There's such a deep sense of knowing in this moment.

And trust that the answers you've received are here for your highest good.

Perhaps there's another message that your future self wants to share with you.

Maybe it's a word or a feeling or an image.

Trust what comes.

It's now time to thank your future self for their wisdom and guidance here today.

You may feel a deep sense of gratitude for what you've learned.

And when you're ready,

Give your future self a warm embrace.

Knowing that you can always return to them whenever you need.

As you begin to step back from them,

Know that they will remain within you,

A part of you,

Carrying their wisdom and their guidance with you in every step that you take.

And as you say goodbye and thank you,

You find your way back to the beam of light that brought you here.

And you begin your journey back up the beam.

And you watch as this world,

Five years in the future,

Grows ever smaller beneath you as you move higher and higher up into space.

And you can see once more the earth below you,

This beautiful sphere of blue and green with clouds swirling gently all around it.

And you notice that this beam of light that you're traveling within intersects with another.

And you recognize it as the one from the present moment that you journeyed up before.

And you make the transition from the future self,

Beam of light,

To your present self,

Beam of light.

And you begin to travel back down to the present moment.

And you notice now that the earth begins to grow bigger and bigger again.

And you notice the familiar geography of your area.

And as you move further down the beam,

You see the skyline and finally start to arrive back into the room where you began.

In a few moments,

I'm going to count down from three to one.

And when I reach the count of one,

You'll be refreshed and alert as if you have had a deep and restful moment pause.

And when you open your eyes,

I'm going to encourage you to remain silent for a moment and stay and just jot down a few things that you want to remember from your journey.

Let's begin the countdown.

Three.

Coming back and landing fully in this present moment,

Becoming more alert and refreshed.

Two.

Starting to stretch your body,

Move your fingers and toes,

And really feel into the ground beneath you.

And one.

Eyes open now,

Refreshed and alert.

Knowing that you can remember everything you wish of this beautiful inner journey.

And as you come back into the room,

Some reflection questions,

Either to ponder on or to write down and journal.

How was that for you?

What did your future self have to tell you?

What was the most important lesson that they've learned over the past five years?

What advice did they have for you to help you navigate the challenges that you're facing now?

What did they recommend you could do right now to align more deeply with your purpose and your values?

What do you need to pay attention to most right now in your life?

And is there anything else that was striking about this experience for you?
