Hello,
My name is Sara and I want to welcome you to this meditation for healing anxiety.
I want you to start off by getting into a comfortable position,
Whether it be cross-legged on the floor with your tailbone attached to the ground,
Sitting on a chair with your spine straight and your feet touching the ground,
Or laying comfortably on your back,
Remembering that when you meditate sometimes you do get a little bit cold,
So bringing a blanket or a pillow to put under your knees.
If you're laying down,
Just take a moment right now to get into that comfortable position.
When you are ready,
Start to take some deep inhales in and out.
Breathing in and out.
Allowing yourself to just be here and now.
Letting your arms just hang by the sides.
Breathing in and letting a big breath out.
Our bodies naturally want to be calm and relaxed,
So just let it happen.
Sometimes thinking too much or being tense and being anxious doesn't allow for us to relax.
With each breath,
You will feel more and more relaxed,
Taking you into a deep state of peace.
Take full breaths in and when you exhale,
Feel the tension loosen a little bit.
Every time you breathe in and out,
Let more and more tension go.
You may want to sigh it out again on your exhale,
Taking full breaths in and out.
Inhale deeply and when you exhale,
Observe how the knee to control subsides as you become more and more relaxed.
As you continue to breathe,
I will start saying some phrases where you can either repeat them in your head or just listen to my voice.
I've survived this before.
I'll survive now.
I'm strong and I persevere through anything.
I know that I'm not my anxiety.
I can take things one step at a time.
I live only in this moment.
I'm in charge of breathing and I can slow it down when I need to.
I'm actively taking steps to reduce my anxiety.
I cultivate patience to overcome anxiety.
I use my unique strengths to move beyond anxiety.
I know what I value and place my energy there.
Life wants what is best for me.
I am comfortable and connected with my environment.
I can find pleasure in my life right now.
I am a strong,
Independent person.
I am loved.
I am unique.
I am important.
I matter,
Therefore I am worthy.
I am relaxed.
I am calm.
I am successful.
I am free from my anxiety.
I am in control.
I am above the stress of any kind.
All is well.
I am safe.
I acknowledge when it is difficult and know I will rise above it.
Take these words with you and start to slowly become aware of where your body is connected to the ground.
Bring with you whatever resonates.
Bring with you all that you came today.
Ready to tackle the world and the challenges it may bring without getting anxious or worried.
Come back slowly.
You're becoming more alert.
Slowly open your eyes when you are ready and become aware of your surroundings.
And you're finally awake and refreshed.
Thank you for joining me in this meditation for anxiety.
Have a good one.
