Good morning.
Welcome to our morning meditation.
Today's topic is letting go.
This is a difficult topic for many of us.
We grasp and hold on to so many things.
Whether it's something we love or resentment,
Anger,
Joy.
But when we let go,
It creates the space for something new to begin and for us to continue to grow.
So let's begin by finding ourselves in a comfortable space.
Maybe you're still laying in bed.
Maybe you're sitting on a mat.
Maybe you're allowing movement by getting a walk in.
Whatever feels right for you,
Take a moment to be grateful and thankful.
Thank yourself for taking a moment of self-care.
So when you're ready,
Close your eyes or have your gaze lightly cast down.
Inhale all your breath out.
Let's inhale deeply for the count of four,
Two,
Three,
Four and exhale completely for the count of five,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five.
Two more times together.
Inhale deeply,
Feeling your chest rise and your stomach expand.
Fresh cool air going in through the nose,
Filling the lungs and as you exhale,
Let the warmer air out,
Releasing,
Letting something go.
One more time together,
Inhale deeply and exhale completely,
Feeling your body soft and releasing toxins,
Wastes.
Allow your body to breathe naturally,
Sitting upright in your chair,
Feet flat on the floor.
As always,
We focus on the breath,
Settle the body.
Hopefully the mind relaxes a little and then we listen to our heart.
So taking a moment longer just to focus on the breath,
The magical,
Wonderful elixir that allows us to move about our day,
Our vitality,
Our life source.
Realize every cell of your body being oxygenated and fueled with each breath and then knowing with each exhale,
You're releasing things that your body doesn't need anymore.
You're even burning fat.
Without even knowing it,
You're already letting go.
Your body naturally knows how to let go without you doing a single thing.
Let's honor our body's wisdom and see if we can let go in other areas of our life.
Noticing how you're feeling emotionally and physically,
Inviting ease,
A release and letting go of tension in different areas of the body.
Starting at the forehead,
Notice how this morning brings you,
If there's any tension or discomfort,
Breathe,
Energetically release this area,
Invite spaciousness.
Noticing if there's any tension in the jaw or the neck and taking that deep breath and allowing it to heal and relax this area.
Letting your mouth and jaw be loose,
Some of us grind our teeth at night.
Allow space in this area,
Freedom.
Noticing how your hands and your feet feel,
Breathing and settling,
Releasing any tension in the chest,
In the stomach,
Allowing your belly to be heavy.
Allow your body to have the weight of gravity like a gentle hug,
Gently squeezing out any toxins,
Anything that you need to let go.
Notice what your heart is telling you,
Be brave enough to listen.
What do I need to let go of?
What am I ready to let go of?
These are difficult questions.
It could be something as huge as a relationship or a job or something small like a piece of furniture or a plant or flower that needs to be moved somewhere else.
Listen to your heart,
Decide what is best for you and commit to doing one thing today to start the process of letting go.
For some of us it could be cleaning out space,
Cleaning our office,
A closet,
Letting go of things that no longer serve us.
Why are we holding on to things so desperately?
What are we afraid of?
These are deep questions.
Commend yourself for your active bravery by being courageous enough to take chances.
Breathing and settling in,
Knowing that today is as good a day as any to let something go because guess what?
When you let something go,
Something better ends up coming.
May not be tomorrow or the next day but the seeds that you plant grow into beautiful blooms.
Give yourself the gift of letting go.
Let's end our time together with three of the deepest breaths.
Inhaling everything out,
Inhaling deeply and exhaling completely,
Feeling how good it feels to let it go.
One more time,
Inhale,
Feeling peace and love and as you breathe out,
Letting go of fear,
Pain,
Whatever is holding you back.
One more time together,
Inhale and exhale.
Breathing naturally for yourself,
Finding movement in your fingers,
In your toes,
Opening your eyes,
Coming back to the day,
Knowing you are brave enough,
Strong enough to let this go,
Whatever this is.
Thank you so much for allowing me the precious gift of your time.
Until next time.
