This therapy tonic is going to nourish you.
It contains soothing words to induce relaxation combined with therapy to create a positive mindset and promote positive change.
It will renew and replenish you and you can look forward to the benefits and soothing comfort that the next 20 minutes or so will bring.
So please make sure you're in a quiet place where you're unlikely to be disturbed.
Just make yourself comfortable.
Close your eyes now and settle into a comfortable position.
Just take a deep breath in and hold it for a moment before breathing out slowly,
Just allowing your whole body to relax as you do so.
And while you're listening to the sound of my voice,
I want you to concentrate for a moment on your breathing.
Breathing slowly and steadily.
Really feel yourself breathing.
Breathe gently and easily just as if you were trying to convince someone that you're fast asleep.
And as you breathe out each time,
Know that you are releasing stress and tension.
And as you breathe in,
Know that you are soothing your nerves,
Calming your body and calming your mind.
Any stressful thoughts that rush through your mind,
Just begin to notice them slowing down as you wind down.
Slowing down and just relax.
Now as you rest quietly there,
Just listening to my voice here,
I would like you to move your attention to your body and you can begin noticing the feelings and sensations in your body.
Just noticing the sensations in your hands or in your feet or noticing the feeling of your shoulders as they touch the surface of the bed beneath you.
And you can become aware of any parts of your body that are more relaxed than others.
Perhaps your right leg is more relaxed than your left leg or your left leg is more relaxed than your right leg or perhaps they are both the same and that's okay.
All that really matters is that you're noticing how your body feels.
Later or later you will experience a deep sense of comfort and calmness.
Your mind and body will just relax all by itself.
This is your time so you can just relax and let go.
No one wanting anything,
No one needing anything and no one expecting anything.
And now turn your attention to the soles of your feet by scrunching them and letting go.
Notice the feelings in your feet and know that from this moment on all tension is beginning to drain down away from you draining down into the surface below.
Tension you don't want.
The muscles in your toes and feet beginning to soften and loosen just relaxing and letting go and slowly moving upwards now to your calves and knees.
A gentle warmth beginning to soften and loosen the muscles of your calves and knees and tension just draining away letting go.
Tension spreading upwards now to the larger muscles of the thighs.
A gentle warmth beginning to soften and loosen the muscles of your thighs and tension just draining away just letting go.
And allow that comfort to spread upwards into your pelvis and lower back.
A gentle warmth moving into the lower back at the base of the spine and gently moving upwards.
The warmth spreading upwards through the back into the front of the body.
Tension spreading into the muscles of the stomach and gut.
All the muscles beginning to soften and to loosen as those muscles let go of tension.
Tension just draining away just letting go.
And that relaxation continuing to spread upwards at its own pace up through the chest through into the back across the shoulder blades and then to the shoulders.
A gentle warmth softening and loosening the muscles of the shoulders and tension just draining down draining away just letting go.
And that relaxation spreading into your shoulders and down your arms to your elbows into your wrists and hands.
And you notice perhaps a comfortable heaviness as you sink down into further comfort and become more and more relaxed.
And just allow that comfort to continue flowing upwards into your neck and throat.
A gentle warmth moving through the neck and throat and the relaxation sinking deeply into this area and flowing upwards once again into the back of the head.
Up over the top of the head and through the hair every tiny hair follicle just soaking up the deep comfort that's spreading through the muscles of the scalp easing away any tension in the head.
And that comfort and relaxation moves into the forehead and spreads down down across the face into your eyes your cheeks your mouth your jaw letting go of any tension that resides in the face the mouth the jaw tension just draining down draining away just letting go.
And it's very positive and comforting to know that you can just leave your body resting from the top of your head to the tips of your toes and as you leave your body resting you are going deeper and deeper into relaxation and it doesn't matter whether you're resting deeply or lightly because either way you are benefiting.
Not even thinking about it your body and mind automatically just letting go.
Letting go of all the tension tension melting away draining away just letting go.
And imagine now you're standing in a garden one that symbolizes your life you're standing there noticing the trees and the flowers and the grass and perhaps hearing the birds singing as you stand there in this garden looking experiencing how it feels to be in the garden of your life.
You can feel the sun on your shoulders and the soft gentle breeze against your cheeks and perhaps the smell of the flowers just notice any shrubs bushes or other plants perhaps as a lawn that needs cutting or some flowers that need watering perhaps you can hear the birds song with the birds singing merrily but just imagine it experience it now and notice a path leading out of your garden to a place beyond and you can be really content here in the garden of your life.
But first I'd like you to look around and notice that here in the garden of your life there are some dried crumpled shriveled leaves I've been there for some time some are brown some are yellow some are red they're all different colors and in some places the leaves cover the ground thickly whereas in other places there are few.
Take a moment now to look at those dry shriveled up leaves perhaps you haven't noticed them before but they are symbolic of all the hurts and frustrations from your life those dried up shriveled leaves they symbolize negativity from your past and present events you'd rather forget and wish had never happened those shriveled up leaves symbolize uncomfortable feelings that are difficult to acknowledge and difficult to accept those leaves symbolize all the frustrations and disappointments from your life all the resentments all the regrets all the guilt so much negativity is symbolized here in the garden of your life those shriveled leaves represent negative feelings you've been holding on to negative feelings that just don't serve you now perhaps feelings of inferiority or inadequacy perhaps feelings of worthlessness weakness or powerlessness feelings of not being good enough perhaps negative thoughts telling you that you are unlovable and important or useless negative statements from your past and from your present directed at you by others or directed at you by you those negative comments at first just a harmless way of pointing out your perceived weaknesses but then becoming a form of self-sabotage self-loathing and self-deprecation and how about any sadness any guilt any anger all those uncomfortable feelings are here in the garden of your life ask yourself now do they serve me does this negativity serve me ask yourself is it necessary to hold on to it take a moment now to contemplate this the past is the past it can't be changed and you can't go back you are stronger because of it like a tree you have weathered the wind the rain and the storms and you're still there firmly anchored and ready to blossom when the season changes and the conditions are right here now in the garden of your life I'd like you to find a rake and begin to tidy up your garden each leaf represents people events feelings you'd rather forget but just acknowledge them as you begin to rake them into a pile gather the leaves to make your garden tidier it's okay to reorganize it make it tidy so there's room for change perhaps new growth if you're willing you can see the areas that need tidied gather those leaves and everything they represent and notice how small or how large the pile is becoming you gather them together knowing that you're going to be rid of them pile them high rake them in be patient as you ensure each shriveled leaf is added to your pile now in the garden of your life there is a bin in which you can place all of those leaves it's a large bin with a lid one that allows the option of setting fire to the contents an incinerator it is your choice whether you let the leaves decompose over time or you incinerate them now I wonder which option you will choose so go ahead tidy them now into your bin and when you finish you will feel lighter and you will breathe a sigh of relief as you release all those negative influences from your past all those self-defeating beliefs self-sabotaging behaviors all those things that were holding you back are gone you are free to progress to move on to achieve the goals that you have set for yourself you are free as you move into the next chapter of your life a moment of silence starts now take a deep breath enjoy the sun on your face and shoulders smell the breeze this is your beautiful garden and you can make it exactly how you wish to be with the right conditions you can cultivate whatever you want you can be really happy here in the garden of your life so imagine for a moment you take a handful of special seeds and you plant them lovingly in an area of your garden where you instinctively know they are needed plant them in the warm earth in a sunny position sprinkle them with water and wait patiently for them to grow with these new conditions they will grow and flourish all on their own just take a moment notice your beautiful garden it is tidy and the seeds have been planted they have the right conditions to grow and flourish all on their own every day in every way you are moving forward and calmness and confidence is growing within you be patient remember when bad weather comes the Sun always follows the rain
