Welcome to this brand new day.

I invite you now to take a moment this morning to acknowledge the gift of this new day.

Take a deep breath in and imagine the air permeating every cell of your being and then when you're ready just release the air and let it go.

Repeat for a few breaths,

Really breathing deeply in up through your nose and then breathing out through your mouth as if this is your first time on earth and you're sampling the quality of the air.

That's right just deeply breathing in that lovely air,

Sampling it and then just letting it go.

When you're ready just settle into your normal breathing pattern and I wonder what great things will happen for you today.

New hopes,

New opportunities,

New dreams.

This day lies in front of you awaiting your company and you can choose to take your whole self or just a part.

You can choose to be fully present or not.

You have been given this day a gift that's yours to unwrap.

In this moment,

The present,

Time is your companion.

What you do with this day is what matters most because it's here right now.

A blank canvas,

A path untrodden.

Are you ready to move into it?

You can choose to look at the beauty of the vast sky and notice the shape of the clouds.

You can choose to smell the fresh breeze and breathe deeply into your soul.

You can choose to touch the leaves of a tree or the petals of a flower.

You can choose to really listen and not worry about your responses.

You can choose to notice the taste of fresh water and hope that your thirst will always be quenched.

And you can choose to move through this day without noticing anything at all and just call it another day.

Take a moment now to decide how you will use this day.

It has been gifted to you and it wasn't guaranteed.
