Hello everybody and welcome to today's meditation.
My name is Heather and I'm so grateful to be able to spend this time with you.
Right off the bat.
I invite you to find a comfortable seat.
Remember the what was comfortable today?
Probably wasn't comfortable yesterday.
Find a spot where your body feels grounded,
Where it feels relaxed.
And safe.
I invite you also to set an intention.
Around the word faith.
What does faith look like to you?
Faith unlocks divine potential.
It enables individuals to overcome obstacles,
Endure trials.
Act with courage.
It is literally a foundation for hope.
Enjoy!
Faith is associated with God,
Or a belief in a higher power.
It is a powerful way of incorporating spirituality into our lives.
Have you ever considered?
Having faith in yourself.
What does that look like?
What if faith was linked with confidence?
When we allow ourselves to think we can.
Then we can.
When we exercise faith in ourselves,
We contribute to our overall confidence and well-being.
We feel empowered.
To do anything and everything.
Having faith in God or a higher power or a larger being helps us to foster faith within ourselves.
Having a belief system provides our hearts and our minds with coping skills,
Skills that foster resilience.
Resilience helps us find meaning.
In trials and maintain optimism.
Throughout challenges.
Faith helps us find meaning.
Faith is exercised through practices such as prayer,
Meditation,
And rituals that help us reduce anxiety.
Promote calmness.
And regulate our emotions.
Faith does all of this for us.
Choosing the half face.
Opens doors to a piece.
That we may not be able to find on our own.
Faith brings peace.
Brings confidence.
It's such a simple word.
A beautiful word.
It invites so many other powerful traits and aspects into our lives.
So as we settle into our session.
And get ready for meditation.
I invite you to think about faith.
So let's let our hands fall naturally by our side.
Maybe you want them in your lap.
Let's let go of any tension or tightness.
Settle into this moment.
And confidence in knowing.
That you have chosen this time.
For yourself.
This is valuable time.
This can be healing time.
So as you settle in,
Take a few deep breaths.
Breathe deep into your belly.
And out.
And out.
Exhale long and slow.
Let go of everything.
Let go of the day so far.
Relax your shoulders.
Your hands,
Your feet.
Smile,
Relax the muscles in your face.
As thoughts enter your mind,
Allow them to drift away.
Respect them.
Honor them.
Let them go.
As this is not time for them.
If you haven't already,
I invite you now to close your eyes.
In this relaxed and peaceful state.
Imagine standing in the middle of a forest.
There are trees surrounding you.
Tall trees.
A strong trunk.
And green leafy tops.
You notice moss on the trunks of trees.
You see trees that have fallen.
Large limbs and branches all around.
You see giant rocks that carry the same moss cover.
Ferns and other green plants dot the landscape.
You can see the sunshine breaking through.
Shining on the ground around you.
The sun brings warmth in this shady heaven.
You hear birds all around.
Maybe some squirrels or other animals running and playing.
You start walking down a small dirt path.
You notice how the ground fills beneath your feet.
Hear the crunching of fallen,
Decaying leaves.
Hear the snap of a twig now and then.
A slight breeze blows through.
Hear the rustle of the leaves overhead.
You feel the slight wind on your arms and your face.
You pause to look around.
You see some wildflowers growing in the long grass.
Colors seem vibrant against the green backdrop of the forest.
You take a deep breath.
Feeling grateful for being here in this moment.
Breathe in.
Hold.
Exhale.
Do you hold faith this moment?
Is for you.
You feel confident in continuing your journey.
Enjoy the sensations that come from this moment.
Imagine the sun on your skin.
The humidity in the air.
You notice a grassy area not far ahead that looks inviting.
You see a little more sunshine peeking through in this area.
You walk to it and decide to rest for a minute.
As you sit or lay down.
You choose to be completely immersed in your surroundings.
Sunshine feels warm on your skin.
The breeze feels gentle.
The grass feels cool and welcoming.
A feeling settles over you.
This feeling is more than you.
You are part of a bigger picture.
You have an important role to play.
You feel deeply that you are capable of doing what is needed.
You feel empowered.
So motivated.
You notice a small box hidden in the grass near you.
You were drawn to this box.
You know that whatever is inside of this box is a gift specifically meant for you.
You wonder if it could really be for you.
You aren't sure what could be inside.
But you know.
That it is worth having.
You open it up.
There's nothing inside.
That you noticed that you were flooded with a feeling.
This feeling of faith.
You aren't sure what it means.
But you know that it feels right.
It feels good.
It feels home.
This feeling has seeded inside of you.
You notice a change taking place.
It's not clear what change is happening.
But you know that everything is different now.
Everything has seemed to change.
You feel more confident.
You feel capable and able.
Any doubt you may have had is no longer there.
You feel seen.
You feel heard.
You feel loved.
You decide to relish in this feeling.
And take a moment to embrace how this makes you feel.
You close your eyes again.
You take another deep breath.
In through your nose.
Gently out through your mouth.
The sun feels so warm on your skin.
You lift your face up to the sky to soak in the protective feeling that is surrounding you.
You smile.
Life is good.
This moment is good.
Take this moment to say something empowering to yourself.
What would you say?
I invite you to say it now.
Embrace the words you say and the words you hear.
Maybe it's something you may have been longing to hear.
As you open your eyes.
A butterfly comes by.
You marvel at its beautiful orange wings.
Everything feels right in this moment.
You decide it's time to go.
You get up and begin moving down the forest path.
This idea of faith.
Is now a part of you.
You ponder on what that means.
What feels different?
What do you feel capable of?
How do you know that it has a place inside you?
How will you let it manifest?
As you end this journey,
We feel excited for something you now know so deeply.
As we come back into our bodies.
Into our minds.
Take some deep breaths.
In.
And out.
Smile as you bring and out.
Wiggle your toes.
Wiggle your fingers.
Roll your shoulders.
Rock your head from side to side.
Slowly and gently.
Open your eyes.
Encourage you.
Take this idea of faith and learn about it.
Ponder on it.
Consider how you can activate this attribute in your daily life.
What does it look like for you?
To make faith an important part of you.
From this moment on.
