Welcome to our guided meditation to release our anxiety and tension.
Please make yourself comfortable in any position and close your eyes as we begin this session.
We will begin by taking a few deep breaths in through our nose and out through our mouth to relax our body and mind.
Take a deep breath in,
Hold,
And release.
Relaxing your body with each breath.
Take another deep breath in,
Hold,
And release.
Take another deep breath in,
Hold,
And release.
Taking deep breaths can slow our heart rate and decrease the anxiety we might be experiencing in the moment.
Whenever discomfort surfaces,
We can always default back to our breath.
And now that we've brought ourselves to a more relaxed state,
I want you to explore the feelings in your body.
What areas are you feeling stress and tension?
Your shoulders.
Your hips.
Your neck.
Your back.
Simply observe every area of your body and bring your attention to one specific area of discomfort.
Now that you're aware of this space,
Let's allow the sound waves to pulse through it with a few more breaths.
After you take a deep breath in through your nose,
Feel this tense area expand and hold your breath for a few seconds.
As you're holding your breath,
Imagine that the oxygen you've brought in has allowed the muscles in your tension area to expand.
And as you release,
The sound waves will have the opportunity to weave through your muscle tissue,
Easing the discomfort in that area.
Let's focus on that spot and take a deep breath in.
Hold.
Two.
Three.
And release.
Allowing the vibrations to pulse their way through your tension.
Keep your focus on this specific spot and take another deep breath in.
Hold.
Two.
Three.
Four.
And release.
Allowing the vibrations to pulse their way through your tension.
One more deep breath in.
Hold.
Two.
Three.
Four.
And release.
Allowing the vibrations to pulse their way through your tension.
Now just bask for a moment.
Observe any changes in the feelings of that area.
Does it feel a bit softer?
More relaxed?
As the tensions seem to subside.
The power to release the discomfort we hold lies with your breath and your intentions,
As the sounds work with both.
Now let's focus on another area of stress and tension.
Or if you still feel tension in your first spot,
You can focus on that area again.
Bring your awareness to this area of discomfort and we will repeat the process.
Take a deep breath in.
Hold.
Two.
Three.
Four.
And release.
Each release allows the vibrations to pulse their way through your tension.
And vibrate their way through your muscles.
Deep breath in.
Hold.
Two.
Three.
Four.
And release.
Each time your body expands from your breath,
Your muscles expand.
And when you exhale,
They deflate,
Creating space for healing to take place.
And one more deep breath in.
Two.
Three.
Four.
And release.
Each time your body expands from your breath,
Your muscles expand.
And when you exhale,
They deflate,
Creating space for healing to take place.
And one more deep breath in.
Two.
Three.
Four.
And release.
Each release allows the vibrations to pulse their way through your tension.
Now really observe this area that we just focused on.
Feel how the tension has softened.
Feel how your body has softened.
Your mind is more relaxed and the stress is melting from your muscle tissue.
When your muscles have oxygen,
They can function more efficiently and the tension they carry is decreased.
And the ability to release these areas always lies within you.
Increasing your awareness to areas of discomfort allows you to consciously release that discomfort.
And when you include breath,
You're able to fill those spaces with oxygen,
Enabling the tension to release.
And as you exhale,
The space is created and the tension decreases.
These tools can also be used with stress and anxiety.
When we feel our emotions running wild or our thoughts running a million miles per hour,
The simple process of taking deep breaths can bring us back to the present and help us to find our peace.
I thank you so much for taking this time for yourself to process your anxiety and tension.
When we process what is within us,
Naturally we heal.
You may continue to listen and can repeat these steps on your own as you work through anything else you need to during this time.
The rest of this sound bath is yours to explore on your own.
Thank you so much for taking this time for yourself.
When we heal ourselves,
We heal the world.
Thank you.
