Hello from Headlines,

This is a five minute practice session and we start in the normal way of sitting in a chair with our back erect,

Our head held upon our shoulders and our feet on the ground.

So just allowing your eyes to close and just reconnecting with our inner world through feeling our body sitting in the chair just as it is now noticing the breathing,

Shallow,

Deep and quietly listening to all the sounds in the room and allow your awareness to hear all the sounds outside of the room in the street if there is one beyond the street the hum of the city if you're in one and then the silence that lies behind all sound as you rest just follow your breath breathing in and breathing out for the next couple of minutes gently with the eyes closed relaxing in the out breath your shoulders any tension that you find just being with yourself noticing the thoughts,

Our thoughts allowing them just to pass like a cloud in the sky without comment every time you lose the thread this simple thread and go off on a trip somewhere just gently bring our awareness back to the breath just accepting all of the sounds letting tomorrow take care of itself just simply resting here in the present moment and now very gently allowing the images to fade if you have any feeding your feet on the ground give them a little wriggle and your hands and your breath returning to its normal rhythm and very gently just fluttering open your eyelids unfocused and slowly coming into focus ready to get on with your day well thank you very much for joining us in this five minute meditation session which I hope you'll find time for in the morning and or in the evening daily
