Welcome,
Beautiful heart.
Back to another guided meditation and journey,
Here with your host,
Harrison.
Today's intention is releasing perfectionism.
A 10-minute guided meditation to let go of pressure and embrace your beautiful humanity.
Let us begin.
Close your eyes,
When you're ready.
And taking a moment to settle into your comfortable position.
Allowing your eyes to get heavy.
And with me taking our first breath together,
Breathing in.
Allowing your beautiful breath to settle into a natural rhythm.
And acknowledging why you are here.
Perhaps you are spending a lot of your life trying to get things done.
Trying to say the right things,
Trying to make the right decision,
Trying to be the right version of yourself in this world.
Trying not to make any mistakes,
Trying not to disappoint any people.
And maybe all of this has helped you succeed.
But it may also.
I've left you here.
Tight.
Because no matter how much you accomplish,
You're always asking yourself for more.
Today I invite you,
With me holding you,
With me loving on you.
That we can step out of this race.
We can step out into something bigger.
Let us breathe in.
Bringing awareness to your body.
Bringing awareness to the areas that are holding this perfectionism pressure.
Perhaps the top of your head.
Perhaps around your neck,
Your jaw,
Your chest.
Perhaps in your lower back,
Your shoulder blades.
Maybe in your hips.
Imagine.
All of these.
Precious,
All these expectations you've been carrying,
The standards,
The self-criticism,
The invisible deadlines to get everything right.
Imagine bringing all of them together from different parts of your body and holding them in your hands.
Feel the way.
As you feel the weight,
Let us take a deep breath into this space.
And out.
And as we breathe again on the exhale,
I invite you to release this weight.
Breathing in and out.
And out releasing.
Going again,
Remembering the exhale as your permission to rest the pressure.
Breathing in.
And out,
Resting the pressure.
Letting your body feel what it's like to not try so hard.
Letting your system start to open.
As we now get to.
.
.
Meet in this space that we have created.
A part of you that is always wanting more.
Inner perfectionist.
The part of you that says,
You should be further ahead.
You should have done better.
You should know more.
Notice this part.
But in your noticing,
Observe,
Not as your enemy.
Observe with compassion and love.
From the part of you that.
.
.
Is born from the desire to stay safe.
Be accepted,
To avoid praying,
To avoid the criticism that could leave you alone.
So with this part and the love that we intend to share,
Let us breathe into it.
One more,
Breathing in love to this part.
Repeating after me.
Thank you.
For caring for me.
Thank you for looking out for me.
Thank you for trying so hard to keep me safe.
And allowing your inner perfectionist to soften.
Aloha again.
Hear and feel your love.
Ask me now.
To imagine in this space of love.
From this heart.
Is so beautifully imperfect.
Seeing now in our open and clear hands a beautiful handmade ball.
This ball is not perfectly smooth.
This ball has small cracks.
Imperfections.
Marking what it has been through,
Marking its journey.
And yet every perfection and imperfection.
Makes it unique,
Makes it special.
Beautiful.
So as you see and feel this cracked ball in your hand,
See beautiful golden light filling the ball,
Shining through every inch.
Every uneven edge,
Every place that is not perfect.
With me now,
Breathing in this light into your heart.
Breathing in.
And Showing again,
Breathing this light into your heart.
Feeling this.
Freedom of being.
Human.
You were never meant to become perfect.
Were never meant to perform your way into worthiness.
You amen.
To be fully and wholly free.
Which includes all of your humanness.
With softness and ease,
Taking one more breath at your own pace.
And then when you're ready,
Coming back into your room,
Into your body.
And with so much harmony,
Opening your eyes.
And stepping out into the world.
As the fully human imperfect gift that you always were.
