Thank you for joining me for this guided meditation.
To begin this meditation,
Find a comfortable seated position.
Take a moment to settle into your seat.
Once you have your seat,
Take a deep,
Deep inhale,
And a deep,
Deep exhale,
And then one more.
Relax down through your sits bones as you inhale your heart up,
And let your shoulders melt down away from your ears as you exhale.
Take a natural inhale,
And let your eyelids drop down across your eyes as you exhale.
Let your breath settle into its natural,
Even tempo,
The duration of your effortless inhales matching the duration of your effortless exhales.
Take a moment to just listen.
Become aware of sound.
As you listen,
Feel the contours of your ears.
Feel the space that surrounds your body,
Curving all around your body.
Feel how your body rests within the space that surrounds it.
Notice the sensation of air and cloth in contact with your skin.
Now,
Pull your awareness through your skin into your body.
Feel your muscles.
Feel the strength of your body.
Notice the buzz of your nervous system,
The rush of your circulatory system.
Pull your awareness even deeper into your body.
Feel your organs.
Feel how your body is resting on your skeleton,
How your skeleton supports the integrity of your body.
Feel the energy that moves through your body.
Notice where the energy in your body is very vibrant,
Moving very freely,
And where the energy feels still or quiet.
Take note of the thoughts that have been occupying your mind as of late.
Any thought that comes to mind.
Notice the feelings associated with those thoughts and just look at them from a distance as if they were being projected on a movie screen.
Take note of your sense of perception,
Your ability to see things and understand what you see.
Notice your ability to distinguish one thing from another.
Notice the level of joy that you're feeling in this place at this time simply by virtue of being,
Irrespective of any external condition in your life.
Notice the distinction between all that you can observe and yourself,
The observer.
Notice how your awareness is different from all that you are aware of.
Bring your awareness to the tip of your nose.
Just notice the sensation of air moving at the tip of your nose.
On your next effortless inhale,
Follow your breath into your body.
Follow your breath down to the center of your chest and open the door to your heart center.
Look inside your heart center and see a beautiful blossoming lotus flower opening up in your heart center.
As the lotus flower opens,
You see your inner self,
The form of your pure consciousness seated within the petals of the lotus.
Merge your consciousness into the spiritual form of your inner self.
Feel yourself seated in the whorl of the lotus.
Now bring your awareness into the spiritual heart of your inner self and see another lotus flower opening up into full bloom within your spiritual heart.
As the petals open,
You see the Supreme Self who resides within your spiritual heart standing in the center of the lotus.
Notice the charming appearance of the Supreme Self,
The serene countenance that gladdens your eyes and soothes your soul.
Notice how the Lord of the heart is eternally youthful,
Very beautiful,
And always eager to bestow blessings upon you.
The Supreme Self within your heart is your ultimate source of inspiration,
Guidance,
And protection.
Your eternal friend and ever-well-wisher set an intention to deepen your connection to your eternal friend.
Confirm your strong connection to the Supreme Self within your innermost heart by silently saying to yourself,
The Supreme Lord of all creation is residing within my heart.
I am eternally guided and eternally protected by the wisdom and power of my eternal friend.
I am the grateful recipient of the Supreme Self's limitless love for me.
As your inner heart radiates with love,
You feel your inner self begin to rise on a wave of divine energy.
As you rise,
You feel your connection to the Lord of the heart deepen.
You feel your confidence and sense of connection to the world expand,
Blossoming out from within you like a beautiful lotus flower.
Feel the lotus flower of your inner awareness expanding out in all directions.
Feel your spiritual form radiating within your physical body,
Spreading rays of light in every direction.
Feel your sense of perception become illuminated by your pure spiritual consciousness.
Feel your consciousness reconnect to your thoughts and your emotions.
Feel your consciousness reconnect to the energy that flows through your body.
Feel the senses of your physical body begin to awaken one by one.
Feel your ears as your sense of hearing reawakens.
Feel the contours of your ears as you hear the sounds around you.
Feel your skin as your sense of touch reawakens.
Notice the sensation of air and cloth in contact with your body.
Feel your eyes and your eyelids.
Become aware of light as your sense of sight reawakens.
Bring your awareness to your tongue and the moisture in your mouth as your sense of taste reawakens.
Bring your awareness to your nostrils and the inner walls of your nose as your sense of smell reawakens.
Breathing deeply into your heart and chest,
Belly and abdomen,
Breathing in and out through your arms and legs,
Fingers and toes,
Your neck and your head.
Feel all of the senses of your body awaken at once and take just a moment here to be still and watch your body as it sits and breathes.
Take one more deep,
Deep inhale and a deep,
Deep exhale and on your next inhale gently open your eyes.
