Are you exhausted from trying to control everything? In this 5-minute guided meditation, gently release what you were never meant to carry. Grounded in 1 Peter 5:7, Matthew 11:28, and Psalm 46:10, this practice invites you to open your tightly clenched hands and surrender your burdens, your worries, and your need to fix everything to the One who says, "I've got this." Accompanied by calming nature sounds and acoustic guitar, learn to lay down control and pick up peace as you trust in God's faithful timing and perfect plan. Scripture References: 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV) - "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." Matthew 11:28 (NIV) - "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Psalm 46:10 (NIV) - "Be still, and know that I am God." Music: Helkimer from Pixabay

Welcome,

Friends.

My name is Grace.

Thank you for joining me in our practice of Surrender and Trust in God's Plan.

Let's begin today's meditation practice.

Let's take a moment to be still.

Breathe in slowly,

And out.

In this moment,

You don't have to fix anything.

You don't have to solve anything.

You can simply be.

1 Peter 5-7 says,

Cast all your anxiety on him,

Because he cares for you.

Today,

I want to invite you to do just that.

To release what you have been carrying that was never yours to hold.

Bring to mind something you've been trying to control.

Maybe it's a relationship,

A situation at work,

Someone else's choices,

The future,

Your past.

Now picture yourself holding it in your hands,

Gripping it tightly.

Now hear these words.

Let it go.

I've got this.

Take a deep breath,

And as you exhale,

Imagine opening your hands and releasing it to God.

Let's affirm this together.

I release what I cannot control.

I trust that God is working,

Even when I cannot see it.

I am not responsible for outcomes,

Only for my obedience and my peace.

I surrender my need to fix everything and everyone.

God's timing is not my timing,

And that is okay.

I can rest in the knowledge that he is faithful.

In Matthew 11-28,

Jesus said,

Come to me,

All who are weary and burdened,

And I will give you rest.

What burden are you carrying today that he is inviting you to lay down?

Name it quietly in your heart.

And now,

Release it with this affirmation.

I lay down my burden,

I pick up peace.

I lay down my worry,

I pick up trust.

I lay down control,

I pick up surrender.

Psalm 46 reminds us to be still and know that he is God.

You don't have to have it all figured out.

You don't have to manage every detail.

You can be still,

You can rest,

You can trust.

Breathe in his presence,

Breathe out your striving.

I release control,

I receive peace.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes and move forward lighter than before.

Thank you for joining me today,

And I'll see you at our next practice.
