Good morning.
Before you reach for the day,
Your phone,
Your plans,
Your responsibilities,
Or even the person you think you need to be today.
Stay here.
Let your hands rest wherever they feel natural.
Maybe over your chest.
Maybe your belly.
Feel the warmth beneath your palms.
Feel the body expand as you breathe in.
And soften as you breathe out.
Nothing to figure out.
Nowhere else to get to.
Just this moment.
This breath.
Just you being here.
Imagine the day like a letter waiting to be opened.
A letter that arrived quietly while you slept.
And now as morning begins,
It waits for you.
And open.
You don't know every word yet.
You don't know the conversations you'll have,
The places you'll go,
The unexpected turns,
The laughter,
The challenges.
You don't know everything written inside.
And that's okay.
Perhaps you were never meant to know the entire letter before living it.
Perhaps her only imitation.
Is to open it.
Take one breath,
As the greeting.
And exhale.
Once more,
Inhale.
Good morning.
Exhale,
I'm here.
And be here.
Right now.
Notice what the body says back.
Maybe there's a softening behind the ribs.
Maybe your shoulders lower.
Maybe you feel warmth and ache,
A little resistance,
An answer and sensation rather than words.
You don't have to change any of it,
Just listen.
And let the day know that you are arriving.
Not rushing.
Not pushing.
Arriving.
You are allowed to meet your life before you begin managing it.
Imagine slowly unfolding the letter.
And perhaps the first few lines read It's okay to not be ready for everything today.
It's okay to not know what today will bring.
You don't need to know how this day ends to be present as it begins.
Let that settle.
Because there may be parts of today you would choose and perhaps parts you wouldn't.
There may be things you can control.
And many things you cannot.
But right here at the beginning,
You get to choose how you meet it.
So ask yourself.
How do I want to meet my life today?
Not what do I need to accomplish.
But how do I want to be here while it is happening?
Maybe with steadiness.
With trust.
With appreciation.
Whisper quietly to yourself.
May I meet today with steadiness.
Breathe.
May I meet today with trust.
Breathe.
May I meet today with appreciation.
Breathe.
And if meeting an entire day feels too big,
Don't.
Just meet this breath.
And then meet the next one.
Perhaps this is how life has always asked to be lived.
Not all at once,
But line by line,
Breath by breath,
Moment by moment.
Feel your hand over your heart again.
Notice the quiet pulse beneath it.
Your heart doesn't need to know what today will bring before taking the next beat.
It simply beats.
Receives Releases and begins again.
Maybe there's something to learn from that.
You don't need every answer.
You don't need to read ahead.
You only need enough presence to experience the line that is in front of you.
Take a deeper breath in and as you inhale,
Open yourself gently to this day.
Not demanding that it be perfect.
Not demanding that you be perfect within it.
Just opening,
Breathing.
Breathe in,
I am open to what this day may hold.
Breathe out,
I am grounded as I meet it.
One last time,
Breathe in,
Good morning.
Breathe out.
I'm here.
Today is not something you have to conquer.
It is something you get to experience.
A letter you will read with your own breath,
Your own body,
Your own presence.
Some lines may ask you to move.
Some may ask you to wait.
Some may only make sense later.
You don't have to read them yet.
For now.
Receive the greetings.
Received this morning.
Receive this breath.
And may you meet today with steadiness.
May you meet the unknown with trust.
May you meet the ordinary with appreciation.
And whenever the day begins moving faster than you can hold,
Come back to the simplest sentence.
In this breath.
In this moment,
I am here.
Take one more full breath in.
And when you're ready,
Carry this soft hello into the first small thing you will do.
Good morning.
Your letter is waiting.
