My name is Beau,
Thanks for joining me.
Let's practice some relaxation during this meditation.
To begin with,
Find a comfortable seated position,
Or maybe lay down.
Just a spot,
A place where you can feel supported.
Whichever position you choose,
Try and find a long spine.
As we begin,
Just start by connecting to your breath,
Bringing a softness to your belly as it receives your breath on the inhale.
Just softly allowing your breath to leave on the exhale.
We habitually carry a lot of tension in our bodies,
And that's okay,
It's part of how we've learned to respond to stress in our lives.
And one of the ways we can learn to let go of this tension is to bring some awareness to it,
Just by slowing down and being some presence to our bodily experience.
A lot of us hold tension in our shoulders,
See if you can just relax them down.
Some of us hold it in our lower back.
Can you feel grounded,
Rooted in this moment?
Check in with our hips,
Can we let go some more?
Be open to the sensations in your body,
Look for those places where maybe you're just holding on a little bit.
Just breathe into those places and let go.
To be relaxed is to be grounded and present here in this moment.
It's to know that here and now,
You are safe.
Thank you for joining me,
Enjoy the rest of your day.
