Welcome to Life,
Lessons & Laughter with your host,
Glenn Ambrose.
Hey,
Everybody.
Yeah.
Does it feel like this?
I'm getting some flash of a Little River Band song from back in the day.
So hello,
Everyone.
Here we are.
So today we're talking about being the example,
Be the change you wish to see in the world,
Be the example,
Et cetera,
Et cetera.
You know,
The the spiritual shift is has picked up speed.
I've talked a lot about it over the years and,
You know,
And recently that it's wow,
Holy crap.
It's like it's here now.
It's actually happening.
Yeah,
That might be another podcast.
Um,
I'll let's just suffice to say that.
There's some big changes happening like now,
Like October of 2026.
There's some big changes coming.
And from what I've seen,
Heard that resonates with me from a lot of different types of sources.
Like it seems that there's a good chance that like everything's going to be changing.
In the next year,
Year and a half or so.
So,
Um,
Hey,
Let's keep our fingers crossed,
But,
Um,
So yeah,
I'm not going to go into that too much,
But.
It's just bringing to the surface.
Where,
Like where we are in the spiritual path.
And it's a,
You know,
It's like every part of it is beautiful.
Right.
And,
And like,
Because it serves a purpose and You know,
That's tough to remember sometimes But like,
You know,
I've given examples in the past and stuff.
I think yoga is a good example Like,
You know yoga is extremely watered down now in most places,
You know like developed countries You know United States Europe stuff like this It's it's extremely watered down and there's not a lot of spirituality in it It's it's more of an exercise class,
You know,
Which which is,
You know,
And a lot of people on the spiritual path thinks that this is horrible.
And it's like,
Right.
It is what it is.
But it serves a purpose because it exposes so many people.
Like,
I would venture to say yoga has exposed more people to beginning spirituality than anything else on the planet.
I don't know that that's true.
Just kind of saying maybe because like you go through an exercise class,
You burn off this surface.
Nervous energy,
You're doing something good for yourself,
Which this is all energetic.
You know,
Think of the energy that I'm saying behind this.
You're doing something good for yourself.
That's an energy.
You're burning off nervous stress energy through exercise,
Right?
And then after you do something good for yourself,
They have you lay down and experience Shavasana,
Which is stillness after you just burned off all the excess nervous energy.
So like,
You know,
You know,
And some people have varying experiences in Shavasana,
But it at least gives you an opportunity where your body is fatigued to just Be still and not have to be anywhere else or think of anything else and people you know,
Experience true relaxation and peace in that short period of Shavasana,
Where they probably haven't experienced that for 30 years.
Right.
So like,
It's like,
It kind of helps remind them.
Oh yeah.
Like maybe there is something to it.
And then all of a sudden somebody says,
Namaste.
And they're like,
Oh,
That makes me feel accepted and kind and their energy when they say it is kind,
You know.
So I'm thinking,
You know,
Like it's done a lot,
Even though.
It's watered down,
It's still serving a purpose.
And I think we need to keep that in mind because there's many doors and avenues that people come into spirituality.
There's as many,
Well,
My whole tattoo sleeve on my right arm is all based on some Arabic calligraphy that I have down here that says,
On my wrist,
That says,
As many pass to God as souls on earth.
So there's many ways in and it's all individual.
So it's going to vary.
You know,
Some people have to get rich and famous and then find out that that's not it.
And then they look for spirituality.
You know,
Some people have to get on death row for committing crimes,
Heinous crimes,
And then they find spirituality in their jail cell.
Before they're executed.
Like,
I mean,
And,
And,
You know,
Those are kind of the two extremes.
And then everything in between is the gray area where most of the rest of us land.
You know,
So there's,
And you know,
Anything that that kind of points towards spirituality or,
Or peace and love and stuff like that,
It all plays a part,
Right?
So.
That's important to see and I think like you guys are going to understand a little bit.
A little bit more as I continue why that's important.
Sometimes spirituality is so hard to talk about.
Um,
Because,
You know,
Words minimize everything and it's,
And it's not truly yet.
You're just pointing towards things.
It's never really it,
But so.
But our brain needs to be able to grasp things.
So I have to say things in ways that aren't necessarily exactly true,
Just so you can,
You know,
Just so you can get an idea.
And then you can contemplate it on your own and figure out what I actually mean by that,
Because I can only point towards it,
I can't say what it is,
Because it's bigger than words.
So.
So to oversimplify,
There are people who are just starting out on the spiritual path.
There is a middle,
Probably the largest,
Well,
Not probably,
The largest group,
The way that I'm quantifying it,
The middle group is basically everybody that's on the spiritual path.
You know,
In varying degrees and,
And it's not linear.
So there's not,
You know,
One person isn't here.
And then the other person is three steps ahead of them because they've been practicing for a year longer.
It's not about time.
It's about,
And it's not even about intellectual knowledge.
So the more you study doesn't mean you're further along.
It's about alignment.
So like.
I mean,
In some ways,
I was more awake 23 years ago than I am today.
In some ways,
Kind of,
Depending on how you look at it.
Because I blew open and like,
I was a blank canvas,
Man.
Like I was looking around and And I was developing new ways of processing things.
So like things used to pass right through me sometimes.
I call it like cheesecloth.
It just like,
You know,
Like my ex would be yelling at me and I'd be looking at her going,
Geez,
Why she seems so upset.
I wonder what I wonder what's bothering her.
Because like at no point did I think it was me.
Cause I was like cheesecloth.
I was just completely open and fine.
And all our negative energy was just passing right through me.
So I was just like,
Geez,
I,
I hope she's okay.
I hope she works through it soon.
You know,
And then 10 years later,
I'm like,
Why am I so angry with her?
Uh,
But anyway.
So there's aspects,
Uh,
You know,
And we can fluctuate a little bit.
So,
So in some ways I was kind of more open,
But we do acclimate to where we are.
So,
So in some ways I'm not,
I wasn't more open 23 years ago.
Because now I suffer less often.
Um.
.
.
Less things knock me around because I've learned to implement spirituality on new levels and maybe I'm not walking around in complete bliss all the time and I wasn't in a complete bliss all the time 23 years ago,
But quite a bit I was Maybe I'm not walking around in bliss so much but you kind of get used to You create a new normal and after you've lived like what in the beginning what I would call bliss,
Complete peace.
It was so new.
It was so noticeable and it was so profound to me and others that it was like,
Wow,
This is cool.
But then if you live in that vibration for a while,
You start acclimating to it and it becomes your new normal.
So.
You know,
You're like,
Wow.
You know,
Like Tole said that,
Eckhart Tolle.
It's like,
You know,
Somebody asked them,
Like,
Are you,
If you're in the present moment is basically being in,
And I'm paraphrasing,
I forgot what word they used,
But.
Like being completely in the present moment,
That's like blissful,
That's like complete peace.
So are you walking around blissful and peaceful all the time?
And he said,
Well,
Yes and no,
Like not the way that you think.
Like if you were to jump into my body and experience what my normal,
You would call it bliss.
Because compared to what you're walking around in,
It is bliss.
But I've been walking around in it so long that it's just.
.
.
Normal.
You know,
I'm not walking around all the time going,
Oh,
I'm so blissful.
I'm so blissful.
Like,
No,
It's just my normal vibrational rate.
Like I'm,
I'm just used to being at peace,
You know?
So it's kind of like that.
So,
So this is,
You know,
My point here is,
Is this so many variations and aspects,
Like it's not linear,
But there is a basic middle ground.
We have beginners and then we have people who are.
For lack of better terminology,
Basically enlightened.
You know,
Like Tole,
Like some of the other spiritual teachers.
And I'm not going to start naming them because there's varying degrees of enlightenment,
Really,
Kind of.
And there are some people that I don't know if enlightenment or enlightened would be the first word I would use to describe them,
But when I listen to their teachings,
They're very insightful,
Very profound,
Very on point,
Very deep,
And they live it in their lives as far as what I can see anyway.
I might not be friends with this particular person,
They look like behind the scenes,
But from what I can see,
They seem like they live it on a daily basis,
Right?
Those people,
I'm gonna kind of,
Those are kind of like the masters,
The enlightened ones.
And it used to be very few of those people,
But think about it,
We're on a spiritual shift.
We need more of those people,
Like way more,
Right?
So a lot of the people that have been on a spiritual path,
We need to get ourselves there.
You We need to advance our spirituality,
Get to that new level where basically we kind of I'm not saying 100%,
But we kind of transcend life's struggles.
And we're living in a reality that is that is tangible,
That people can see as an example of this stuff working.
Right.
And that's really one of my biggest points here.
We need to show people that spirituality works and that a new way of life is possible.
This is what we're doing while we're creating the new paradigm.
And from what I see largely in the spiritual community,
And I'm talking I'm talking in spiritual communities that are local,
Like in different areas of the world,
Like small,
You know,
Like,
Like,
For example,
This is probably a good example,
Because I haven't been there in a long time,
Except for a visit,
Briefly.
Like,
When I opened up my spiritual center,
You know,
Umpteen years ago in Rhode Island,
There's a pretty good sized spiritual community in there,
Right?
Like,
Like,
Just in my area of Rhode Island,
There was,
You know,
Now this was I left Rhode Island,
What,
Like,
I don't know,
Eight or nine years ago or something.
So this is why it's a good example,
Because I'm not pointing a finger at anything.
This is hypothetical,
Right?
So I'm not singling anybody out.
It's not personal.
It's not about a particular group of people.
But there was a,
I'm trying to explain that there are communities of spiritual people.
Not necessarily living together,
But there are communities all around the world like this.
Okay,
And sometimes they hang out at yoga studios and sound baths and gong baths and drum circles and online groups and social media groups and all this.
There's all these different types of communities all around the world,
Right?
And where I'm seeing a lot of that,
The problems in that area is the judgment They are so judgmental.
They're just constantly tearing each other down,
Pointing the finger at each other,
Throwing spiritual jargon at one another,
Tearing each other down and calling it spiritual.
And like,
This is what we need to stop doing.
Like what happens is when we wake up spiritually,
It's like our eyes open.
Like,
We were living in a dream.
And all of a sudden we,
Our eyes open,
And we wake up and we're like,
Oh my god,
Like,
Wait a minute,
Like,
There's a bunch of dysfunction going on that I never saw before,
And I haven't been interacting with life.
In a realistic way.
And I see new truths,
And I can feel that they're true.
And this is amazing.
And we get all excited at first,
Right?
Like people are all excited.
Oh,
My God,
I woke up or you know,
At least to some degree.
I mean,
Most people don't wake up fully like that.
I mean,
Most people don't wake up fully.
Period.
They wake up like I woke up extremely profound,
But I didn't wake up fully.
You know,
Like I'm not.
Totally,
Totally woke up Philly.
I didn't wake up fully,
You know,
And then plus I got I got when I woke up,
I was stepping into being a parent of a baby.
Like,
And I had to figure that out.
And I needed to figure out how to hold a job.
Well,
It was easy holding a job once I woke up.
But I needed to,
You know,
Learn,
Relearn how to interact with reality.
And I wasn't in control of everything because my ex wife had full custody.
So I needed to kind of learn how to play the game with one foot in reality and one foot in spirituality.
And kind of dance in between and teach myself and then my son how to kind of fit into both worlds to some degree.
Live by spiritual principles,
But also be aware of society's standards and what's expected of you and how to succeed in that life.
Right?
So I,
You know,
And I think that pulled me out of some of my spirituality,
Because I needed to navigate both worlds for the first you know,
17,
20 years after I woke up.
Whereas now I see some people waking up that are my age,
Like empty nesters that are waking up.
And like,
It's,
It's beautiful because they don't have all the responsibility.
You know,
Some of them are able to retire or not work at all that,
You know,
Your kids don't require so much effort at that point.
Um,
So like you can just focus on yourself.
It's like,
I wasn't able to do that.
I had other things,
But,
But we all have different paths,
Right?
Not complaining.
It's just,
I'm explaining.
We all have different paths.
So but where I see like,
It's so exciting when you wake up,
Right?
And,
You know,
They say if you see years ago,
They used to say,
If you saw a good movie,
You'll tell 10 people like we found the key to life.
And we can feel inside in our bones that this is truth.
So we want to tell everybody.
And it's amazing how quickly we forget that we were asleep.
You know,
People wake up and they're like,
Oh,
We have to live in love and we have to live in love.
And then they see somebody who isn't,
They're like,
You're not living in love.
You should be,
Because it's only love.
And it's like,
Wait a minute,
That doesn't feel like love.
That feels like anger.
You know,
That feels like judgment.
You're not an example of love.
Oh,
Geez.
Neither is that.
So.
.
.
So.
It just feels like there's so much judgment out there and so much condemnation and so much,
You know,
We got to remember that we were asleep.
Two months ago or two years ago.
Or 23 years ago,
Or whatever.
We were asleep,
Like would it have benefited us when we were asleep and we weren't and you know,
Maybe we heard something spiritual,
But we weren't capable of processing it.
Would it have helped us if somebody started yelling at us?
I mean,
You know,
I don't understand why people think that that's going to do anything.
It's such a big part of our culture.
Like,
If we see somebody that doing thinking or saying something that we disagree with,
We attack them.
Like,
That's some sort of viable solution.
When the hell has that ever worked?
I mean,
I remember teaching my son this one time.
And like I was,
I was trying to explain it to him and I was like,
Well,
I said,
You know,
He played a lot of soccer.
I said,
Hey,
I said,
You know,
When,
When you play like one of these teams that,
That you hate,
You know,
You've faced them a bunch of times and,
And,
And they're a good team and you're a good team and you just are rivals.
And there's lots of trash talking and everything and all this stuff.
And then you lose.
Right?
And then after the game,
Some of the other team comes up to you and goes,
You suck.
You guys suck.
You're freaking horrible.
Do you sit there and go,
Yeah,
You know what?
You're right.
We do suck.
Thank you for pointing that out.
I think I'm going to go to practice tomorrow and we're going to practice much harder because,
You know,
You pointed out that we're really not playing up to our,
Up to our level of our capacity or what we could be.
So thank you.
I appreciate that.
I'm going to internalize this and make myself a better player because of it.
My son's like.
No,
I was like,
Right,
Nobody does that.
When somebody attacks you,
You defend.
So even if they agreed with you.
They would tell you to go screw and disregard what you were saying just because of the way you said it.
You know,
And so.
I'm seeing a lot of this judgment and this attacking in the spiritual communities.
And it's like,
We have to stop doing this.
We have to stop doing this because we're tearing each other down and calling it love.
It doesn't change.
We have no right to judge other people,
Period.
It doesn't matter if you're standing on a soapbox of hate or if you're standing on a soapbox of love.
We have no right to judge other people,
Period.
We have a right to assess people.
But assessment is,
You know,
The different people use different words.
I use assessment and judgment,
Like to differentiate,
Like an assessment is when like,
Let's say I I'm sitting at a restaurant and somebody walks in and they're loud and angry.
And I look up and I look at them and I go,
Oh,
What's going on over here?
And I see them acting very angry and violent.
My assessment is going to go.
This person's obviously going through something and I don't want to get in the middle of it.
So I'm going to just keep to myself and hope this blows over and doesn't come into my world.
It's none of my business.
And you know,
Like it's,
This person is obviously upset about something.
And I don't want that to be directed at me.
So I'm going to keep to myself and then I'll keep to myself.
That's an assessment of a person in a situation.
And if you'll notice,
I never said that that person was a jerk or a bad person,
Or they shouldn't be in that restaurant.
See,
Those are all judgments.
Judgment is labeling something as good or bad.
That's a judgment.
An assessment is just assessing a situation.
You're not labeling it as good or bad in any way.
You're just determining what you should do in that scenario.
This person,
You know,
You see some person at the end of a parking lot.
Swearing and smashing bottles and freaking out.
Like,
Okay,
My assessment is,
Is that person might be dangerous.
And I don't want to go over there at this particular time.
If my car's near them.
Maybe I take a five minute walk and see if they're gone.
Try not to look at it,
Whatever,
You're assessing the situation,
But I'm not looking at him going,
He's bad.
He shouldn't be doing that.
He's wrong.
He shouldn't,
I shouldn't be scared to go towards my car.
I'm going to go at my car.
And if he comes at me,
Then I'm going to like,
This is all judgment energy.
This is what we need to stop doing.
And I know I'm using extreme examples here,
So maybe I shouldn't,
You know,
Maybe I should use,
I'm just,
The extreme examples are good to understand what I'm talking about.
Sometimes they're not the best to bring it back into normal life situations.
But Like,
For some reason,
It's almost like if we're in a spiritual community,
Because I've talked to a lot of my clients about this over the years.
My teachings are very deep and grounded.
And sometimes when people wake up spiritually,
They go get into the spiritual communities and start having spiritual friends and their heart is open and they're like,
Oh my God,
I found my tribe.
This is going to be so wonderful.
Your love,
Unlove,
Everything's love.
And this is wonderful.
And then all of a sudden,
Three weeks later,
Something happens and that one of their spiritual friends gets triggered and says something that they shouldn't have.
And they're like,
I don't understand.
I thought we're all love.
It's like,
Whoa.
Not all the time.
You thought everybody was perfect?
And didn't have any triggers left and have worked through all their traumas and are completely enlightened.
No,
That's not what the spiritual communities are like.
People still have their triggers.
Some of them,
You know,
Maybe they transcended some,
Hopefully,
But not all of them.
Like,
We're all at varying degrees,
And we have to stop judging each other and condemning each other for these varying degrees.
It's like we're just an extension of the unconscious.
The unconscious people are judging everybody for their worst mistake.
You know,
If somebody.
Somebody flips out and.
I don't know,
You know,
They do something stupid.
They.
They get in a fight with their spouse and they,
They,
They storm off and go get in a fight at the bar or something.
I don't freaking know.
You know,
Now all of a sudden everybody's like,
Oh my God,
Like,
Geez,
He seemed like such a nice guy.
And now he's just,
You know,
He's violent.
You know,
His spouse should probably get away from him because he got in a fight at a bar.
It's just like,
Oh,
This is just unacceptable.
Oh.
You know,
Now all of a sudden he's a violent offender.
Because.
.
.
He was in a bad space.
He went and got liquored up and some other liquored up.
Person.
Started some crap with him and maybe he defended himself.
Maybe it's not even his fault,
But it doesn't matter because he's a family man that's normal,
That lives in the suburbs,
And now he's Mr.
Violent in the community.
And that's how everybody sees them.
You know,
Like,
So this is what society is doing.
They're waiting.
Everybody's got a camera and everybody's got a video and everybody's waiting for somebody to screw up so they can catch it on video.
And it can go viral.
And then the whole world can know,
Look,
That's the bad guy.
Therefore,
I must be the good person,
Because I'm not that and that's bad.
Spiritual communities are doing the same thing.
We're doing the same thing to each other.
With all this judgment and pointing the fingers.
So my point here is,
To,
To kind of,
You know,
What I talked about is a very broad picture.
There's really tons of variations of it and everything.
Right.
So I want to simplify.
So there's just kind of,
We can take all this blah,
Blah stuff I've been talking about.
Simplify it.
And so we can one understand it clearly.
And two,
Hopefully I can give us something that we can focus on.
You know,
That's simple,
Not necessarily easy,
But simple.
So.
What I'm looking at as a solution.
A general way of looking at this,
What I'm talking about and the solution is that If we are judging,
Then we are not where we need to be spiritually.
And if we are not where we need to be spiritually,
Then we don't need to be worrying about everybody else.
What we should be doing is taking care of ourselves.
Why?
Because we're not where we need to be.
Period.
Very simple.
If you are judging other people,
You are not where you need to be on your spiritual path.
Period.
And I don't care what your spiritual path is.
I don't care if it's based in a religion.
I don't care if it's based in a belief system.
I don't care if it's based on something you made up.
I don't care if it's based in astrology.
I don't care.
It doesn't matter.
If you are trying to be an example of love or a good person or a better version of yourself,
Or closer to Jesus,
Or closer to Allah or anything else,
If you are on what anybody might possibly mistake as a some sort of spiritual or religious path or self-development any of it.
If you are judging other people,
You are not where you need to be.
You shouldn't be focusing on everybody else.
You need to be focusing on you.
And I think that this is the problem.
We're stuck in the middle.
We're stuck here.
There's all kinds of people awakening and there's all kinds of reasons why people get stuck.
Right?
Like the information age is one reason why people are getting stuck.
Like you can just read 362,
000 books and listen to 500,
000 podcasts.
And then if you're not happy inside,
People go,
I must,
I must be missing something.
I must be missing some piece of information.
So I'll read another 350,
000 books and maybe it's in one of those.
It's like,
No,
It's not in a book.
It's about implementing it within you.
Integrating it into how you interact with life on a daily basis.
That's what it's about.
And if you're walking around judging people,
And I'm not saying that we're going to be perfect at this,
I'm just saying we need to,
It's obvious to me that we need to get way better.
Way better.
So it doesn't really matter why you're stuck,
Right?
Because I could do a podcast,
Sit here,
Go,
Oh,
Maybe it's the information age because you're just studying stuff too much and you're not implementing enough.
Or maybe you're too dependent on plant medicines and you're not integrating enough.
Or maybe you're not spending enough time alone.
Maybe you don't know how to meditate.
Maybe this,
Maybe that,
Maybe this,
Maybe that.
There's so many people,
There's so many different things,
There's so many different ways.
It doesn't matter.
To figure out your path.
You have to figure out your way.
If you keep knocking,
The door shall be opened.
Like if you earnestly desire peace within you,
You will find peace within you.
And that's where it is,
By the way,
It's within you.
It's not outside of you.
It's not in a book.
It's not in a video.
It's not at a retreat center.
It's not in Bob O'Reilly's closet.
Oh,
I like that one.
Put in the comments if you know Barbara O'Reilly.
That's hilarious.
What was I saying?
Oh,
That was funny.
So so like,
It's inside of you.
If you are judging other people,
That is your red flag that you need to go in and you need to be able to be honest with yourself because most people that are judging other people are going,
You don't understand Glenn,
They're not standing in love.
That's none of your business.
Yes,
But they're causing all the problems in the world.
That's not your business.
We're not here to fix all the problems in the world.
You think,
And I'm not saying that we can't put energy towards solving social problems,
Especially if that's your life.
Like if you've dedicated your life or you have a job that actually incites change,
Like it gets bills passed in Congress or something actionable,
Tangible,
Not I'm gonna complain on social media and pretend that I'm standing up for good.
That's just complaining.
You're not standing up for good.
You're complaining.
And complaining feeds the ego.
Because what you're saying is,
If it were up to me,
It wouldn't be like this,
Therefore I'm better.
That's what all complaining does.
All complaining.
Because that doesn't change anything.
If you want,
If you wanted to change something,
You would actually take action to change it.
Take energy and or money,
Those are the two most common.
Energies that actually incite change on planet Earth the way it's set up right now.
You know,
Sometimes it takes money to build something that eradicates people not having water to drink.
Okay,
Well,
That could be money,
But it also takes energy,
People to build that.
Right.
So energy and money are two of the things that can incite change if they're used for those reasons.
So if you want to do some of that stuff,
Then go do it.
But don't think that you voicing your opinion on social media is changing anything because it's not or complaining to your friends or getting around in a circle and complaining about what's wrong with the world and everybody going,
Yes,
You're right.
They should all be like us and love and then the world would be a better place.
It doesn't do anything.
Except stroke your ego.
If you want to take some action to incite some tangible change,
Then fine,
Go do it.
But you don't need to complain in order to do that.
And we don't need to,
Just so everybody knows,
I'm gonna give you a little,
What do they call those,
PSA,
Public service announcement.
We don't need awareness on anything,
Okay?
That's one reason why people give for complaining constantly.
Well,
We need to bring awareness.
We need to bring awareness to the problems in the world.
Really?
Really?
We've been in a tech,
The information age for 50 years.
Like nobody knows what's going on in the world.
I haven't watched the news in 23 years.
I haven't like.
I know exactly what's going on in the world.
Like everybody knows what's going on in the world.
We don't need awareness.
Everybody's pretty aware of what the problems are,
And they're not getting fixed,
And they're not going to.
We need to create a new paradigm.
So all the problems in the world are the reason that we have them,
And we've had different versions of them for the last 10,
20,
30,
000 years,
100,
000 years,
Is because the ego drives thinking and action.
And it causes all the problems.
So if we have an ego run world and we solve one of these problems,
Let's say we solve some,
You know,
Poverty or something.
Okay,
Well,
Then we've still got all the other problems.
What about child abductions?
What about sex offenders?
What about the corruption in the governments?
What about like,
It's just the world is one gigantic problem.
Even if we solved one,
It's not going to do anything.
We need to create a new paradigm based in different energy.
And we need to be that energy in order to create the new paradigm.
And quite honestly,
We're not there yet.
And we need to,
We need to.
Like wake up to the reality of that.
Because all of us on the spiritual path,
Like we have free will.
Us surviving as a species is not guaranteed.
I mean,
Us surviving eternally is guaranteed because we're eternal beings,
But.
Human beings on planet Earth?
Our extinction is entirely possible.
But you know,
And the only thing that's going to stop it is a shift.
That's why the spiritual shift is happening.
But we have to participate in the spiritual shift.
The spiritual shift doesn't happen.
Like we're so used to just waiting for somebody else to do it.
Well,
You know what the problem is,
Is the government,
You know,
That's the problem is the government should fix this.
It's like the government,
Nobody's coming to save us.
The government doesn't care.
They're winning.
You know,
They're living their best lives,
Pocking in all kinds of money,
Traveling the world,
Doing whatever they want.
Why would they stop doing what's working for them?
They're not going to.
It's the rest of us.
And it's always been like this.
It was like this in Jesus's time.
Like,
Nothing's changed.
It's up to us to bring in the new change.
It's up to us to be the example we wish to see.
And it's not only for us.
Once you you're going to be insanely happy when you find out how peaceful you are when you stop judging other people.
Because,
You know,
Something that a lot of people don't realize is judgment is judgment.
You are either judgmental or you are not judgmental,
Period.
Now,
Can some people judge themselves harder than other people?
Yeah.
You know,
It varies.
You're either judgmental or you're not.
But some people will judge themselves 70% of the time and they'll judge others 30% of the time.
So they think they're good people because they're like,
I don't really judge others that much.
I'm really hard on myself.
Well,
That's horrible.
You're going to destroy whatever self love you might have left.
And you're never going to be happy if you're constantly judging yourself.
Other people judge everyone else 70% of the time and themselves 30%.
And they're like,
You know,
I'm not that hard on myself.
I kind of love myself.
So I guess I'm okay.
It's like no,
You're judging everybody else.
Like,
So we're either judgmental or we're not.
It can vary in how much,
In which ways we're judgmental,
But we're judgmental or we're not.
So when we're judging other people,
We will judge ourselves,
At least to some degree.
And if we work on not judging ourselves.
.
.
If we do it right.
We'll just stop judging everyone and how we judge other people will lower as we judge ourselves less.
If we do it right,
If we do it wrong and just project it onto other people,
Well,
Then we just end up judging ourselves,
You know,
10% and everybody else,
90%.
What good does that do?
It's still just judgment.
So we have to get out of this judgment thing.
That's why I want to simplify it and say,
It's just that if you're running,
If you're catching yourself judging,
And I'm not saying you're a bad person for judging,
By the way,
Like I'm not judging you for judging.
Like I still judge people and situations in ways that I shouldn't.
I get it.
I'm not saying that I'm perfect at this,
But all I'm saying is.
I know what I'm reaching for and that's what I want you guys to learn.
I want you to know what you're reaching for.
I don't want you judging yourself because you're judging others or judging yourself because you're judging yourself.
That just compounds the problem,
Right?
So I don't want,
I'm not doing this to make you feel bad or to set some standard that you have to live up to or something.
And if you don't,
Then you're a bad person.
No,
That's more judgment.
Like,
But you do need to know,
Like,
It's possible to live without judgment.
And until you're there,
That's a really good,
Simple,
Easy way to figure out what you should be doing in your life.
You know,
Because it's the information age and there's spirituality and different modalities of it everywhere.
And how do you sort through it?
And how do you know what you're supposed to do and what you're not supposed to do and what's going to work for you and what's not going to work for you?
Well,
I'm trying to simplify it so you're not overstimulated,
Trying to navigate all this spiritual stuff out there.
Right.
So here's I'm going to simplify it for you.
If you are judging other people,
You're not done your work.
And if you're not done your work,
Don't worry about what everybody else is doing.
Just keep focusing on your work.
That's it!
If we all did that.
What I'm telling you,
The spiritual shift will take off like a rocket.
The more people just do that.
If you catch yourself in your head,
Judgment doesn't have to come out of your mouth.
Like this is what was talked about when,
What was that?
What's that religious thing with Christianity?
Like they said something like,
If you commit a sin in your head,
Then it's like you already commit,
Then it's like you committed the sin.
There's no difference from committing the sin externally and thinking about committing the sin.
Paraphrasing,
But I'm sure most of you have heard what I'm talking about.
And even if you haven't,
I think I explained it well enough where I can go on.
But this is what is meant by this.
Because like,
It's it's not that like,
Oh,
I I thought about cheating on my wife.
So it's the same as if I cheated on my wife.
No,
That's not what they're talking about.
That's a misunderstanding.
What they're saying is,
Is that if you're continually doing something in your head,
Over and over,
Like thinking about cheating on your wife,
Like,
Oh,
I want to cheat on my wife.
Oh,
I want I want to covet my neighbor's wife.
Oh,
I want to be with this other woman.
Oh,
I want to do that.
Like eventually you're probably going to go do it.
And even if you don't,
Physically go do it,
It's going to negatively impact your life.
Why?
Because if you keep feeding yourself that thought,
Oh,
I want you to my wife,
I want you to my wife,
I want you to my wife,
You're probably going to go do it.
But even if you don't,
You're going to start finding problems with her.
Why?
Because your unconsciousness is trying to get you a reason to cheat on your wife,
Because you keep telling yourself you want to cheat on your wife.
So then all of a sudden,
You come home from work,
And you know,
I'll go with some old cliche stuff,
You know,
Like,
So you come home from work and your wife was supposed to have dinner and it's,
You know,
It's,
It's not ready until 30 minutes later.
And the deal is,
Is it's supposed to be ready when you get home from work and it took her too long.
Well,
Geez,
She can't even cook on time or,
You know,
Like,
Or she was supposed to pick up the kids and she was five minutes late or,
You know,
Like,
I don't know.
Look,
I work all day and she stays home and I think there might be some dust on the coffee table.
Oh my God,
She can't even keep,
You know,
Like you'll find reasons that there's something wrong with her.
So you can rationalize on an unconscious level why it makes sense for you to go cheat on her.
Well,
She's not a good wife anyway,
So I'm just going to go,
You know,
And women do the same thing.
And,
You know,
Just.
I know that we're all equals.
Pardon me for using a scenario of women staying home and a man working.
It can just flip-flop it,
All right?
There are plenty of stay-at-home dads.
I was a single parent.
I was mom and dad.
For years.
So like,
I get it.
I'm not saying it to be sexist or something.
There are still women.
I'm not saying women are supposed to stay home with the child and clean the house and cook.
I'm not saying that.
I'm saying that it is realistic on planet Earth that some women still do that while the man works.
Believe it or not,
That does happen in life.
Still exists on planet Earth.
So just because I use.
You know,
It's so silly,
Like you say,
You say one dynamic,
And if it's not progressive,
Where the,
You know,
Like,
If I were to say,
Hey,
You know,
The woman comes home from work,
And,
You know,
The husband doesn't have the dinner on the table on time,
Everybody's like,
Okay,
Glenn's progressive,
And he's socially acceptable.
And,
Okay,
I understand what he's saying,
But if I use an example.
That the woman's staying home,
Then I'm attacked.
No,
You're sexist!
Why like they're There are no women who would like to stay home and take care of their children and clean the house.
And cook while they're,
Like,
I live in a DR,
Man.
That's,
You know,
Maybe that's part of the reason why this came up.
Like,
It's like taking a step back in time over here,
You know?
So anyway,
I digress.
Use whatever example you want.
There's millions of them,
You know,
But.
This is what is meant by like,
You don't necessarily have to go do something.
Like I don't need to look at somebody and say,
Well,
You're a jerk because you didn't return your grocery cart.
Like,
I don't have to actually say that for me to experience the negativity and the poison flowing through my own body.
Of judgment.
Because that's what it is,
It's poison flowing through us.
You're bad,
I'm good.
Ego.
We're feeding our ego.
So.
We have to stop this judgment.
We have to stop this judgment.
And you know,
The other thing is,
Is like,
We've got all these people in the spiritual past,
Some at the beginning,
Some who haven't even started yet.
And we're picking up steam and spirituality is so commonplace now.
There's a lot of people that aren't ready to wake up.
Or don't know how to do it,
Or aren't sure about it,
And they're looking.
And you know what they see is a bunch of judgment.
See,
That's,
That's the biggest problem of this.
I think,
You know,
Like if we,
And I think I'm going to wrap up.
Yeah,
Time-wise,
I'm wrapping up.
We have to understand how social change takes place,
Right?
By a minority of people finding a newer and better way of functioning.
And then a big group of people in the middle.
That are kind of half and half.
They're not sure yet.
Maybe they haven't started.
They're a little disconcerted,
Discontent with the way they live their life.
And then there's people who just are completely against change and aren't going to wake up at all.
So there's like three kinds of groups.
The people who aren't going to change and wake up at all.
We don't have to worry about them.
We don't have to argue with them.
We don't have to worry about them.
Just starve them.
Starve them of our attention.
They'll fade away.
We don't have to worry about them.
It's the people in the middle that make all the difference.
And the people in the middle are at different levels of spirituality.
And they're not sure what to do next.
And they're not sure how to really step into it and change their lives and stuff.
And they're looking and they're curious.
And what we need is we need more people.
We need to make spirituality look more attractive,
Because quite honestly,
Right now,
It doesn't look very attractive.
It looks like a bunch of people running around doing all this weird stuff like retreats and sound baths and,
And meditation and,
And,
And,
And plant medicines and,
And,
And all this weird stuff that,
That,
That the people in the middle,
A lot of people in the middle don't even understand.
And they're like,
I don't,
I don't know.
They don't really seem like that much happier.
I mean,
They're bitching and complaining like everybody else half the time.
Yeah.
And then half the time they're talking love,
Like,
Love light.
And then they're like,
You suck.
And it's like,
I don't know,
Man.
I don't know.
It doesn't really look that attractive.
Like these other p I'm trying to get away from people complaining and,
And,
And,
And and being angry and attacking one another and frustration.
And non-fulfillment and like I'm trying to get away from all that.
So I'm going to look to spirituality.
Eh,
I don't know,
Man.
I don't know if I want to go.
Like,
I mean,
They're talking a good game.
They're talking about love and light and a new paradigm.
But I don't know,
Man.
They don't really seem like they're embodying it that much.
Like half the time they're really frustrated.
That like I'm not with them.
They're yelling at us.
They're yelling at us.
You're not love and light.
You suck.
If you're not part of the solution,
You're part of the problem.
You suck.
Standing on their soapbox of love.
Right?
And these people are going.
No,
It doesn't really feel like love.
I don't think I want to go on a spiritual path.
It doesn't really seem like it's what they make it out to be.
I'm not sure,
I'm just going to hover here for a little while longer.
You know,
This is what I mean.
We need to be the example of love.
And the best and simplest way to do that is for us to get to a place where we're not angry,
We're not frustrated,
We're not judgmental.
So if,
You know,
I guess maybe you could expand this a little bit.
If you're angry regularly,
If you're frustrated,
If there's anything wrong,
This is actually one of my.
Personal rules.
If I do not like the way that I feel inside of my body,
Then that means there's something wrong with the way that I'm looking at life.
Every time.
Every single time because I am in control of how I look at things and how I internalize things.
So.
Getting frustrated and angry over something doesn't change anything.
It doesn't,
Especially if you act out of anger.
It just feeds more anger into an angry situation.
We need to make changes out of love if we want to actually change things.
And if we need to be able to stand in love.
So my work,
And I hope your work,
Is whenever,
If I'm feeling angry or frustrated,
Well,
There must be,
There's nothing wrong with life.
Life is fine.
It's been going on for 35 billion years,
And it's gonna continue going on.
And God or the divine intelligence of the universe knows a hell of a lot more than me,
So I don't think I should be questioning their job and how they're doing it.
I'm going to assume that there's something wrong with the way that I'm looking at life.
So then I make my adjustment.
Maybe I can look at it differently.
Maybe I need to drop into acceptance,
Whatever,
But it's about me.
It's always about me.
So me adjusting something.
So if you're judging,
If you're frustrated,
That's a red flag.
To do what?
To turn within and to work on yourself more.
Why?
Because you're not there yet,
That's why.
Don't worry about what the rest of the world's doing.
Don't worry that you're 50% awake and there.
22% awake and you're going to get them up with you at 50.
No,
Your job is to go from 50 to 90.
That's what your job is.
Focus on your job.
Focus on you.
They'll go from 20 to 30.
That's their job.
Let them do that.
They don't need your help.
You're not going to fix them.
Ugh.
All right,
I think that's it.
Judgment,
Frustration,
Or anything,
Anger,
Whatever.
It means that there's more work to do on you.
Focus on you doing your work.
And then all of a sudden,
We're going to get to this,
We're going to have a bunch of us that are at this place where we're nonjudgmental,
We're loving,
We're good examples of the new paradigm,
And then more people will hop on board.
But they need a tangible,
Realistic role model or example of a reason to go in this direction.
And right now,
I don't think we're giving them very good reason.
Half of us,
We look as confused and messed up just in a different way,
Kind of more loving,
But still just as confused and messed up.
And it's like,
Well,
You know,
Just because when you wake up halfway,
Don't stop and then think you've got to fix everybody that's below you.
No,
You've got to do the other half.
All right,
That's going to do it.
All right.
Thanks for listening,
Peeps.
Hope you enjoyed it.
And let me know if I can help.
Alright,
Peace.
