Calling On Angels

In this Podcast, I share how the Angels accompanied me on my recent trip to Austin, TX. While going with the flow, we experienced VIP parking, front row seats, and plenty of Joy. This Podcast also features the Archangel Michael.

Hi friends and fellow Earth angels,

It's Gladys and welcome back to my podcast.

And today I want to share a story with you about how I called upon the angels all throughout my recent trip to Austin,

Texas.

Texas has been calling me to visit for the last few years and I was able to go down there to visit a friend who just moved there.

She was living on the outskirts of Washington DC and this summer felt like it was time for her to move.

She had visited Austin,

Texas a few times herself and she was really inspired and felt really attracted to the energy there.

It was really cool to watch her journey unfold into deciding to move there and then going to visit and then finding our home there.

And I was super excited to book my trip and go help her settle in.

So as divine luck would have it,

I had enough points on my Southwest credit card to basically get a free flight out there.

So the divine guidance and the divine intervention had started from the moment I booked the flight.

So I fly into Texas and she and I are both spiritually awakened in the sense that we are open to what's happening around us,

The signs,

The guidance.

And so two people together was so much fun being in this space.

So I get there and we had plans to have no plans.

So she had formulated a list of all these things that we could do with the option of doing them or not.

So our intention going into this time that we were going to spend together was to really go with the flow and be where the wind takes us.

So it was interesting.

So the night before,

We would set out thinking about what our next day was going to look like.

And when we kind of got jammed up,

Like,

I don't know what I feel like,

We would wait till the next morning and just be inspired to get up and go.

One of the first nights I was there,

We were going to go to this outdoor concert.

It was outside of a grocery store.

And so on our way there,

She said,

Angels,

She said,

Help us with a parking spot.

And I was like,

Oh,

Yeah,

Good idea.

And I said,

I said,

Thank you angels for giving us the best parking spot.

Well would you know we pulled in this parking lot and it was completely packed.

As we were coming around the corner,

It just so happens that a vehicle was pulling out of the first spot that was directly in front of where the band was playing.

Now at the time,

I thought the band was playing in a different area.

So when we got out,

So when we pulled into the spot,

I was like,

Oh,

This is so awesome.

We got the first,

The first parking spot,

But I'm thinking we had to walk to a different end of the parking lot.

And then as soon as I got out of the car,

I realized the band was playing literally right across the street.

And I just,

I was so filled with joy and laughter that the parking spot was even better than I knew.

And I kind of laughed how the angels always know better than you do.

You think you have a plan,

You think you have an idea.

And I think the fun part is,

Is the,

The manifestation of the actual parking spot.

And I'm thinking the two of us together are so powerful and,

And what incredible energy to be able to take a thought and actually make it into an open parking spot.

And it was so perfect because as we were just coming around the corner,

Naturally,

This person just happened to back out.

So talk about how things had to be in alignment.

And one of the key things was we kind of left it up to the universe,

But we didn't think about it.

It wasn't like,

All right,

Angels,

Find us the spot.

Where's the spot.

We kind of released it into the ethers and it all so happened.

It all happened so organically.

It was really beautiful.

And then there was another night when we had plans to go to this meetup.

And it was interesting because the original place that we were supposed to be at had changed because there was a larger group that they were expecting.

So they needed to move it to a bigger location.

So we go to this place and there really hardly was anybody there.

One of the things that was,

Was for us was there was a lot of smoking outside on the back patio and my,

My friend and I were kind of really sensitive to it.

So we were like,

Ah,

You know,

We're not really feeling this place.

So we found the area where the meetup group was and we're kind of standing around and it,

It just didn't feel right.

It just,

It just wasn't our scene.

And we're just kind of looking at each other.

Now the old us,

We would have stayed there.

We would have probably just been uncomfortable.

And because it was the plan,

We would have just stuck.

So we both kind of looked at each other and said,

You know what,

Let's go try to find somewhere where,

You know,

That's,

That's more our scene.

So we pulled out our list of,

Of things that were going on that night.

And there was this place that was having dueling pianos and we were going to get there just about when it started.

So we got our park parking spot.

We went into this place and the guy at the door had said,

You know,

Do ladies have a reservation?

And we were like,

No,

Do we need one?

And he said,

Well,

It just so happens we've had a couple cancellations tonight.

How would you like a table right up in front near the pianos?

We looked at each other.

I looked at him.

I said,

Yes,

Please.

So we walked in,

We were sat right in front of the dueling pianos.

We were there for like three or four hours.

Friends,

I sang the whole night.

The whole place filled up.

The energy in the place was so awesome.

And you know,

It kind of made me think back,

Like we could have stayed where we were.

We felt uncomfortable.

But because we listened to that uncomfortable feeling,

It was almost like now that I look back at it,

Something was pushing us out of there saying,

Hey,

I have something better for you.

And it was such a,

It was such a,

An epiphany with me and how important following your,

Your intuition and your guidance in the way you're feeling can be so powerful.

Even though you set out for a plan,

It's almost often that the universe,

When you're feeling uncomfortable has something even better.

We left there.

We had the best night.

And to top it all off,

It was just starting to get a little rowdy.

We looked at each other.

This song came on,

We didn't really like,

We were,

And we both looked at each other and said,

I think it's time for us to go.

So we ended up leaving.

We took a little walk around the street just to see all the things that were going on.

And we got in our car and we came home.

The crazy thing was no sooner did she close the garage,

We came inside,

Took our shoes off,

It started to downpour.

And once again,

We both came out of our rooms and just was peeking outside.

She's like,

Is that rain?

And I'm like,

Yeah,

I think so.

And sure enough,

It was down pouring outside.

And I laughed.

I was thinking about how naturally were we guided to just take a walk,

Feel like,

Okay,

It's time to get in the car.

Okay,

It's time for us to go home,

Get in the house so leisurely.

And then boom,

It was almost like the weather gods was just kind of holding out so we wouldn't have this crazy rain to drive home in.

It was so perfect.

And so I took so many things from this trip as how important going with the flow was.

So my friend and I,

We're business people,

We can be masculine in the sense where we want to grow and we want to expand.

And we've always got these creative ideas that we want to implement.

And we can really be in our masculine business sense.

And so this trip for both of us,

We were so in our feminine energy and I didn't even realize it until like,

Maybe a day before I was supposed to be leaving.

And I looked at her,

I said,

You know what feels so good?

I feel like we've been in our body,

In our female feminine energy and going with the flow this whole trip.

A lot of times I can be in my head with analyzing and problem solving and trying to figure things out.

And I use my intuition a lot with clients.

But in that other end of it,

I'm also working on how do I grow and expand my business?

What can I do?

And so my intention was to go down to Austin,

Texas to expand my reach and really look for business opportunities and ways that I can expand and maybe travel back and forth.

And this trip ended up being about play.

It ended up being about going with the flow and having a good time calling on the universe.

I have received so many signs down there between license plates and hawks seeing the hawks flying above in the air.

And I have to say I felt so refreshed as I wasn't in my thinking brain.

I wasn't in my analyzing and figuring things out.

If things didn't work,

We kind of just looked at each other and said,

Hey,

Let's go go to another place.

And the beautiful thing down there is it's such an eclectic group of people that you can almost find anything that fits your speed between coffee shops and bookstores and streets of just all different like mini houses of people who are playing live music and socializing.

It was just so powerful.

And,

And of course,

You know,

As girls,

We got dressed up and we could get go out and really just kind of be in our feminine element.

And it was just so,

So good.

It was just felt so good being out there.

So one of the angels that is helpful with parking spots is the Archangel Michael.

This goes back to like when I first started learning about angels and how Michael can help clear the way for you.

So you can call upon Michael to help clear traffic for you.

You can ask Michael for a parking spot assistance.

You can ask Michael to come into your life when you're have like a worry or fear.

You know,

There were some times where we were going down and really weren't sure where we were going.

So we were just asking the angels to help us find a parking garage or a parking spot to clear the way for us to keep us safe and protected.

And it was just so natural in the way we flowed throughout the city.

And as we as we go into so this podcast is being released at the beginning of December and we're coming to the end of 2018,

Which has really been a shadow year for a lot of people.

It's been a year of growth and expansion.

My friend and I were talking about this how we were saying it was a horrible year,

But the best year because we learned so much about ourselves.

So growth is not always unicorns and rainbows.

Growth can be challenging because you really do have to come out of your comfort zone.

You have to seek alternatives to things that aren't working anymore.

But when we got together,

We realized like how powerful and strong we felt and because of that,

As we came together,

We had so many creative ideas.

And it just goes to show you that like when you clean out the closets and you get rid of that clutter,

The thoughts,

The crazy thought thinking and the emotional pain and the stuffing the emotions.

When you give yourself an opportunity to allow that stuff to come out,

To sit with the feelings of how things feel.

And again,

I always recommend some type of support,

Whether it's holistic therapies,

Whether it's spiritual guidance.

I always encourage people not to feel like you have to go through these changes in these metamorphosis on your own.

There's so much access to people.

The work that I do,

I like to call it like knowledge therapy.

I take everything I know spiritual and I share that with clients for them to be able to grow and expand.

But the beauty of it is you realizing that you're not alone,

That other people are having these experiences good,

Bad and indifferent.

So despite it being a challenging year,

We were also able to find so much joy and pleasure in that energy when we refuse to get stuck in it.

It's like getting stuck in the mud and your tires are just spinning and spinning.

Well sometimes you just need a tow truck to come in and pull you out.

So I feel like that's what this trip was for both of us.

It was us coming together,

Being in our powerful,

Feminine,

Fun energy,

Our playful energy.

And we really kind of watered each other and kind of filled each other up.

So here I am coming back and I want to take this energy into December.

You know,

I kind of want to take a time out from all the quote unquote work I've been doing and really play with the energy that started down in Austin,

Texas of going with the flow,

Being in that feminine energy of navigating joy and laughter.

So one of the things that I think are powerful are our intentions.

So no,

No,

This would also be a good time to start thinking about what your word is for 2019.

Meaning every year,

Well not every year,

For the last few years I've been inspired to pick a word that would be a theme for my next year,

Around this time of year.

And last,

So December 2017,

Towards the end of December,

I was walking around,

I was shopping and doing all these things and I kept seeing the word joy.

Joy kept popping up for me.

And so I was in a place in my life at the time where I wasn't really experiencing joy.

I was doing a lot of inner work.

And so I chose joy for my word for 2018.

And it was,

It's been so interesting to play with that word this year.

So I have to say there wasn't a lot of traditional joy,

But through the shadow work that I've been doing this entire year,

I have,

I have,

What's the word,

I have expanded and deepened my definition of the word joy.

I feel joy now on deeper,

Deeper levels in the most simplest things.

And I think,

I think that's so incredibly powerful.

One of the experiences that I had when I was in Austin was there was a tree lighting at the city capital,

Christmas tree lighting.

And so families all over the city came together around the city capital to watch the tree light lighting.

And of course there was like a Christmas stroll and vendors and,

You know,

We got our kettle corn and walked around and,

And looked at all like the vendors,

The shopping and all,

And all that stuff.

And so on our way back to the car,

We were walking,

You know,

By the back through the capital,

You know,

Through the capital city.

And at the capital,

There was,

There was like,

There was a big giant hell and somebody had had a truckload of just boxes and there were kids all over the capital lawn,

Sliding down the hill with boxes.

Now coming from new England,

I thought it was the coolest thing because I mean,

How,

I mean,

I think every child grows up with the tube and the sled and we go sledding as soon as the snow falls.

So snow wasn't a common thing at that point.

It was still like 60,

70 degrees out at that time.

And so they were using cardboard boxes as a sled to slide down the hill and the joy and the laughter that came from these kids were so infectious.

They were like barrel rolling over each other.

Parents were standing around laughing and giggling.

So my friend and I,

We just kind of sat there and we watched them and I felt the joy in my body from head to toe through their joy.

And that's what I mean about understanding the depth of the word joy.

It wasn't about having to do all these things to invoke joy.

It wasn't the void in the emptiness and the lack thereof joy.

It was allowing the experience to unfold in the moment.

And I know that was the divine.

I know it was divine intervention to experience this energy is everything I've gone through this year to be able to stand there and have that moment and to be able to giggle and laugh with them and just be in that energy was so powerful.

So when you pick your word,

Whether it's a word that you've been seeing often,

Whether it's a word that you know you need,

Sometimes people pick balance or pause or peace.

Know that when you choose that word is powerful and it will play with you all throughout the year.

So I encourage you to use this divine intervention to use this divine guidance to at this point,

Start thinking about what energy do you want for 2019?

Now I'm thinking about the word stability and the word magnetic.

Magnetic really intrigues me.

The feminine energy is magnetic.

And over these last few months,

I've been learning a lot about how powerful and beautiful the feminine energy is because I've really been in my masculine energy for a really long time with growing and expanding my business.

And I'm realizing the balance in between me of this masculine feminine energy.

So being my magnetic is intriguing to me.

And then also being able to create stability.

That's another thing because this year has been so topsy turvy for me.

So I'm just kind of playing with those words with what I'm going to choose for 2019.

So as I share these stories of divine guidance and how the angels have showed up,

Being the end of the year,

Now would be a good time to being open to a word that will carry you through 2019.

Now in my next few podcasts,

I'm going to talk more about 2019 and exactly what it means.

But you know what I say,

You know,

At this point,

Drop the work,

The have tos and the shoulds and maybe take these next couple weeks to practice going with the flow.

Practice calling on the divine,

Calling on angels,

Calling on God and asking them to show up for you in a way that's joyful,

Abundant and peaceful.

Maybe you can just be mindful of being aware of the joy and the experiences that are happening around you.

I mean,

I love nothing more than getting in my car with somebody and just driving around and looking at Christmas lights.

I love nothing more than going to places where people are gathering,

Having hot cocoa and enjoying Christmas lights and doing all those fun things that the holiday season brings in December.

December is really one of my favorite,

Favorite months.

But I also have to be mindful to take the time and not overwork or feel like I've got to do,

Do,

Do through this month.

So,

You know,

As I encourage you to go with the flow,

Tap into how you're feeling,

Be in tune,

Ask the universe to show up for you and guide you,

Be in that space of joy,

Be merry.

It's a season of being giving and sharing and also to receiving.

It's so beautiful to receive gifts that,

You know,

Somebody has thought of you about.

I mean,

I don't really have a lot of people in my life that I have to buy for or receive from,

But,

You know,

Sometimes I'll get Christmas cards in the mail and it's so fun.

I think they're so great.

Sometimes I'll get a little present here and there that's unexpected.

And you know,

I love surprises,

So I'm not in a space where I need to receive,

But when I do,

It's really fun.

So I really remind myself to take in that moment and really have that experience of how good it feels to receive something that somebody thought was thoughtful or they thought of you.

It really is a simplified way of enjoying this holiday season because it really can get,

It really can get complicated.

It can really get caught up.

Like,

I don't know what this person wants.

I don't know what to buy.

If you don't know,

Call on the divine,

Ask God and the angels to show up for you.

And that perfect idea might just pop into your head.

Maybe you're looking for something to do.

You know,

I can't tell you the power of a smile,

Being able to let somebody go into stop sign,

Those simple things that can bring joy to others.

You know,

It's so infectious.

Have you ever,

Have you ever let somebody go at an intersection and then shortly right after that they let somebody go?

It really is the ripple ripple effect.

You know,

It really starts with one person.

I just saw on Facebook,

An acquaintance of mine on Facebook had said that she was the product,

Not the product.

She was the receiver of a pay it forward when she was in line at Dunkin Donuts and somebody had paid for her coffee and she just said that I paid it forward and I paid for the person behind me.

So it just goes to show you,

It takes one person to start that smile.

It takes one person to spread that joy and it reminds other people like how good it feels to give,

But then also to how good it feels to receive.

So take that energy in for these next couple weeks.

You know,

Play,

Laugh,

You know,
