Welcome,

Find a comfortable place where you can sit or lie down with ease,

Allow your body to settle,

Close your eyes gently and take a slow deep breath in and a long breath out.

Feel the ground beneath you steady and supportive,

With each breath imagine yourself softening,

Letting go of the outside world and gently turning inward.

This is your time,

This is your safe place,

This is you coming home to yourself.

Breathe in deeply once more and as you breathe out release any tension you feel in your body,

Let your shoulders drop,

Your jaw unclench,

Your hands rest loosely.

Now bring awareness to your heart,

Imagine a soft warm light there,

Glowing quietly,

Steadily.

This is the center of you,

The part of you that has always been here,

Waiting for you to return.

With each inhale imagine that light growing a little stronger,

A little warmer,

Filling your chest with a gentle comfort.

As you sit with this feeling,

Silently repeat to yourself,

I am home within myself,

I am safe here,

I am whole.

Let those words settle into your being,

Maybe emotions arise,

Gratitude,

Sadness,

Hope,

Peace,

Whatever you feel,

Allow it,

There is no right or wrong,

There is only you,

Exactly as you are,

Exactly as you need to be.

If your mind drifts,

Gently come back to your breath and to the steady warmth within your heart.

You are not lost,

You are not broken,

You are here,

Breathing,

Feeling,

Coming home.

Rest here for a few more breaths,

Soaking in the peace of simply being with yourself.

When you feel ready,

Gently begin to deepen your breathing,

Wiggle your fingers and toes,

And when you open your eyes,

Carry this feeling with you into the rest of your day.

You can return home to yourself at any time,

It's only ever a breath away.
