Inner peace is always just a breath away and through this meditation we will tap into that well of tranquility within.
Let's begin by finding a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down and gently close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and slowly exhale through your mouth.
Feel your body begin to relax with each breath.
As you settle into this moment,
Begin by focusing on your breath.
Simply observe it without judgment.
Notice the gentle rise and fall of your chest.
The coolness of the air as it enters your nostrils and the warmth as it leaves.
Allow each breath to soften and calm you.
Imagine a warm golden light shining above you.
This light is full of peace and calm,
Radiating a gentle warmth.
As you breathe,
Visualize this light slowly descending towards you.
When it reaches the crown of your head,
Feel its warmth and peaceful energy begin to flow into your body.
With each breath,
This soothing light moves down,
Relaxing your scalp,
Your forehead,
Your eyes and your cheeks.
Feel it soften any tension in your jaw and neck.
Allow this light to travel into your shoulders,
Releasing any weight or burden you might be carrying.
Breathe deeply and feel this calming energy flow through your arms,
Down into your hands and fingertips,
Bringing with it a sense of ease and relaxation.
Let this peaceful light move into your chest and heart space,
Expanding your breath and filling your entire chest with warmth and calm.
With each inhale,
Invite more peace in.
With each exhale,
Let go of any stress or worries.
Now,
Visualize the light moving down into your abdomen,
Releasing any tension you may be holding there.
Feel your body relaxing further with each breath,
Sinking deeper into stillness and calm.
As this warm light reaches your hips,
Thighs,
Feel your entire lower body relaxing,
Becoming heavy and peaceful.
Let the light reach down to your feet,
Until your entire body is bathed in this golden glow of tranquility.
Take a moment to simply be.
Breathe.
To enjoy this profound sense of peace that now flows through your body.
You are safe.
You are calm.
You are at peace.
Now,
As you rest in this peaceful state,
Silently repeat the following affirmations to yourself.
I am grounded,
Centered,
And at peace.
I release all tension and invite tranquility into my life.
Inner peace is my natural state.
I carry this calm energy with me wherever I go.
Repeat these affirmations a few times in your mind,
Allowing that energy to settle into your heart.
When you're ready,
Begin to bring your awareness back to your breath.
Feel the natural rhythm of your inhale and exhale.
Begin to gently wiggle your fingers and toes,
Reconnecting with the present moment.
Take one more deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Slowly open your eyes.
Feel this sense of calm,
Of inner peace,
Still with you.
Know that you can return to this place of tranquility anytime.
Simply by tuning into your breath and your inner light.
