True forgiveness isn’t about condoning—it’s about freeing yourself. In this heart-healing meditation, your Mermaid Guide will help you release the emotional ties that still bind you to past lovers, painful memories, and versions of yourself you’ve outgrown. As you open to the energy of the sea, you’ll activate the forgiveness process and reclaim the peace, clarity, and lightness that come from letting go. This is your invitation to stop carrying what no longer serves you and make space for the love you deserve.

As your mind gets still and your body relaxed,

Allow yourself to return to the idyllic beach location we've left off in the previous meditation.

You're still underwater,

Holding hands with your mermaid guide after you've successfully allowed yourself to be vulnerable and released a great deal of suppressed emotions from past relationships.

In this meditation,

You'll get to experience an even deeper level of healing by working on forgiveness.

Unlike what most people may think,

Forgiveness has nothing to do with accepting or condoning someone else's actions.

On the other hand,

It's about loving yourself enough to release resentment for a person or experience that's preventing you from being happy now.

The two basic requirements to forgiving anyone and anything is first,

Your willingness to forgive them,

And second,

Having the courage to express your true feelings about what happened towards yourself and towards the other person.

As soon as you're ready to venture in this new journey,

Your mermaid guide takes you by the hand and invites you to explore the ocean together.

Although a bit hesitant at first,

You trust her and make the courageous plunge.

Side by side,

You swim together into an underwater playground.

You pass through caves,

Rock forms,

And colorful coral reefs,

Surrounded by plants and fish of every shape and color.

The deeper you swim,

The darker the water gets,

Until there comes a point when it's so dark you can barely see your own hands.

And just before you start panicking,

There's light.

Light everywhere.

Strong light.

Dazzling light.

So much light that all you can see is light.

All you can hear is light.

All you can feel is light.

Light feels like peace.

It feels like happiness.

It feels like love.

And so do you.

You feel peaceful,

Happy,

And in total unconditional love.

Gradually,

As the light finally begins to disperse,

You find yourself swimming in a whole new world.

The first thing you can see is a very bizarre,

Yet incredibly beautiful building made out of gigantic,

Colorful globes clustered together in what seems to be a palace.

It's surrounded by underwater houses,

Streets,

And mermaids.

Lots of mermaids.

There are mermaids everywhere.

It looks like you found yourself in the mermaid kingdom.

The powerhouse of the ocean.

The home of collective unconsciousness.

And where the depth of your unconscious emotions can be accessed.

While you want to stay and explore the mermaid kingdom,

There's work to do.

And your mermaid guides you straight into the globe palace.

As you swim through the front entrance,

You enter into a large circular hallway,

Welcomed by mermaids and mermen waving at you and congratulating you for having the courage to go through this journey.

As you swim through rooms,

Hallways,

And passageways,

And go down staircases to the depth of the palace,

You finally reach a cave that looks unlike any cave you've ever seen.

This cave is completely made out of crystals of all shapes and colors,

Emitting a powerful aura of white light that you know holds the space for healing to take place,

And makes the cave feel safe and inviting.

In the center of the cave there is a tall,

Flat,

Clear quartz table.

As you make your way towards it,

You notice that on it lay a number of closed oyster shells.

Take a look at the oysters and count them.

How many do you see?

These oysters represent the number of people from your past and relating to your love life that you currently hold resentment towards,

And therefore need to forgive.

These people could be past lovers,

Friends,

Teachers,

Parents,

Or anyone who has contributed to you being hurt in a relationship,

Including a version of yourself.

Although you've released some general emotional heartache in the previous meditation,

This is your chance to focus on specific people and relationships,

And experience a deeper level of healing.

By forgiving these people,

You'll finally free yourself from resentful emotions that hold you hostage,

And prevent you from moving on with your love life.

Your mermaid guide takes the first oyster and hands it to you.

As soon as you open the oyster,

You are presented with the first person you need to forgive.

Ask yourself the following questions.

How did this person hurt me?

How do I feel as a result of that?

Take some time now to mentally express all that you feel towards this person.

Don't hold anything back.

This is honesty time.

Let it all out.

When you're done venting,

Look at the other person in the eyes and say,

I am willing to forgive you.

And with that,

Grab good hold of the oyster and crush it with your hand.

Doing this activates the forgiveness process.

It lets the universe know that you are ready and willing to let this person go.

It invites the universe to bring you the right set of tools,

Processes,

And circumstances,

Which will allow you to find true forgiveness.

Breathe.

Let your mermaid guide guide you through the rest of the oysters.

As you open each oyster,

Bring to your mind how each particular person hurt you.

Let yourself feel and express that hurt towards them.

And when you're done,

Say,

I am willing to forgive you and crush the oyster.

Even if you don't want to forgive them,

Remind yourself that forgiving them is a selfish act to help yourself move forward and say the words anyway.

Take some time now to go through all the oysters.

When you're done oyster crushing,

Take a long deep breath in and allow yourself to adjust to this new state.

You've done great work today and you need time to process it all.

Your mermaid guide is incredibly proud of you.

She stands facing you and surrounds you in an aura of green blue light,

Which seeps through your body and helps you heal.

Allow yourself to bask in this light and feel it surrounding you even after you're done with this meditation.

Ask the light to stay with you for as long as you need it to heal you and guide your forgiveness journey.

Slowly start easing your way back to the present moment now.

Start by making small movements with your hands and wrists.

Move your head around clockwise and anticlockwise.

And when you're ready,

Take a long deep breath in,

Hold it,

Smile.

Open your eyes and release.
