
The Island Guided Meditation
A guided mediation to help you to unwind and relax.
Transcript
So you had a very busy day today,
Rushing around,
Things may have been a little hectic,
No time for yourself,
No me time,
Your mind may be a little cluttered,
Your body a little stressed,
A little tense maybe.
So how about we take some time to relax,
Some time to let your mind calm down,
To help your tense muscles to relax.
Does that sound good?
Okay find a nice quiet place,
Somewhere where you can have a little time alone,
Somewhere where you are unlikely to be disturbed and I invite you to either lay down or sit down,
It doesn't really matter.
Now close your eyes and just notice,
Notice what is happening,
Your breathing,
Your chest rising and falling,
Thoughts coming and going,
Sounds happening.
Notice how everything falls into place when you just let it be,
You don't have to do a thing,
Everything is just happening.
Because everything is okay and notice the silence.
When you notice the silence you notice what you are,
The silent space in which everything happens,
Your natural way of being,
You are already at peace,
You don't have to strive to achieve peace,
It's already here,
It's you.
Now we are going to use your imagination,
Your amazing imagination,
Imagine an island,
Your very own tropical island,
Can you see it?
See the golden sand,
The palm trees,
The clear blue water,
So pretty,
So perfect and peaceful.
Now feel the sunlight on your face and your body,
Murataw on green egg tannof and feel how good it feels,
How warm it is,
How soothing and listen to the sounds,
Just listen,
The waves very gently coming home to the shore,
A cool breeze blowing,
Everything in sync,
Arising in your awareness and notice how you are not separate from it,
Not separate from at all,
The feelings,
The sounds,
The sights,
The wholeness,
Everything is you,
Tathu Gakrat and you are everything,
Your natural state is so easy to recognize in this place,
In this beautiful island.
Now as you walk,
Feel the warm sand under your bare feet,
Feel how good it feels as you walk towards the water,
Just strolling because there is no rush,
No need to be anywhere to get any place,
No time,
No responsibility,
Just you walk into the water and you reach it and put your feet in,
Doesn't it feel good,
Look at it,
Look at the soft broken waves addressing and soothing your feet,
The simplicity,
The ease,
The wonder of it all and after a while you turn back towards the beach again,
Towards the hammock that is suspended between two palm trees,
So inviting,
It's calling you and as you lay in it,
Feel it underneath you,
Holding you,
Supporting you,
There is no need to hold on,
Just relax into it,
There is no end to how much you can relax,
With every gentle breath you sink further and further into relaxed being,
Into the surroundings and the body until all there is is the sound of waves,
The wind gently blowing.
Gently bring your attention to it all,
There is no need to try,
Just notice it,
Notice it all happening in this moment,
Right here,
Right now and it's okay to fall asleep and it's okay just to lay there without a care in the world and it's okay to get up and walk back to the water because there are no rules,
No limits in this wonder,
The wonder of you,
The place where you can revisit anytime you want.

Holy Jesus. I already thought this man's voice was sexy as hell, and then he spoke in Irish and I was *gone*. Beyond that though, I could totally see myself falling asleep listening to this meditative exercise. ๐ Thank you!

OMGoodness this is an amazing meditation. I saw and felt myself in my bed and my bed was on the beach. I am so relaxed. The voice and sounds were like calming music to my ears. Thank you!!!
