Losing your inner guidance system can make you feel unclear, lost, or out of touch with your needs, desires, and feelings. When you feel disconnected from your core nature, you might be confused about who you are, what you want in life, and where your enthusiasm for life went. Fear of making the wrong choices can be a trap of polarized thinking. These “black-and-white” thoughts can make you lose confidence in your own abilities, fueling anxiety and guilt, and cause sleeping difficulties.
Your inner guidance system gives you everything you need to make decisions, trust yourself, and take positive steps toward changing your life. Taking back your personal power involves quieting the self-judgments that keep you second-guessing and seeking other people’s validation. Knowing who you are can get covered up by external influences such as comparison and societal expectations, people-pleasing and codependent relationships, or traumas that create self-doubt and low self-esteem.
Taking back your inner guidance is a process of tuning in to your thoughts, interpreting them, and deciding which ones to filter out and which ones to follow. This course helps you understand four types of thoughts so you can practice genuine self-care, better meet your needs, and trust yourself more. By engaging in small practices that help you feel better you can take away the distraction of physical and mental discomfort, and your inner voice can be heard. Each lesson offers two journal prompts so you can apply the ideas to your personal life and the process of reconnecting to your inner guidance system.
This course may be especially helpful for anyone struggling with codependency, people-pleasing tendencies, comparison, or meeting external expectations, but is not intended as therapy or treatment from a mental health professional. This course is designed as a mindful exploration of your thoughts to help you overcome the confusion and feel more fulfilled so you can know and love yourself again.

Leçon 1
Your Inner Guidance System
Losing your inner guidance can be a slow process of gradually changing the way you see yourself, often letting other people define you. It can show up as not fully trusting yourself, putting too much weight into what other people think, sacrificing your own needs while overachieving, or giving in to someone else's expectations, beliefs, and opinions. Your personal power comes from your sense of self, the mindset of having a positive vision of who you are.
Leçon 2
Instinctive Thoughts
Instinctive thoughts come from your first-reaction tendencies before your brain has a chance to analyze what's happening. They are based on subconscious information stored in your brain. Remembering that our feelings reflect our thoughts, and not our reality, can help you determine if instinctive thinking is serving your highest purpose in the moment.
Leçon 3
Intrusive Thoughts
Intrusive thoughts tend to create worry, stress, and anxiety. The random fear-inducing thoughts can feel like a persistent voice in your head, taking up your mental space and making it hard to focus. Intrusive thoughts come from an insecure and fearful version of yourself that is trying to protect you by looking for problems by thinking of a wide range of possibilities so you can be prepared and adapt.
Leçon 4
Intuitive Thoughts
Intuition comes from your learned insights and accumulated wisdom. It’s your calm and gentle inner voice, giving you constructive guidance from your highest self. Developing your intuition comes from your self-awareness and being able to learn from your experiences. Every time you reflect and look for new insights from the situations you encounter, the more you enhance your intuition.
Leçon 5
Intentional Thoughts
Intentional thinking directs your thoughts and energy in a particular way by actively choosing to think about a topic or take a certain perspective. As a practice, setting intentions gives you a positive focus, which can create a sense of healthy control over your experience and responsibility for your life. Being more intentional with your thoughts reduces your emotional reactivity so you can be more purposeful with your words, actions, and habits.
