I invite you to find a calm,
Quiet space so you are able to drop in to this visualization in balancing practice.
We are going to utilize the power of the imagination connecting to our breath to locate this inner place of peace.
This space of peace that we can draw from like a well.
Nourishing our soul with relaxation and ease.
As you begin to breathe in through the nose,
Imagining this breath being fused with a healing colored light.
Everywhere this healing light touches,
Peace follows.
You feel any tension in the muscles begin to melt away.
Your breathing begins to drop from the chest into the low belly.
You are now comfortable,
Relaxed,
And filled with ease.
You are about to embark on a grand adventure,
Leading with curiosity,
Play,
And discovery.
Maybe you're traveling somewhere you've been before,
Or maybe you're about to explore somewhere new entirely.
One thing remains the same,
That this deep well of peace that is available at the center of your being is with you anywhere you go.
You cannot be separated from this peace because it resides within you,
Despite any outside circumstances.
As you allow that truth to resonate in your body,
In your mind,
In your spirit,
You find that you can fall even deeper into this place of peace.
We're going to begin to use the power of the imagination to visualize the start of this grand adventure.
Begin seeing yourself now preparing for your trip,
Reviewing any of your packing,
Seeing yourself go through all of the motions of preparation,
Placing your items in your suitcase,
Noticing how easeful it is to check that everything is in order.
You feel confident,
Relaxed,
And ready for this exploration.
See yourself now placing that luggage in the car,
Preparing to take the metro or transportation to the airport.
You are relaxed,
Comfortable,
You have your ticket,
Your passport,
Your identification,
And you're ready to go to the airport.
Because you remain connected to this deep place of ease,
This well of peace within your center core.
You begin your travel and you are still at ease.
You are calm and secure.
You begin to make your way through the airport as you check any bags into baggage claim.
Everything is going smoothly.
In fact,
Any bumps in the road that you may have come in contact with,
You find they don't affect you as deeply because you connect to your breath in those moments and you can feel that well of peace,
That relaxation flowing throughout your body like calming water.
The next stop in our adventure is the security checkpoint.
This procedure reminds you that the airport is concerned for your safety and that they are protecting you.
As you begin to empty your pockets and removing any jewelry,
You begin to walk through the arches.
The procedure as it unfolds reminds you that they are being careful with all their passengers and you feel a gratitude for their care,
Allowing you to feel comfortable,
Safe and secure.
Next,
I'd like you to imagine yourself going to the gate area.
If you haven't already checked in online,
This is where you will check in for your flight.
Approaching the gate,
The attendant at the counter verifies their records,
Providing you your seat assignment.
This procedure is normal.
Hundreds of thousands of people go through these procedures every day.
You begin to notice you still feel comfortable.
A few minutes prior to the flight time,
They begin to board the plane.
You listen carefully to the announcement of when you can board and you begin to join the line.
Seeing yourself feeling quite comfortable during the entire boarding process,
You have your boarding pass ready and you are ready to go.
You easily find your row and seat on the plane and make yourself comfortable,
Taking out any books,
Journals,
Entertainment that you are going to be using during the flight.
You look around,
Seeing all the staff that's here to support you.
Before the plane begins for takeoff,
You are reminded that the pilot is deeply trained.
In fact,
There are always at least two members of the crew in the cockpit for the duration of the flight.
You have a whole team of support around you from the flight attendants to the pilots that are professionally trained with extensive experience.
All the air traffic controllers on the ground are in their place for takeoff.
You are safe here,
At ease,
And connected to that deep well of peace in the center of your being that is always with you.
The plane begins to accelerate and you are still connected to this peace.
You begin to think about how the plane is similar to a car,
It has wheels and windows.
The pilot is just as comfortable in flying the plane as you are driving your car to your local store.
You receive a deep breath into the low belly and relax into your seat.
For the remainder of your flight,
You are continually reminded that you are safe here.
You are free to read your book,
To move about,
To recline into your seat and go into a deep,
Deep state of relaxation.
When it is time for you to land,
You will need to have your seat back upright,
Your tray table in its stored position,
And your personal belongings either in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you.
Remember that the flight attendant is there to help you if you need it.
You have support all around you.
Begin to imagine yourself staying comfortable and calm as you begin the descent and landing.
See yourself at the end of your journey,
Relaxed,
Delighted at this experience and proud of yourself for staying connected to this deep well of peace.
The attendants begin to say goodbye as you leave the plane.
You are in complete control of your emotions,
Your behaviors and reactions.
You see yourself now getting off the plane and retrieving your luggage from baggage claim.
You have arrived,
And this journey has just begun.
Adventure is here greeting you with open arms,
And you are safe.
