Hi and welcome to this guided meditation by Marianne Love.

Listen to this recording to take time away from the busy chatter of the mind and connect to the truth of your heart.

This meditation will help you soften the tightness that we hold around our heart space and gently releasing its grip.

In this practice we will be guided by our precious hearts.

So lay yourself peacefully onto the ground or ease yourself into a comfortable chair.

Allow the eyelids to gently soften down and notice any areas of the body that need to soften.

Now rolling your shoulders open to invite an opening of the heart space.

Spread your collarbones wide opening up the space that holds your heart.

Now letting these words soak into your being.

One hand on your heart and placing one hand on your belly.

Feeling the contact with the heart is already allowing the heart space to soften and then begin to breathe into the hands.

A gentle inhale,

A gentle exhale.

Feeling the gentle rise and fall of the heart space and your heart still beats without any effort.

So let it slow down and rest for a while.

Imagine your shoulder blades melting down your back,

Tenderly holding your heart from the back and as you breathe into your hands imagine that there is a flower in the center of your heart.

As you breathe in the flower lightly unfurls and opens and as you breathe out the petals lightly close.

Breathing in the petals gently open.

Breathing out the petals gently close and continue to breathe imagining this gentle unfurling and closing around the heart and as you breathe into the heart allowing a warmth to be received.

The heart opens to accept and receive love and it also closes to receive and absorb this feeling of love.

Imagining the warmth of the heart as you inhale and the gentle absorption on the exhale.

Inhale to open,

Exhale to close.

Notice what it feels like for your heart to be contented,

To be warm and to be softened and let these feelings of warmth begin to radiate and fill your whole body and mind and as you breathe this heartfelt breath imagine that the heart energy flows and softens into all other areas of the body.

The belly,

The arms,

The legs.

Notice the calming effect that this breath has on the body and bathe in this moment.

Luxuriate in the warmth that your heart has given you.

Remembering that we can always return back to the warmth of our heart space.

Holding your hand gently in your heart and bowing your head gently down towards your heart space.

Thank you and namaste.
