Hi,
I'm Lisa and welcome in.
Today we're going to gently soothe your nervous system and allow your body and mind to deeply relax in Shavasana.
This is a safe space for you to release tension,
Quiet your thoughts and come home to your own breath.
Wherever you are listening,
Take a moment to settle in and give yourself permission to rest.
I invite you to lie all the way down comfortably on your back.
Allow the arms to be relaxed at your side,
A little bit away from the body with the palms facing up.
Softly close the eyes as you allow the feet to fall naturally apart.
Let's begin with a deep,
Slow breath,
Inhaling through the nose and allow the exhale to come out of the mouth,
Softening with each breath.
Again,
A deep breath in and a calming breath out.
Then begin to notice the breath moving in through the body and moving out of the body through the nose.
Notice your body making contact with the earth,
Feeling the support beneath you.
With each exhale,
Letting go a little more,
Allowing the shoulders to soften,
Relaxing the jaw,
And allowing your belly to relax.
Feeling the backs of the arms resting on the floor,
The whole spine,
As the legs begin to soften,
And releasing any tension in the feet.
Feeling the body begin to become a little bit heavier with this support.
Imagine a warm,
Calming wave of light flowing from the crown of your head,
Moving into the body,
And with each breath,
This light melts away tension,
Anxiety,
And stress.
You can feel the warmth of this light relaxing the forehead as the temples soften.
Moving down for the chest,
The shoulders drop,
Your arms relax completely,
Your chest opens,
Your heart softens.
You feel the light moving down,
Letting your legs and feet become heavy and completely relaxed,
Sinking even deeper into the support beneath you.
You feel the light moving down through the legs,
Down to the feet,
And now the whole body is illuminated with this wave of calming light.
It is safe to rest here.
Your body knows how to restore itself.
Inhale.
Allow your nervous system to find ease as you rest.
With every inhale,
Slowly inviting calm.
Exhaling fully.
Imagining every exhale carrying away all stress,
All worry,
All fatigue.
Picturing yourself in a safe,
Peaceful place Feeling the air,
Feeling the warm sunlight,
And the gentle rhythm of your own breathing.
I am peace.
I am safe.
I am resting now.
Begin to deepen your breath,
Breathing into your heart space.
Gently wiggle your fingers,
Your toes,
And slowly bending the right knee,
Planting the right foot on the earth.
Bending the left knee,
Planting the left foot on the earth.
When you are ready,
Rolling to one side,
Bringing your knees into your chest,
And coming into this fetal position,
Resting for a moment.
Experiencing a new beginning.
Take a deep gestational breath into the body.
As you exhale,
Slowly with intention,
Press up to a seated position.
Sitting comfortably.
Resting your palms on your legs for a moment.
Allowing yourself to experience this calm,
This ease.
Taking it with you into the rest of your day or evening.
Slowly bring your palms right over your heartbeat.
Remembering you can return to this peace anytime you need.
Planting this mantra into your heart.
I am safe.
I am supported.
I release what no longer serves me and return to my calm center.
Take a deep breath in.
Easy exhale out of the mouth.
Thank you so much for trusting me to guide your practice.
Om Shanti Peace.
Peace,
Peace,
Peace be with you always.
