Welcome.
This is a guided grounding meditation.
An opportunity for you to deeply relax,
Rest,
And to ground into yourself and into the earth.
Make sure you have a comfortable space to sit or lie down.
Let us begin.
I invite you to close your eyes as you begin your journey inward.
Bring your awareness to the weight of your body resting against your seat or bed which is connected to the earth.
Allow yourself to soften your body and release tension as you enter this safe and sacred space of relaxation and meditation.
I invite you to turn your awareness to your breath.
Become aware of the rising and falling of your chest and belly.
Our breath is our life source.
It is what keeps us alive.
It's one of our greatest healing tools.
So take a moment to just enjoy the process of breathing.
Feeling the air enter in through your nose and lungs to nourish you and the air leaving your body cleansing you from the inside out.
Now I invite you to bring your consciousness to your breath and begin to breathe even deeper into your belly.
Feel your lungs,
Rib cage and belly expand as you inhale and exhale on an audible sigh.
This is your cleansing breath.
And when you exhale on a sigh,
The sound and vibration activates your vagus nerve which stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system which allows you to leave a state of fight,
Flight or freeze and enter into a state of rest and digest.
So breathing in deeper each time and exhaling on a sigh.
Breathing in and exhaling.
Taking in oxygen and releasing.
Deepening your breath into your lower belly and slowly exhaling on that sigh.
Breathing in and exhale.
Continuing this cycle of breathing to allow you to let go and relax.
Every breath allows you to drop deeper into a state of relaxation.
I invite you to place one hand on your heart and one hand on your lower belly.
Take a moment to connect to your body.
To come home to your body.
So much of life takes us out and away from connecting to this sacred and safe place.
So take a moment to return home to yourself.
Honor the elements within you.
The earth in your bones.
The water in your blood.
The air in your lungs.
And the fire of your spirit.
Let's take another deep cleansing breath in and exhaling on that sigh.
The intention for today's meditation is for grounding.
To connect deeply into yourself,
To your roots,
And to ground into the power of the earth.
So now I invite you to journey deep into the earth.
I invite you to envision that there is a cord or an anchor that is tethered to your core.
Drop this cord or anchor from the base of your spine,
Through the floor of your home,
Down through the foundation of the building,
Deep into the soil where the earthworms and plants reside.
Deep down past the earth's crust.
Dropping down into the earth's mantle.
Dropping down into the outer core.
Descending down,
Down,
Down into the molten hot fiery inner core of the earth.
Connect to this primordial earthen fire that is at the center of this planet we call home.
Enjoy the glow and the warmth of the center of the earth.
Feel your gravitational pull to this center.
And if you feel called,
I invite you to call upon anything that you might be carrying that no longer serves you and offer this weight to the fire.
Give this fire your grief,
Your rage,
Your sadness,
Your stress,
Your fear of the unknown,
Your past traumas,
Your loneliness.
And offer these as sacred gifts to the center of the earth.
These fires will transmute your sacred gifts,
Burning away what no longer serves you and transforming them into pure,
Grounded life source energy.
There is nothing that these fires cannot handle.
So feel free to release any bit of your darkness,
And trusting it will be transformed into light.
Now that you have released your offerings,
I invite you to gather this warm,
Rejuvenating energy from the center of the earth and send it back up your cord or your anchor,
Drawing the energy upward into the outer core,
Back up through the earth's mantle,
Back up through the crust,
Through your building's foundation,
Through the floor,
And back up into your core.
Maybe there is a color associated with this deep earth energy.
Allow this energy to surge through your legs,
Your pelvis,
Circling and spiraling through your torso into your heart,
Surging out through your arms and fingertips,
Filling up into your neck and head.
Feel this energy filling you,
Healing you,
Connecting you to the deep fiery core of the earth.
Enjoy the sensations of being filled with healing,
Grounded energy directly from the center of the earth.
You are safe.
You are grounded.
You are sturdy.
You are protected.
You are whole.
Continue to allow yourself to drop deeper and ground into the earth and into yourself.
And now,
You can begin to deepen your breath again,
Allowing yourself to slowly return back into the here and now,
Back into your room,
Back into your body.
You can gently wiggle your fingers and toes,
Maybe gently patting or squeezing your arms and legs,
Maybe taking a big stretch.
And as you're ready,
You can slowly begin to open your eyes and take in the light.
