Hi,
This is Kathy of Bliss Yoga with Kathy,
And for meditation today,
We are going to empower you toward your success.
And to begin,
We really want to just settle into this space,
So you may want to give a little wiggle of the body,
And then choose whether you feel best in a seated position or lying down.
Get settled there.
You might also give another little shimmy to the body just to allow the muscles to release a little so that you can be still and rest in that stillness during the meditation.
And then I also want you to decide whether to soften your gaze,
Closing the eyelids slightly,
Or closing your eyes completely.
Decide which feels best for you today.
And then we'll take a few moments to just really focus on our breath,
To bring our awareness a little more inward.
Just noticing how the body responds to your inhale,
The movement of the muscles,
The bones,
The joints as we fill the lungs,
And then also noticing how the body responds as you exhale and the breath leaves the body.
You may want to count the length of your inhale and exhale.
I'm going to try to make them slow,
Steady,
And even.
So maybe counting to six as you inhale,
Counting to six as you exhale.
And if you want to calm the body,
The mind,
The spirit a little bit more,
If you're feeling the need for a little more calming energy,
Go ahead and extend that exhale just a couple seconds longer than your inhale.
This cues the nervous system to come into a very calm,
Restful state.
So I started by asking you to make a couple of decisions,
To be seated or to lie down,
And to choose whether to soften your gaze or close your eyes.
And these small decisions demonstrate that you have wisdom to recognize and know what is best for you and the agency to choose what will best serve you at any given moment.
What comes up when you consider that you are naturally wise,
Divinely gifted,
And adept at choosing your best path?
And which of those thoughts that come to mind support your self-confidence and self-trust?
So imagine collecting those self-affirming thoughts or words in a container of your choice.
And as you're collecting these thoughts and words,
Go ahead and repeat and reflect on each one as you add it to your collection.
Then imagine placing this container in a spot where you can access it easily and refer to it whenever you want to remember that you are wise,
You are talented,
And you are resourceful.
And that this combination helps lead you toward successful outcomes.
If you would like,
You can place the hands on your low belly and simply acknowledge that you can trust your deep inner knowing.
Know that your gut feeling is your body's way of assuring you that your inner wisdom can guide you toward the best and highest outcome.
Allow yourself to imagine success coming easily.
And what would that feel like?
Imagine how it will feel when you reach each new milestone along the way to that ultimate goal.
And imagine the impact that you will make along the way.
Now if you'd like,
Move the hands to rest on your heart.
Know that it is safe to pursue your dreams.
It is safe to achieve tremendous and far-reaching success,
Even if the path of that journey feels uncertain right now.
Know that you possess the resilience and knowledge to overcome any challenges along the way.
Know that not only your talents and skills,
But that you yourself are highly valuable and needed to uplift the human condition.
No one can do the work you do in the way you do.
No one can show up in the world in the unique way that you do.
And now if you'd like,
Extend the arms open at your sides in a comfortable,
Relaxed position.
And consider that your impact already stretches even further than you realize.
Be aware that you have within your body,
Mind,
And spirit the skill,
Knowledge,
And wisdom to achieve your goals.
Consider that you may expand your impact beyond what you currently think is even possible.
That you may far surpass your current goals.
What might that look like?
Recall a situation when you trusted your inner knowing,
And how did that feel?
And recall a time that trusting yourself to take a chance led you to a surprisingly pleasant outcome.
Imagine the satisfaction and fulfillment you will feel as you continue to share,
Grow,
Learn,
And receive abundance along this path you're taking.
Picture yourself providing your services to your ideal clients,
Or creating the product or service of your dreams.
And imagine hearing the success stories that your happy clients share about working with you,
Or that your customers share about what you have created and brought to them.
How it improves their life,
Improves their health or happiness,
Maybe even improves their health and well-being.
Maybe it helps them to build their own business,
Their own family,
Or helps them to make their own impact.
Allow yourself to entrust your future to your inner knowing.
When doubts creep in,
Refer to your container of words and thoughts that remind you you are naturally wise,
Divinely gifted,
And adept at choosing your best path forward.
Take a few moments now to just rest in this confidence that we've cultivated,
This self-assurance that you've tapped into,
And this belief that your inner knowing will guide you in the direction that you need to go.
Let's start to bring a little awareness back into the body.
You might wiggle the fingers and toes,
Or circle the ankles and wrists,
And take a big full stretch,
Whether you're lying down or seated,
Reaching the arms up overhead,
And just gently moving the head from left to right,
Rocking the hips a little side to side or the upper body a little from side to side,
And then coming to rest on the breath again for just a moment as we close our practice,
Taking with you this confidence,
This self-trust,
This belief in yourself,
And as you carry it throughout your day,
See if there are ways you can share it with others that you come in contact with.
