Welcome to your meditation for finding your calling or purpose with God.
And before we begin,
I just want you to know that every single person has a calling from God.
He has a plan for you.
It centers around bringing him glory and making disciples out of his people.
But it's unique for every single person.
And this meditation is just a time to get quiet with God and start to hear his voice in your life.
I'll be reading you a few different scriptures.
To begin,
Come to a comfortable seat.
Sit bones pressing down into the ground,
The crown of your head reaching high.
Start to notice your breath in your belly.
Feeling your ribs expand with every inhale,
Your belly expand.
Then exhale,
Sigh it out.
Belly deflates,
Ribs draw down.
Just feeling your breath move in and out of your body without changing it yet.
Knowing that it's okay,
Even if you don't feel it at this moment.
Knowing that God is guiding every breath that you take.
I'm going to be reading over you a few different scriptures and invite you to have your heart soft,
Your mind open to what God has to say to you today.
Maybe one verse will stand out in particular.
And after this meditation,
I invite you to go journal it.
Dig deeper into God's word because that's where you'll find who you are.
Once you know who God is,
Then it will be clear about where God wants you to go.
James 1 5.
If any of you lacks wisdom,
Let him ask God who gives generously to all without reproach.
He will give you wisdom all without reproach and it will be given him.
Isaiah 37 26.
Have you not heard that I determined it long ago?
I plan from days of old what now I bring to pass.
First Peter 2 9.
But you are a chosen race,
A royal priesthood,
A holy nation,
A people for his own possession,
That you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness and into his marvelous light.
Colossians 1 16.
For by him all things were created in heaven and on earth,
Visible and invisible,
Whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities,
All things were created through him and for him.
Ephesians 2 10.
For we are his workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works,
Which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Psalm 57 2.
I cry out to God most high,
To God who fulfills his purpose for me.
John 15 16.
You did not choose me,
But I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give to you.
Where is God drawing his focus today?
What stands out to you?
God knows the desires of your heart.
He knows what you want and what you need.
I pray that you dream your heart out with him,
With his creativity,
Knowing that God has called you.
Don't be scared to pray to God.
He hears you and even if the answers aren't what we expect or take longer than we want,
Know that God is with you always.
He never leaves you.
It's hard to notice your breath again,
Feeling the weight of your body pushing into the ground.
Feel how heavy it is.
Feel the lightness of your head.
Notice your breath.
Does it feel relaxed and long or short?
Start to wiggle your fingers,
Coming back to this present moment.
I invite you to spend time journaling after this,
Writing out your prayers to God,
Writing out the word that he spoke to you today.
And when you look back,
You'll remember the blessings that he has given you.
You'll see the answered prayers and how far you have come with him.
Thank you for practicing with me today.
Have a blessed day.
