Have you ever heard from Russian Snow White?
If you had,
It's about time because it's pretty interesting and it's nice to compare that to the Pratas Krimno Snow White and even the earlier versions so the Russian Snow White this version that I'm going to tell you,
It comes from Eastern Russia and the story goes that there was not an evil queen,
There was the evil stepmother so the Snow White was born into a wealthy house and her mother died when she was a baby and then her mother remarried and so on,
The father died as well and the stepmother,
She was a maiden of this very wealthy house and she was very very baby and she did not have magic mirror in this Russian fairy tale and one day there was beggars who came to ask for food because they didn't have any food and the stepmother did not give them food instead she asked who is the fairest of them all and said she will kill them fully,
They tell her who is the fairest of them all,
Give her the right answer but the poor beggars they told that little baby there,
She's the prettiest of them all so the stepmother got super mad she cursed the beggars and she cursed the baby and then she abandons the baby into the forest or this kind of fence somewhere in the edge of the forest and one of the beggars older lady finds the baby and raises the child as her own and then when Snow White,
The Russian Snow White is the teenager the beggar lady dies and Snow White,
She goes wandering through the woods stepmother of this time has believed that Snow White is long gone and she is the fairest of them all,
But she's not she wanders through the woods and she finds this little house this is a house of eight brothers,
So there is no dwarves or in the Russian fairytale there are eight strong Russian men she finds this house,
There's eight pieces of everything and there's eight bloody clothes and she's like what,
What are these bloody clothes here and it turns out that the eight men,
The eight brothers they are not dwarves,
They don't work in mines they are dragon slayers and each day they go to slay dragons and they come up with they meet Snow White and they say okay you can stay for a while let's see how it goes and then one day the dragon attacks and Snow White,
She tricks the dragon she blows this massive cauldron of water and she puts some very heavy stones to the bottom of the cattle,
Cattle cattle,
Cauldron and and she learns the dragon to come inside and have some dinner with them and then she throws the water and the stones to the dragon's mouth and the dragon dies and this makes the eight brothers like Snow White even more and this pattern repeats and in the end pretty much all the dragons are dead because that's what Snow White does she slays dragons with stone cauldrons stones and cauldron and hot water and she becomes a sister to these eight brothers and so far the story is pretty entertaining but now it's about to get creepy this stepmother finds out that she is alive and she sends her a shirt that is poisoned and Snow White wears the shirt,
She doesn't know where it comes from and she dies or she falls asleep because of the poison and the brothers become really sad because the girl is so pretty and she's dead so they make a golden casket and take the casket to the forest and they mourn her and one day there is a son of a priest,
Another prince no prince is charming there but son of a priest who is walking by and riding by something and he sees this beautiful girl lying there in the golden casket so he takes the casket,
He takes the casket to his home from Snow White's adopted family,
It's quite rude in my eyes and he takes the casket to his old home and puts it to the bedroom and there he sleeps with the girl,
Like this night he sleeps with the girl with sneakophilia and very sick and then one day the son of a prince realizes this is pretty messed up which it is and he goes to see the cunning woman,
The wise woman which always around,
Old woman who knows all kinds of stuff about magic and the old woman comes and says only way to wake her up is to create a sauna here or banya like they call saunas in Russia so the whole house is heated and you know it's an old,
Really a magic to heal everything with sweat so the house is heated and the girl is not waking up,
Then the old woman realizes that the problem is the poison shirt so she cuts the poison shirt and the Snow White wakes up and is like oh it's hot here oh I've been sleeping for a week and she's very hazy after that,
Which you can imagine and the son of a priest he says oh there's no way I want to marry you but Snow White says I need to talk with my 8 brother first and ask what they think about it so she needs their blessings because they are her guardians and then this dead mother finds out that she is still alive and she's about to come and kill her but the 8 brothers they shoot the evil stepmother and Snow White thinks that they were after with her necrophilic help,

End of story well what do you think about that story?
I think that's pretty creepy,
It's a Russian version it doesn't really surprise me and this is really this folk tale inspired by the German brothers Grimm tale but if you read the Grimm version it's also very creepy as well not much difference there,
Oh the original fairies are really creepy,
Very dark pretty much,
What I wanted to say is that this Russian version,
This folk tale that really went on in mouth to mouth it was originally written again from the German fairytale by Alexander Buschkin who was a Russian writer,
Novelist and poet in the 19th century so this fairy tale,
This Russian version Snow White was written in 1830 and published because Alexander Buschkin he had written green fairy tales in French and he was very inspired by them and at the time he was a father of young children so he had a fairy tale era so he rewrote some fairy tales to Russian after his fairy tale was published it went from mouth to mouth and turned into a folk tale
