Let's get into position.
You can be seated or lying down.
Start to slow the breath.
Close your eyes or soften your gaze Settle into your body start to notice your heartbeat.
Your blood pulsing through your veins Meditation is meant to increase our awareness of something.
Sometimes we become aware of the breath.
The body.
Our thoughts.
Today.
We are expanding our awareness toward possibility.
Toward a future where humanity remembers how to live in harmony with the earth,
One another,
And ourselves.
This is not about escaping or denying our current reality.
This is about reconnecting with hope.
The hope we have inside of all of us.
The optimism,
The knowledge,
That humans are capable of incredible things.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in.
Gentle exhale.
Release the brow.
Relax the jaw.
Let your shoulders soften There is nowhere else you need to be.
Than right now.
Start to imagine yourself walking through a city of the future.
But this city is not gray.
Concrete,
Steel.
Cold.
It feels warm.
And alive.
Sunlight reflects against buildings covered in greenery.
Vines stretch across balconies.
Trees grow from rooftops.
Pollinator gardens line the pathways.
You hear water flowing nearby.
Birdsong echoes between buildings.
You take a breath in.
The air feels clean.
Gone are the days of smog and pollution.
Technology exists here.
But instead of replacing humans,
It works alongside us.
We are a team.
Solar panels shimmer softly overhead Public transportation moves silently.
Energy is gathered from the sun,
Wind,
And water.
Nothing feels rushed.
We take only what we need.
Nothing feels extractive You notice that hustle and bustle you always tend to expect in a city is different.
People are moving more slowly.
Greeting one another.
Helping one another.
No one seems trapped in a constant state of urgency,
Overwhelm,
And stress.
There is space for rest.
Space for connection.
Space for creativity.
As you continue walking,
You arrive at a community garden.
Neighbors of all ages are tending vegetables,
Herbs and flowers together.
Children laugh nearby.
Elders sit in the shade sharing stories.
You notice you don't really hear the word,
Mine.
Everything is ours.
This future was not created through domination,
Ownership,
Destruction,
And control.
It was created through understanding.
Uniting in our shared goals.
To put food on the table and make sure our kids have it better than we did.
You take a slow breath.
Let it go Feel yourself receiving this possibility.
Now imagine a beautiful communal building.
The architecture blends natural wood,
Glass,
Plants,
And flowing water.
Inside are therapists,
Healers,
Scientists,
Artists,
Politicians,
Spiritual teachers,
Doctors,
And caregivers,
All working together.
In this future.
Expertise and knowledge are valued.
And difference of opinion exists with respect.
You notice how safe your body feels here.
Not because suffering no longer exists,
But because care exists.
Support exists.
Connection exists.
We interact with humans again,
Not just corporations.
Take a moment to imagine the future version of yourself living in this world.
Notice how you carry yourself.
Notice the thoughts you might be having in this city.
Notice the sensations you might be having.
This version of you has not become perfect,
But they have become more connected,
More grounded,
More trusting,
More present Imagine sitting beside this future self.
You asked them.
What helped you heal?
What helped you stay hopeful?
What helped you release fear.
And believe in your fellow human again.
Allow whatever arises to arise.
Now imagine your future self placing a hand over your heart.
You hear them say,
We remembered that we are a part of Earth.
We stopped treating nature as something to own.
Destroy.
Conquer.
Take for ourselves and our own benefit.
We remembered that we are a part of life,
Not separate from it.
And we remembered what an incredible miracle this little blue planet is.
We remembered we have to protect and preserve it.
Feel those words settling into the body Take another slow breath.
Look around once more at this regenerative city.
Notice the beauty,
The cooperation,
The sunlight.
The gardens.
The peace.
Remember.
Every small act contributes to this future.
Every moment you hold the door for someone.
Every moment you smile at a stranger.
Every moment you give someone the benefit of the doubt Begin slowly returning to the breath.
Return to the body.
You can blink your eyes open.
Bring your awareness back to the room.
And carry this vision with you.
Not as fantasy.
Not as a distant daydream.
But as a real possibility.
For our shared future.
