Welcome to Take A5,
A collection of short five-minute meditations dedicated to create a brief yet meaningful pause in your day.
Give yourself this gift of rest,
Resilience,
Renewal,
And presence whenever you need it most.
Take a moment to fully arrive.
Getting settled Allowing your body to find a comfortable seated or lying down position There is nothing that you need to solve for the next few minutes.
No decisions.
No planning.
No fixing.
Just being here in this moment.
If it's available to you,
Allow your eyes to close down.
And let's begin by taking a breath in through the nose.
And gently sign it out.
Notice for a moment where your body is being supported.
Feel the surface beneath you.
The simple fact that in this moment,
You are held.
Without changing anything,
Take notes of how you are breathing.
Perhaps it's fast.
Perhaps it's shallow.
And that's okay for this moment.
Just simply notice it.
Breathing in again through the nose.
And with each exhale,
Imagine releasing just 1% of the tension that you've been carrying.
No dramatic shift.
Just one percent.
And again.
Softening your shoulders.
Relaxing your jaw.
On clenching your hands.
Your nervous system is constantly asking one question.
Am I safe?
And for these next few moments,
You can gently answer.
Right now,
I am.
You know,
Life isn't perfect.
Not that life is perfect.
Not that every problem has disappeared.
And in this breath,
You are safe enough to pause.
In your mind's eye,
Imagine standing beside a quiet lake early in the morning.
The surface may have ripples,
But underneath,
The water is still.
This can be reflective of your mind.
Thoughts may continue moving across the surface and you don't have to chase them.
And you don't have to stop them.
Simply observe them drift by like leaves floating downstream.
Taking another inhale through the nose And each exhale creating just a little more space,
A little more ease.
And notice now how your body feels compared to just a few moments ago.
Even if the change is subtle,
It matters.
And this is what calm often looks like.
Just a small return to yourself Taking one final slow breath in together.
And a long gentle breath out.
My name is Eric.
Be well and be inspired.
Namaste.
