Hello there,
I'm Erin Newman and this meditation is designed to allow you to gently fall into a deep,
Comfortable sleep.
If you haven't already,
Starting to close your eyes,
Allowing your eyelids to begin to feel droopy,
Drowsy,
Almost as if you can't quite open them,
And taking some long,
Slow,
Deep breaths as you begin to settle into your bed,
Allowing your breath to begin to guide you into a deep state of relaxation,
Of letting go,
Of knowing that there's nothing you need to do,
There's nowhere you have to be,
And as thoughts arise in your mind,
You can allow them to simply drift.
As you continue to take some long,
Slow,
Deep breaths,
You can feel your body along the length of the bed,
And allow yourself to do less work,
To do less of the work of holding your body together,
Of holding any tension,
Imagining if you can,
Warm,
Relaxing energy being poured gently over you,
Starting with the crown of your head,
Feeling the skin around the crown of your head begin to soften,
Any tightness or tension in your crown to gently let go,
Allowing the muscles in your forehead to soften,
The muscles around your eyebrows between your eyes to become more relaxed,
And feeling that gentle,
Relaxing energy moving down around your ears,
Softening now your jaw and tongue,
Letting go as you feel that relaxing energy moving into your neck and shoulders,
Letting your shoulders drop completely,
And feeling that relaxing energy moving down your spine,
Noticing the length of your spine on the bed,
Feeling on your next exhalation how the breath can simply let go as you settle down even more,
Feeling your hips relaxing,
And that warm,
Relaxing energy moving down the backs of your legs,
And all the way down to the soles of your feet,
Becoming even more relaxed,
Even more at ease,
As any tension completely leaves your body,
Letting yourself go with every exhalation,
Feeling your belly expand and gently fall,
Allowing your body to sink even more deeply,
And now seeing a set of 20 imaginary stairs before you,
And as we go down each of these stairs together,
You'll find yourself relaxing even more,
Letting go even more,
As these stairs guide you to a beautiful space in nature,
And each step,
You sink twice as deeply into relaxation as the stair before.
20.
Feeling so relaxed.
19.
Twice as deep.
18.
17.
You're feeling even sleepier.
16.
Letting go.
15.
Allowing yourself to drift.
14.
Completely at ease.
13.
There's nothing for you to do.
12.
11.
10.
Your breath is rising and falling gently.
4.
Everything is soft.
3.
Everything is supported.
2.
Your body knows.
1.
Finding yourself now in this beautiful space in nature,
And creating for yourself a space where you're entirely safe,
Where nothing is required,
Nothing is expected,
Your body feels entirely at ease,
Entirely warm.
You can simply drift,
Allowing your body to rest,
