
Connecting To Your Intuition Meditation
This is a 10-minute guided meditation that introduces you to the four clairs of intuition: clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, and claircognisance. The key to connecting with your intuition is being open to receiving guidance through all or any of these clairs. You can use this meditation with a specific question in mind or simply to ask for guidance that best serves you on this day.

Hello and welcome to this meditation.
I'm Erica Cassidy.
If you haven't already,
Find somewhere comfortable where you can switch off and relax without being interrupted for the next 10 minutes.
If you have a cat,
I strongly suggest you put them in another room.
Cats often sense when there's something spiritual going on and become extra curious or smoochy,
Which is lovely but really distracting.
There are two ways you can use this meditation.
You can have a specific question in mind that you would like guidance on,
Such as,
What should I do about that job offer?
Or,
Why is my child suddenly wakeful every night?
Open ended questions are better than yes or no,
And also try to avoid prying questions.
What can I do to support my friend Liz is better than,
I think Liz and her husband are having marriage problems,
What's going on?
If you don't have a specific question,
You might just be open to receiving whatever guidance comes to you.
Both are fine.
If you do ask a specific question,
Be aware that it takes practice to separate out the answer you want to hear and the answer you actually get.
Go into it with an open mind.
I'll start by asking that this meditation is a safe space,
And that all experiences and all guidance that comes through are for the highest good.
Now it's your turn.
If you have a question,
Ask it out loud.
Dear Universe,
I'm asking for your guidance.
Then ask your question.
If you don't have a question,
You can simply say,
Dear Universe,
I am open to receiving guidance that will help me make the best choices for myself.
I'll give you a moment.
Ready?
Good.
To begin,
Place one hand on your heart and the other hand on your belly.
This helps to activate your parasympathetic nervous system,
Which tells your body and your brain that it's safe to relax.
When you're ready,
Close your eyes.
If you're someone who finds it difficult to keep their eyes closed,
You could try laying a cotton face cloth or a scarf or even a clean sock across your eyes,
Leaving the rest of your face uncovered.
You don't need to drop into deep,
Slow breathing straight away.
If your body isn't ready for it,
It can feel quite panicky.
For your first few breaths,
Just go at your own pace.
The key is to breathe in gently through your nose and then exhale through pursed lips as though you're blowing on a dandelion.
Breathe in through your nose.
Then as you breathe out through your lips,
Imagine the feathery little dandelion florets blowing slowly away.
Breathe in and out.
If you can see the dandelion,
Then well done.
You're using clairvoyance,
One of your extra sensory abilities.
This might sound woo woo,
But it is simply one of the ways that your intuition communicates with you.
A clairvoyant is someone who has mastered this ability in the same way that a musician has mastered their instrument.
Still breathing?
In and out.
Remember the dandelion.
Now as you breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth,
Imagine that you can hear waves crashing on a beach.
If you can hear the waves,
Then well done.
You're using clairaudience,
Which is extra sensory hearing.
Your intuition will send you guidance sometimes through clairaudience,
Which is very different to your inner voice.
Your intuition will never send you scary messages or tell you horrible things about you or about someone you know.
Clairaudience delivers universal knowledge that always,
Always comes from a place of love.
As you breathe in and out again,
Imagine the feeling of sea spray dancing on your skin as the waves crash.
Can you feel the waves?
Maybe you got goosebumps imagining that the spray would feel cold.
This is clairsentience or extra sensory feeling.
If you've ever sensed that someone was in the room before you'd seen,
Heard or even smelled them,
You were using clairsentience.
Clairsentience also sends you signs through things like goosebumps when it's not cold or a twinkling in your belly.
Breathe in and out.
The last clair I want to introduce you to is claircognizance or extra sensory knowing.
When I ask you the question,
What is your name?
The answer comes to you from a place of deep,
Unwavering knowing.
Sometimes your intuition will communicate with you in the same way,
By sending you deep,
Unwavering knowledge that you couldn't possibly have known in the way you know your name.
The key to connecting with your intuition is being open to receiving guidance through all or any of these clairs.
Through images,
Sounds,
A feeling in your body or just a deep knowing.
However the guidance comes,
The more you welcome and trust it,
The stronger and more frequent it will be.
If you have a specific question,
Ask it again now,
Either out loud or in your head,
Or simply ask the universe to send you guidance to help you make the best decisions for yourself.
And now breathe,
Drift and wait.
Pay attention to any sensations,
Any images,
Sounds or sudden downloads of knowledge.
I'll leave you in peace for a minute.
If you want to remain here longer than that,
Hit pause.

It's the last brush to collect a headache now,
Slowly,
Gently drift back into awareness of the here and now.
I've been practicing this meditation for a while now so it usually leaves me with a sense of knowing what to do.
Sometimes I fall asleep and dream about the answer.
Sometimes it feels as though nothing came through and then hours later I'll have an ah-ha moment.
On rare occasions nothing comes through at all and that can mean that I'm not meant to know yet,
To surrender,
To trust that all is in hand.
I like to finish this meditation by bathing myself in light.
If I'm about to go to bed I imagine a gentle,
Calming blue light.
If I'm in the beginning or middle of my day I imagine a warm yellow light filling me up with sunshine.
Use your newly discovered ability of clairvoyance to see that light.
Use claircentience to feel it on your skin.
The more you practice these abilities the stronger they will become.
Breathe in and out.
Slowly wiggle your fingers and toes and blink your eyes a few times as you come back to reality.
Have a beautiful day.
